  3. 3 words semis+dyno=fail. customer left his semis on and it would not ride the rollers.... only spin....i was not there on sat to tell him to swap on some hard shitty tyres but offered to be there on sunday to tune it to suit the ramp rate only to be told not enough time.. very dissapointing. Due to the ramp they were using most cars were off but those who took the time to quickly tune to the ramp rate did well.. darrens supra pulled well over 1100hp on sunday (to take out top spot, then they put the GAS car back on to beat it.... ) but pulled 700hp the day before... dwayne from hi-torque did a stellar job to bring it up to suit the dyno conditions.... if only we had a chance to do the same, im sure we would have pulled mid 900's based on sats results.

  6. ^^^ too true all the import 26's i've got over the years pretty much shit the turbos after as little a month... they really dont like sitting idle. in the scheme of things a set of cheap garret 2860's would be a wise investment...
  7. ive had good results with toshiba and HP, im currently using a compaq and it is SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT.... and makes me very emotional... so i just picked up another toshiba and yoga classes to sort my shit out.

  11. it comes down to how many comprimises you want to make....... especially on a v8 1UZFE... dont get me wrong i have a killer big cammed AE86 here now with one im installing and tuning (if in vic feel free t drop past). i will post up the results in the next day or so.
  12. i have sold about 20 of them over the years but no longer bring them in, best bet is to buy their bundle kit with USB as it has the least interface issues. I have used over the years all sorts of serial to USB and none work as well as theirs.

  14. i still havent found anything even close to the data logit softare for stability and ease of use.... co-pilot shmopolite.
  15. best off doing it properly, slap in some forged pistons for good measure as the bore would be hell sloppy with just a re-ring after 15yrs of abuse.

Most are made to spec, i use alot of the jap pistons (TRUST) purely cause they have a nicer crown design (especially SR20) and the tolerances (and ring packs) are far superior, yes they are outsourced but no the are not shelf items. I have even tried to buy direct from the manufacturer and they will not supply.... actually deny even making them.
  17. this is a killer car, i had the pleasure of tuning it a few months back and its bit of a freak... made decent power at lowish boost and handles very well due to the full sydney kid whiteline / bilstein suspension kit.... good luck with the sale.
  18. get a decent ecu........ hand me down remap shit is always gonna cause dramas. i heard you say your mate was a good remapper? get him over with a few brewskies.
  19. they are pretty shite, even the arias are better and will cost way under 1k.
  20. i sell both exedy and ORC and the orc is a way better clutch, if you compare apples to apples the exedy clutches are dearer by a fair margin. http://www.mcse1000.fsnet.co.uk/Ogura2.jpg i use a ORC-709d behind our 26 and have tried just about everything including a carbon twin.
  21. new std coils are better than any aftermarket option but they are way too dear, the twin power kit works very when matched to functioning std coils but it cant fix a dodgy coil. There are plenty of 700hp and up cars running std coils with a decent amplifier like the hks or ULtra twin power kits.... veilside is pushing over 1000ps on std coils.

  23. there are two water temp sensors one for the ecu the other for the dash, just fit rb20 water and oil pressure sensors to the neo.
