Hay guys!.. This was my situation.. I baught a R32 GTST that was stolen/revovered/stripped from an auction. Car is in mint condition.. Interior is spotless.. engine bay is shmick as! No rust at all. At the moment, it does not have a turbo, ecu, intake pipeing, AFM or box. I have a lazy RB20DET laying around with all the parts needed for the conversion. Now.. here is my problem.. The mods that were done are apprently awesomely ghetto and mad dodgy.. The previous owner said it has excessive blow by.. The block is of a 25 that APPARENTLY has 1mm oversized pistons (or something of the sort that equates to a 2.6L) It is fitted with an RB20DET head with MINT cams (beleived to be stockers). Do I: a) blow it all off and swap back to an rb20DET and sell for a shitty 9 - 10K? (This would mean I would have to get a new welsh plug fitted that blocks off a hole at the rear of the block, ie. near firewall AND get the block chemically cleaned. Prices for either?) b) Hope the bottom end is not rooted, buy a 25DET head.. convert to full RB25DET.. attach R33 turbo (have at home) and sell for ~13K c) Buy another Rb25DET and swap engines. This means I make less money in the end.. but will be running better.. AND will have spare 2.5 block with forgies.. AND a spare 20DET head. How can I cheak (in the backyard) for blow by? Will a preassure test show me this? Any advice on what ruite/combination to go? Is there any way I can learn more about the engine without stripping its guts out? Can anyone recomend me any tests to learn more about the bottom end? What should be done? Thanks in advance guys!

For the price of a 25.. you can get a 20.. and some nice mods.. Better off spending money on a 20 and mods.. see if you can repair the 20 and sell to make a little bit of money for more mods.. -

ok.. thats just suicide! I go to uni at bathurst.. (all of 200m away from corner 1 of the track).. and these things are FREAKING LOUD! After driving many times around the mountain.. (and even chasing an Eleise funnely enough) around the mountain.. Videos do not do some of the corners, climbs/decents justice.. the corner just before conrod.. is absolutely BALL BREAKING! .. clearly.. cos the driver lost his .. -

Need I say.. the wench was walking home from the trip and didnt get a ride for a few weeks..

Stupid question.. I suppose you would notice the boiling temps by now.. But if your power steering belt the right size/tightented/not too tight? Is there enough Power steering fluid? Pump working? All hoses connected?

Seriously mate.. make sure your tuner know their shit when it comes to Wolf 3d.. cos their FREAKING hard and complex ECU's to tune.. see if you can talk to somoene who has had their Wolf tuned by ur tuner and get some feedback.. Had a mate got his 3d tuned on his 4G63 by some bloke who didnt have much experience with the ecu.. engine ended up shitting itself after only 2,000km!!! Had to buy an entirely new engine! Just make sure you trust this bloke -

You may have to lower compression ratio.. OR.. Go HI COMP TURBO! (SOMEONE DO IT ALREADY!) I dont see why u cant use the A31 ecu.. it will run.. but it may not optimumly.. another thing.. you may need oil feed lines to the turbo from the block.. Id sigguest a retune too.. may need that one.. Have a feeling there is more.. but will dorp back by if i remeber..

Hi flow cat - Power Mandrel bent - Power a good cat back - Power Muffler - +10 on wanker scale and louder.. and yes.. mufflers are included on cat backs.. Personally.. go the second of your options.. i.e. Hi flow cat (may now have MASSIVE benefits on a low power NA car).. mandrel bent 2.5" and a muffler.. this it would suite your wants best dont know much about Xforce products.. or their quality.. Best to do research.. Save and get good quality (like coby) headers.. a full manderl bent 2.25 - 2.5" exhaust.. cat.. and muffler..

can somone accutally confirm it IS a 10K fine!? In NSW? quite appealing.. As said before.. I dont know many cops that rome around with a 3m wire.. that can go around 2 90 degree bends.. and would acctually be the wiser to DO IT go for it.. we care making enough positive changes to afford a miniscule amount more..

How Many Boost Controllers Needed On Gtr

The more the merrier I say.. For double points see if you can get 2 boost controllers PER turbo.. Again.. might be a silly questions.. ..BUT.. If you have a boost controler PER turbo.. you can change each turbo's boost pressure.. so.. can you get one to come in early with a small amount of boost.. and another with a lareger amount of boost later? I.e sequential turbo? ..just a thought.. -
mmm.. sexy.. Im not too sure about the bodgy red silicon.. dont know how many KM's thats gonna last.. but you know.. everyone needs to go through the bodgy stage of modification sooner or later!.. just too see the dangers and negatives involved with it..
