  1. How did it go? we have a built jobbie with gt40 on it, customer underestimated the setup and injectors ran out @ 425rwkw i reckon low 500's @ reasonable boost. I only ask as i have a 2.5l (from gizzmo elecronics) soarer here also with a gt40 and i reckon the 37 would have been better.
  2. Yeah we did another Adaptronic in a AE86, came up real nice and gained quite a bit over the std ecu. Still waiting to get the Turbo MX5 back for its final tuning... cant wait.
  3. Yeah should be no issue, it all even fitted in our S13 back when it had twins.... before we saw the light of a single
  4. yeah i reckon that would do it, i was'nt sure of the combination.
  5. not to be an ass but i think i have 6 S15 injectors here at work.
  6. From memory it was only cas wires, you could try just swap 41 and 51 then swap 42 and 52. I have lost my wiring bible as my 2nd tuning laptop's hard drive failed.
  7. Nah unfortunatley not, and to make it hard the car has had a knock from day one which means (A) i dont want to put it on the dyno and (b) its had previous electrical issues. If i had known all this before it was booked in for a "tune" i probably would not have touched it at all and sent it elsewhere. Sometimes i need to draw the line. I wont charge for anytime i spent on it.
  8. the hooker mufflers are nice too ive used a few (center /center) on 3 and 4" systems. http://www.holleytv.com/video/1436 the trust power extreme II is also a nice street exhaust (10123000 is part number)
  9. performance wholesale, total seal, sealed power etc i think the last set i got for our comp engine was only 190 ish.
  10. burnt.... probably oil control rings in number 5.
  11. $150 complete @ just about any wreckers....
  12. Personally i wont temp fate. soon as injectors get to 90% on std rail pressure i pull the pin. I hate regs and only use them where it is required ie aftermarket rail etc. There are plenty of people that do it and have no issues but i just wont, its a personal preference more than anything.
  13. ive found the hks style dumps to be the best, the ces split style ones dont seem to offer any benefit other than a lighter wallet. We did back to back testing with the cheap DRIFT (trust/tomei copy) and the CES split on a s15 with gt2871r and found no difference.
  14. beware as alot of the rb24's split bores after awhile..... be sure to sonic test your block (double check the trust side) before doing one.
  15. with map sense all this can be tuned around, afm is a bit more involved but can be done to give acceptable results.
  16. yeah i tried to quash that in my thread above, and the power thing. Ive found the new GCG highflows to deliver the goods up top. Bas is one of about three we have tuned in the past 6 or so months and from memory was 268 or 269 (dont have it on this comp).
  17. pull it and nistune it I notice you have ecu remap chip? why do you have a copgy also? email the map if you like and i will have a look, i would say it is setting off a flag in the factory ecu more than anything. Probably inj duty, TP limit, Boost sensor limit (17psi ish) or similar... the consult log would be a better place to start looking.
  18. quickly; what happens is the afm will hit 5.12v or whatever at say 5000rpm at 13psi, anywhere above this boost level the ecu will trace along the same line as it did @ 13psi so say at 17psi the ecu still thinks its running 13psi. To over come this you need to tune the 13psi line for 17psi therefore at 13psi you have the same timing and fuel values.... this means it is rich and retarded from say 12-16.5psi....
  19. hypergear, but the gcg ones tend to make 10-20rwkw (34 makes more than 33) more at the same boost.
  20. depends on the model car, they are cheap so dont expect much but so far no major issues (except AE86, we've used about 10 so far in diff cars), i wont be putting one in any decent track cars though. We flow tested a ASI GTR version against the KOYO and greddy ones and they were a long way behind (i think the ASI (and most cheap china rads) top and lower tanks are too small)
  21. the gcg ones make more power than the hypergear ones but are less responsive, we regularly see 270rwkw from the gcg high flows but i definitely would not tune one stock injectors and AFM..... sketchy to say the least...
  22. someone down the line was color blind
  23. ill still bet money its a nicked o-ring on the injectors..... I have said it before in this thread THE CAR WILL RUN FINE WITH THE INJECTORS SET TO 100% IN THE PFC AS THEY ARE ONLY SLIGHTLY BIGGER THAN STD 440 up from 370cc..... You have another issue, nicked or incorrect oring.... i see this about 3 times a week @ my shop from guys incorrectly fitting them themselves.
  24. ah yes and borneo's
  25. agreed. But those rad shroud kits are a bit dear (can get rad and setup for that price from ASI on ebay) for a fan controller use this, it is the best ive used full stop. http://shopdrift.com/Products/D1-RFCD12V/R...troller12V.aspx
