  6. like a bridgeport rotary (brup, brup, brup, brup) ..... real nice rotational lump... best sounding RB idle i have ever heard.. about 1200rpm.
  7. not attacking toshi but i agree, you CANNOT trust an over the counter ecu you to give both decen gains and safety.... it is IMPOSSIBLE.
  8. indy blues, they look the same only the indys have a black body not silver..... 1600cc. i think it is covered on page 6 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tu...html&st=100

  13. haha c'mon kiddies 6000 with a 18cm is More responsive than 7000 with the 22cm option.....
  14. I was thinking maybe run a dyno day on the SAT? it may pay for expenses? then tune a few on the sunday for a select few. This is how we are going to do the one in ingleburn NSW in coming months.
  15. cheers i reckon i will see the 22cm come in sooner or later, but yeah it seems everyone is a critic and quick to judge... kinda kills the fun outta playing with cars... as for the injectors it turns out they were most likely indy blues... but hey i have already been shot for guessing they were blitz 1000cc (also blue in color) .... them the brakes.
  16. All the above is false so disregard it.... VipEC is a rebadged link. $both very good PFC can be got new for $1500 EMU can be got for under $1000 in fact i have one for sale that i did a back to back comparison with the VIPEC fully tuned to suit S1 and S2 R33 (plug and play $900) HALTECH more than $1500 PLUG in MOTEC N/A only wire in. (plug ins for subaru and mitsy only)
  17. access auto in vermont vic always have stock, never let me down....
  18. wheelworx all top blokes.... always helpful always smiling
  19. it will be rear wheel bearings.
  20. i 100% agree, kinda my point above. I have had one of the summernats crazy supercharged V8's on my dyno and it fell way short of what it was apparentley making... like a staggering 330rwhp..... owner put it down to mecahnical issues but by all means was running sweet as and leaning on it anymore would have resulted in tears.
  21. No im saying that power figures are all over the place, there is no way my dyno reads 200hp high... so my point is what are these other clowns doing??? you implied that i fudged the dyno (impossible with the dynapack) to make it read high, i am mearly saying if anything my dyno reads conservative compared to older versions and nearly bang on to late model DD's. (i have averaged between 2 and 3 tunes a day since i bought this new dyno and a total of 93 diferrent cars so i have pretty good comparisons to go by as MOST of my tuning is reparing other peoples tunes so customers nearly always front up a dyno sheet... ) last thing i expected was some self professed expert to get all bent up about it.... as i said before we will leave it to other dynos to see what it pulls... probably pull 5000hp at summernats , i am 100% confident of 900+ consistant pulls regardless of dyno type. BTW if you believe there is a 500hp drivetrain loss in a skyline you are surely misguided.... even my old V8 auto 1994 lost half that between the engine dyno and the old dd i used to use.
  22. injector duty (btw i guessed 1000cc, i just looked at the color) was a concern during final runs and ultimately determined peak power (base pressure is also something i would like to leave unsaid) but it was an area well and sorted. All this stuff is really unimportant but anyway...cause at the end of the day it is only a figure but previous heavy hitters running in the 550-700rwkw range on my dyno went on to run nearly 150rwkw more on a dyno dynamics dyno on the westside of melbourne in a dyno comp in dd shootout mode (preparations for the next summer nats) so im pretty confident that the car makes between 950 and 1050 genuine horsepower... as ive said previous any doubters are more than welcome to bring thier cars down and run them up on the dyno for free (providing they make decent numbers, as my time is money) and they can see for themselves.
  23. kinda like to keep that under wraps (like engine specifics and headwork etc) but leaner than the average tune i see come in.
  24. DO TELL the result seems nearly spot on... i spose autosalon will reveal all.
  25. I love NOS and most of my V8 streeters have had at least a 150hp kit fitted. The broom below was my daily (back in the street racng days) had 200hp kit fitted... This R34 used no nitrous, all runs were on sunoco high ocatne fuel As for rev limit your right but on the dyno there was no point reving it past 8400 as the tune from 8400-9200 stayed the same. On the strip the extra rpm defnately would help stretch the top end.
