  2. LOL at Dezz - jilted Ferrari fan. Don't worry they will win again and you will love F1 again. Might be waiting some time though.....
  3. Intima SR pads - very good pads for sprints and track days. Excellent value, they are rated to 650 degrees and were kind to my DBA rotors. I got around 4-5 events out of them. Car is an S13 Silvia, 1070kg and 230kw's@wheels. I recently upgraded to the Type D pads which are rated to 850 degrees. After switching to E85 and retune up to 255kw's@wheels I was thinking I might be arriving at corners a little quicker now and thought I'd go the more aggressive pad. The Type D pads were $200 for the front pair.
  4. Audi use Castrol lubricants, shouldn't be too over the top.
  5. It's funny because it's so true!! You said exactly what I was thinking Fatz!!! haha! Legend!
  6. Does anyone want to guess how many Emo's where entered out of the 87 entrants at WTAC? 30!!! That's 34% of the field!!!
  7. For the record, I don't agree with clubsprint cars running front splitters, canards, diffusers and wheel arch flares etc. However, WTAC/Superlap did and has always stated that entry/submission to the event is at the discretion of the organisers. Covering them for any car they want to compete but doesn't really fit the rules. Whilst this rule or disclaimer remains, you will always get cars that don't comply entering and competing. As a spectator, I and alot of others want to see wild stupid fast cars. But hey for Clubsprint the rules should be tightly enforced. WTAC is a great spectacle, and it reminds me of a quote from Chopper, "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!"
  8. Just watched it now. Looks wicked! Can't wait to try it out! Link here:
  9. On the MX5 I reckon you would be able to do 10 quick laps with the V710's. I was worried about running the V710 on a wet track also, but luckily last year I didn't get a wet event all year. You could alway bolt on a set of street tyres if it rains.
  10. I was talking about the V710's being good for 5 laps. Very consistent over 5 laps. 1st lap is just as fast as the 5th lap.
  11. V710's are awesome. Best bang for buck and at just over $1000 even better value. DO IT! You won't regret it. I actually got 9 supersprint events out of 1 set. Only on the 9th event did the lap times drop off. They still have life in them, just not as fast anymore. On your light MX5 they will transform the car and you may get more life out of them. Also against full slicks, they heat up quicker and you go faster sooner. Good for 5 laps but they can over heat if punished for longer. Just remember they are designed as a autocross/sprint tyre.
  12. Yes Chris. Entries are still open to non-registered competitors. Entry form found here: http://www.supersprints.com.au/forms/entry/R1%20Entry%20Form.pdf
  13. I've registered again for this year. I've competed for 3 years now and it's a great competition and I've made lots of friends. I don't think I'll be able to commit to doing every round like I did last year, but I'm hoping to do at least half of them. One thing I am worried about though is the track progress (or lack of) at Eastern Creek. With all this rain they have been delayed alot. Not sure if they will have the South Circuit finished in time for some of the scheduled events. Heard a rumour the track work won't be finished until later this year like Aug-Sept.
  14. ^^ Nice wheel lift in the last photo Chris! You car seems better set up handling wise than the Pug behind you. Did you leave him/her in your dust?
