  1. Yeah cause of his power output i said the hypergear, the GCG ones do make more power though.
  2. 150-170 depends on alot of factors though. (cams, head mods, pistons etc)
  3. Yeah again every thing is relative the turbo is cheaper but the Hypergear is not a true bolt on as it requires different intake piping and oil lines so it costs a bit more to fit than a GCG but is still within the means of any DIYer. For what you want i would get the smallest highflow and aim for 230rwkw.
  4. sweet on a sr or rb20
  5. old but good.... i bet it started as the owner was a tightass [icked the chea[est kit and the cheapest install.
  6. that even i did not know.... i buy cranks and blocks (used too) but figured heads would be drug money.... off to nissan 2moro
  7. Nistune 550cc injectors Z32 Fuel pump bosch 040 Hypergear hiflow or HKS gtrs.
  8. Believe me we dont expect anything from SAU My point for this thread is to a) make sure evryone steers clear of this ass???? and b) use a few forum guys who are handier than me to track him
  9. yeah should work as ive fitted rb25 (r33) to r34 and used the 34 hardware on it.
  10. looking at the power figure of 203rwkw at 12psi std ecu i would say the opposite
  11. i consider 10-20rwkw close enough to same @ thier power level. It tends to be a boutique oil issue, and ive since heard that 300v and E85 issues may be based on one workshops experience (feedback to link) so i might look into the 300v thing abit more.
  12. I have a cop mate tracing the rego as we speak, i did not buy the engine but a customer did and said he got it via SAU so i thought i would ask around for him.
  13. No they are getting the same power as they were running sunoco before. I cant post up the details as they wish to stay anonymous. One of the V8 supercar teams we went and did a corporate day with also advised / warned me they have also revised thier O/H strategies for E85 too.
  14. Forum Name Charlie4401 from kingaroy QLD http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ch...401-m47149.html Just need some more info so i can get things sorted, we were waiting on a RB30 engine.... the guy answers the phone now but denies knowing anything about it...
  15. Go make some noise dont baby it either.
  16. and you would be lucky to make 160rwkw if it did.
  17. These ecu's depending on the "exact" tune work pretty well, i have had some come through which were pretty close (making 230-240rwkw) to being spot on, BUT many are generic loaded tunes and run mega rich from the mid range onwards. The limiter is most likely 8800 as most jap limiters are set there as it saves the oil pump (less chance of accidently hitting limiter), they are not pointless limiter bashers like many morons in this country Depending on the ecu (33 or 32) as many R33 come with remaped R32 ECU's as the R32 ecu is half the price to modifiy. If it is a R32 GTR ecu you can fit a nistune board to it or burn a new chip for it. I reccomend the Nistune as it allows live tuning and no chip burning. We usually install a Nistune board (fully programmable) to it with an adjusted setup to suit 14-15psi and 98ron if it is the R32 GTR ecu, if its the R33 ecu you are stuck as no-one does them. Post a pic of the silver sticker on the ECU and i can tell you what model it is. My reccomendaion if it is a R33 ECU is to buy a R32 GTR ecu and get unigroup to do a nistune conversion to it.
  18. the way i see it, that response from brada31ke70 is like handing someone a $1000 invoice..... do it and its gonna cost you a crank grind, engine flush and new bearings... plus all the relevant labour...
  19. i must admit having no rollers opens up so many more tuning possibilities than i had previous on a roller type dyno. Things i never even though possible or relevant become handy, some now i use every tune. Especially cars with high HP, cars with big stalls 5000 onwards are also so much easier to tune properly when you dont have to "work around traction" issues.
  20. You can move a boost curve around by 1500rpm based on ramp times regardless of diff ratio or gear, so it is hard to tell. And some dynos are roller speed limited (dyno dynamics) which means some cant be run ( 1 : 1) TBH @ the end of the day you cant really compare dyno graph unless the two cars are run with the same settings ramp and diff ratios (like you posted). I do an average pull of about 9seconds in 4th, i have seen other operators run a time of about 16 seconds which is double and will move the whole graph to the left.... fairly heavily skewing the results making them look favourable (too responsive) too i might add.
  21. haha 30psi rolls off stao's tongue too easy if only it was soo easy.
  22. Speed rpm are the same thing..... (speed is useless without drag etc) your pull is from 15kmh to 200 or 1500-8000 its the same thing when standing still, BUT if you time each gear in the car you can replicate this on the dyno in the ONE gear (1 / 1) if need be or we can what we do for a super sedan style car. We do pulls in 4 gears (ecu has gear/ based mapping) as they have two overdrive gears (300+ kmh) which load the engine more up top especially with added wind resistance. We datalog the car @ phillip island and sandown and run the dyno pulls accordingly.
  23. yeah my limit is still 20 for reliability sake but on a bigger turbo like this it is still ultra efficient so the head room is higher than say a high flow at the same boost. (the point of diminishing return). I would be happy on E85 to push probably another 20-30rwkw out of hamish's car for dyno queen status but we really wanted a direct comparo @ the same boost. Oh and prepare your self for an sms daniel i hear you want to play dyno's on friday.
