  1. Will do Jim, i need another night out i probably should have picked my words better and i appologise but the edit button does'nt work after an hour or so and after re-reading i knew i was gonna cop it.... My point was supposed to highlight the last thing i posted.... similar pump but cheaper.. cant be a bad thing? Not that CRD got "Kicked" from the network. i will eat my words.
  2. two different methods to achieve the same results. all trust turbos are bush (something i prefer even though i use more bb, due to brainwashed ppl) i cant honestly compare back to back as the only pair of turbos yet to grace my shop are the GT-RS
  3. To my knowledge the NITTO pump was derived from the GREDDY and JUN pumps.... im pretty sure it was a GREDDY one sent by CRD overeseas to be replicated, one of the reasons they were pulled from the distributors list. Same pump and cheaper cant be a bad thing really. Copy NITTO pump Original GREDDY / JUN (same pump)
  4. T618Z's and GT-RS are rated at 400ps Comp specs; IN 50.5mm OUT 68mm Exh Specs; IN 55.3mm OUT 65mm HKS GT-RS Comp specs; IN 51mm OUT 71.1mm Exh Specs; IN 47mm OUT 63mm
  5. this also seems to be bit of a myth (for later compliance cats anyway), maybe to sell cats? i see alot of cheap aftermarket cats being not much better than the later compliance cats...
  6. yeah, bit of a touchy subject, they were bought from a fellow sauer and are not real flash, real poor spray pattern at idle...... they are the old siemens type. Shame as the rest of the car is mint, we are working out a solution atm.
  7. i just found out why... the Camtech SR20 titanium spring and retainer set i just received is actually BC gear (brian crower gear) Maybe all their jap valve train gear is just BC rebranded? i think the JZ stuff we used previous was very BC like too, and since BC does not make RB26 gear i reckon their solution is Performance springs... something i'm not happy to use..
  8. R34 clutch fairs much better than the R33 item.... remmeber the r34 and r33 have TOTALLY different clutches... also the car would slip after a few pulls which is why we stopped chasing results.
  9. on a 3l they would be quite fun, whats done up top? what sort of power? and at what boost? Ive never used them on a 3litre.
  10. they are setup as secondary injectors with the emanage.... its what happens when marketing get involved with technical stuff... would you believe it was running an e-manage blue too ? ive got the tune here somewhere as i used it for tech seminars
  11. Camtech do a spring and titanium retainer set... might be worth a call? we have used 2JZ ($550rrp) and SR20 ($450rrp), im yet to use their RB kit so im not sure of the price.
  12. well the keysborough bypass has full on drags most weekends from about 1am..... my workshop backs onto it and i hear them flat out. The othe night there was a few tubbed 8's out (only things that leave steam roller marks) and something with anti-lag and launch control..... i though my backyard was calder park on friday nights.... must admit i have'nt seen the action only heard it...... sometimes goes on for an hour or so....
  13. Agreed. As for gaskets i alwasy use a phenolic gasket on the inlet (big drops in IAT on a GTR and RB30's) but for the headgasket i like to know what material has been removed from the head and block during machining. A metal MLS head gasket and a genuine full gasket kit can now be supplied in a kit (minus gen head gasket) from MDS spares in melbourne at alot less coin than everywhere else.
  14. HAHA i supplied the information for that flyer years ago....when i was doing the buying for their stores (TRUST / BLITZ / APEXI etc) I DID NOT supply the fit times though ..... i think if you look at the Td06-l2 kit flyer for SR20 they just stole it from that some of the said receipe is included in that flyer.
  15. Ive done a few sets of T618Z's and usually against my recomendations, the engine work required to make them work is extensive... but for your application they might fit the bill. The T618z's are designed for drag and circuit use and i have personally been in a GTR with the 618's on a well setup TRUST car and it was awesome (700+ps @ 1.8bar), i supplied TRUST's receipe to a shop out sunbury way, including all the parts about 4-5 years ago but due to reasons i cant post it never performed.... shame as it was a waste and had heaps of potential. Big cams, port work, big boost (they are rated 1.5 - 1.9bar) and rpm are needed to make them work, a nice white street / ciruit GTR here in melb (creatd built) has run low to mid 10's with a custom pair of garrets built by rotomaster to T618z specs... again with a built motor to suit... expect to turn your motor inside out.
  16. Ha-Ha cheers also from us and Gizzmo, ray will be stoked. The k-mon is well regarded overseas (UK and USA) but receives little feedback here... good to see it got the well deserved plug. Ive been using it for years and was stoked when anthony wanted to source one from us as i knew it would take his tuning a step further.
  17. good choice, top workshop.
  18. what dyno that torque looks kinda screwy, nice power though.
  19. this is a fairly isolated issue as we install 2 -3 a week and have never had this issue, one thing to check is that the gain and duty switches were switched aroiund and that your not actually adjusting gain. if it still plays up send me the control unit and i will get it flased to the latest ibc firmware. We are building ray from gizzmo's (owner) new project at the workshop and see him regulary.
  20. if it falls through let me know i have a customer chasing one for a project we are doing.
  21. nice software, works a treat. sounds horn too the car not the software.
  22. oil flows out the side hole and back to the engine via the centre. (retainer thread) but if cooler is getting hot then it is flowing.
  23. Link G4 is a great ECU you will see alot of the skyline community using them, often called Vipec here in aus as they rebrand them.
  24. 11.6mm from memory with 3L springs. Just remmeber the valves will hit the pistons with this much lift, relieving is needed.
