  1. yeah soon it will be repainted, we have a corporate ride day set up at sandown in a fortnight so after that we will get it back up to scratch in new shop colours.
  2. nah i would not as they dont like retainng the extra heat, i have a few coated ones crack after only a few track days.

  4. engines coming out to do back to back testing on combustion chamber mods (quench chamber removal) so next week we will have definitive data on its merits.

  11. New combo came up nicely, for only 18psi, i expect to see boost come in around 200rpm earlier on the final tune and at least 420-430rwkw. We have gained 50NM of torque from 5500rpm onwards. Unfortunatly the dyno shot i posted rolls over @ 7400rpm but it hit my next load point and dropped into my safety zone of 10.5:1 afr. The final runs actually ran strong all the way to 8800rpm and the last run made over 600nm from 5500rpm but the graph is incomplete so ive left it off. Car should go back on the dyno in a week or so.   12. shit should have read the whole thing first. make sure you find out why it was dropping a cylinder before you thrash it again. make sure its not a injector connector as an injector intermittantly cutting out under load will melt a cylinder quick smart.
  13. i reckon you killed a slug. Check your injectors i bet it will be your intermittant cylinder drop.....
  14. got to suprastore.com 90 bucks each or 580ish for a full set.... bought a few from there over the years cause its common for them to snap the connectors off.
  15. id just about put money on a hurt cylinder, you wont see it burning. LS1's had the same issue 1 litre per 2500km's and most owners could not find the source.
  16. used quite a bit of thier gear over the years and been very happy (cranks, intercoolers, oil coolers, hard pipes etc) the only things ive had dramas with is the radiators.
  17. being an adelaidian myself i have used all the mentioned turbo guys mention here and i reckon gcg (the only place i get mt turbos and repairs nowadays) have forgotten more about turbos than said adelaide shop knew to begin with . Remmber they are competitors and said adelaide shop is quick to bag out others.

  20. the gze pistons are forged, the ge are not. TBO a rb25 complete engine is have the price (we see them weekly for 750-1k as long engines no access or turbo), easily available and far more reliable than a 2.4.

  22. HAHA i had to just quickly check this thread make sure it wasn't a clown who'd been in contact with us. I had some joker named Alistair ring and ask for a build quote on a rb30det build, i quoted 6-8k for us to do it our way, he said "jam it up your ass your way off the mark" Cat replied we don't build slapper's and i will only build rb30det's to Trent's specs (dont want any comebacks, and wont assemble other peoples work) but apparently this just aggravated him more and we are now dumb KENTS and apparently are going to have a shit life.... some people just don't get it Looks like we dodged a tosser Had us pissing our selves for ages.
