TOYO R1R is the best street semi i have used, likes the wet and the dry.
We use the 888 on the race car and they are spot on but they are too track orientated for a daily much like RE55 they are not your best friend on a cold wet day.

piece of piss although dont expect it to ever handle as good as it did with the SR
we run a similar setup but now use R34 GTR rear as the geometry is far superior to the r32 GTR
haha no stress, the L2 actually runs a smaller exhaust wheel 61mm compared to the 06S-20g (65mm) but the blade profile is totally differrent. It is the same as a T67. The compressor (front wheel) is identicle on 06S and L2. The L2 is rated to 430ps (which is nearly spot on what we squezed out of the EVO, i cannot match this with any NISSAN engine yet the best i can get is 400ps or just shy of 300kw) with an 8cm the 06S is rated the same but needs a 12cm housing to meet the max therefore becomes laggier. I cannot explain the L2 it is bit of a freak, all i can put it down to is the aggressive pitch and fewer blade setup on the l2.
tis a funny thing this latency adjustment, uchida-san has told me to use 0 in both fields if using std injectors and to chance it only when upgrading.... but some older EMU prefer to have some adj in there.. i have played with a few settings and got good results so tryinputing a few values between 0-0.7 and see where it runs best at. It always works fine with larger injectors i found.
It is a very rare issue but i have come accross it. Usually updating the EMU fixes it.
for some reason it is only the L2 20g that will stretch into the 290-300rwkw range the S 20g wont come close unfortunately. I have customer / good family friend with an evo 6.5 TME (soon to be in hpi) making over 300awkw with a L2-20g (record for l2) on two separate nsw dyno's. and 2 customers with rb20's making 268-274rwkw at only 1.2ish bar. The S-20g tends to fall over at anything above 1.25-1.3bar. i reckon the L2 is like a T67 with 7/10ths the lag
I reckon no-one uses the HKS 2835 (0.61 56t) but us... because it is dear and difficult to source.
most of my customers tend to want 250-290rwkw with maximum response in thier sr's and rb's and taking a quick look and talking to many D1 teams it is easy to see why 9 out of the top 10 run greddy 06 or 67 variants because they offer the best balance between response and power and delivery is unique.
For 25 owners (wanting 280rwkw) i will post a T67 (8cm) vs gt3540 comparo that was done today up here 2moro..... very interesting and proves my point that bigger and less boost is backwards thinking. Final result was 10rwkw less up top but 40rwkw more through out the mid and only started to taper off right up top all at 1.15bar versus 1.2 with the 3540. Next test is 10cm housing on the T67 versus 8cm to guge exact response difference and peak power limit of it on a std (internal) rb25. i hazard to guess 320rwkw 1.2-1.3bar and 20rwkw throughout the whole rpm range over the 3540.
there is no aftermarket side feed rails..... greddy and all the others only make top feed conversion rails.
GEETR; yeah the Blitz/Sard and so forth need collars to fit the rx7 style side feeds into the skyline rail.
haha i would not even contemplate using the 16 rear housing on a rotary.... it is way to big not a viable comparison. Fit a 1.0 housing to the GT3040 then it would be a closer comparo
i had the TD05-20g 14 on my rb25 and even it was way to laggy for me here are the recommended sizes;
10 for rb25 and 8 for rb20... 10 on a rb20 if you want high 200's.
HAHA too true, i lost her a few times.... i had to sit down to find her. HMMM i was told by everyone at blitz and so forth that the N700 was the fastest..... travel time indicated it as this also maybe it is due only to the fact it stops less?
but true to their info it was the quietest and the green car has first class aircraft style seats.
most importantly it look fkn crazy
yup... even the baby 06 the L2 makes 265-275rwkw at 1.2bar with std eng and 256/264's and will have upto 50-70rwkw more throughout the mid. At 1.5bar with plenum and 272's it would match that 290-300rwkw and still have much more mid.... or simply get the SH 06. the 3071R is also a good option but they are soft to drive and are no match for an 06.
Im my experience there are only two choices for rb20:
td06
and HKS GT2835 0.61 52t which is the small inlet version.
they were all pretty much sticker mules, once someone cracks the ecu.... then ill start paying attention. Even HKS had fake ECU laptop screen shots on show.....
did you use a local aftermarket cat? i know the stupid xforce (all nissan) ones are based on aussie s15 cats and they are 3-4cm longer than the jap ones which are all the same size.
it will run but dont expect it to run sweet though, good enough to just daisy it around. remmeber it will still run good enough to turn it self inside out.
haha yeah i got first dibs on it it was the stand out at the demo's at TAS too.
the D1 R35 is pretty much all sorted provided NISSAN japan allow it, there is still some negativity towards drift in the upper echelons of NISSAN and they are worried about negative feedback from snobby potential customers.
We spoke extensively about both cars and general business and honestly NISSAN would be mad to pass on the opportunity especially as nomuken is second only to Keiichi-Tsuchiya recognition wise. Travelling around will nomuken is like travelling around with god especially in f*kuoka the last leg of our stay.... it started to feel like we were punishing him because he just gets hounded flat out by everyone... free sake at every restaurant was dangerous too .

they are doing multiple Nissan upgrade projects for me atm.
what other mods apart from the T78 does it have? cams etc?? cause if your still after 700hpatw the T78 17cm is a better option.
my sugestion is to drop to the 14cm housing and if you have stock cams fit gears and wind in 4-6 advance on the inlet and 3-4degrees retard on the exhaust and work from there.
if you still are not happy you could drop one size to the 29d i have seen this make 730ps with 272 and 280 degree camshalfs, 720cc injectors, twin Z32's on a 2.7litre @ 8500rpm.
