  1. nah anyone can do it, its just not worth remapping it UNLESS IT is LIVE tuneable.. i refuse to do anything that is not live tuneable. There are plenty of options and tuners who can do it.
  2. they cant be that bad they built your engine... so im lead to believe.
  3. blitz ebc (dsbc) is untouchable, simple as that the best curves i see day in day out are always from dual solenoid blitz boost controllers, the profec b is still a very good controller as is the gizzmo.
  4. agreed running a few extra psi nets better gains.
  5. just what you want on a big build.... an ECU cutting in and out at 7000rpm...... Honestley if the swapped to another connector type i would use more on 4 cylinders, if they upgraded again to 8 drivers then i would use more again.

  8. i've had a few with connector issues, they use the cheapest damn conectors for the main power and earth circuits its embarrassing. Other than that they are a capable low end budget ECU, i certainly would not run a big dollar engine off one though.
  9. was going to be stroked windsor 351 - 427 with twin T04Z's but we have been approached by a certain manufacturer to build something else, so i'll let you know the minute its settled.
  10. haha know that tune well, changing ecu's is always part of evolution and can only ever increase ones skillset.

LOL mate i understand i dont know if im martha or arthur im that busy little own the time of day or nght i went down there, had a few mag editors in here the other day doing a BEFORE and AFTER article which put me even further behind.... days hours have no meaning anymore its just light and dark and lots of dyno noise.... if im lucky i get to visit the engine room....
  12. yeah ive done 4 cars now, one on rays, one str8 from sabbadins and two from T&E ?? in paky all with in reasonable limits. Rays was a good test for differrences between 4 and 5th. I ve also had heaps of remaps come in from DRDRIFT that i have tuned that pulled close to thier sheets on my dyno before we started any work. Pretty sure DRDRIFT's is pretty much always spot on... it should read the same as MPC's as its the same dyno There should be hardly any wheelspin at a lowly 260 rwkw...

  15. yeah the OKADA stuff is pretty much the ducks guts.... think japans fastest super lap GTR (M speed)... think OKADA ignition.
  16. yeah agreed, the VH45 has a few issues, i have had a few infinitys through that have shat themselves all with chain guide issues which have ended in catastrophic engine failure... if you belive it is only isolated feel free to read this forum (infinity forum) which outlines the issue in great detail. once you determine which year you engine is and whether or not is has had the guides done then yes they are a killer engine, if not the are pretty much a time bomb. http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=25201
  17. after seeing the article in HPI i would probably put an emanage ultimate in one over the haltech.... the gains were piss poor.

  19. haha you spend too much time typing...... and coming up with conspiracy theories :laughing-smiley-014: dont get me started with you just plain reading into things that just aint there..... i dont know how you find the time... im too busy on the dyno all day to keep track of it all... just thought id let you know that i looked at athids dyno time (@RE's) it was 2pm about the same time as MAS ambient temp also about the same (within 2degrees of MAS) dyno graph below. didnt check baro as frankly i couldnt be fkd. agreed cars are always run in 1:1...thats why athid had the whinge every one knows s15 are 6 speed, and 5th is 1:1. oh and ignore the boost levels ray had some boost scale issues on the first few runs, all runs were 23psi. feel free to ring and ask him if you think its another conspiracy
  20. yeah everyone was out, we ran athids car on RE customs dyno the other night and it came up within a poofteeth of mine.... they dyno operator told athid it should be run in 4th (car was s15) and it ran 240rwkw..... ran it at re's and it ran 280 in 5th on 19"s with wheelspin... then ran it in 4th and it made 259rwkw. If it had had been done properly athid would have taken out 4cyl turbo EASY... (LOVE THE BULLSHIT ABOUT HIGHER READINGS IN A LOWER GEAR) DARRENs supra from ran well below its hp level (400hp off on sat) until sunday when it got tweaked to suit and rocketed to top position... only to be outdone by GAS on the last run of the day. Angelos r33 GTR from racepace ran mid 314rwkw.....well down so it was pretty much all workshops with odd readings..... not foul play just poor operators. shit even a R32 GTR pulled 140.... talk about sad..

  22. i figured he knew about semis and dynos... but looking at the rear gaurds (painted rubber black) it would have been fun to watch im sure we will see it at the track as his last venture out with red one ended with him having to fit a chute (also on display at MAS).
  23. yeah something like that, same as the supra on saturday (bout 300rwkw short and 650-700hp on sat, then retuned on sunday pulled 1200hp).... all in the dyno operator.... it would have been easy to pull the right numbers with a bit of tuning to suit the way they were running....
