  1. you need the same thing to tune a PFC..... if you not tuning it dont bother as you tuner has one.
  2. what board is yours (little letter on the top of the circuit board) is it (d) (e) etc? only the later boards have knock display.
  3. comes with it, all you need to remmeber is to use the internal ignition adapter and set jumper 8 to 12v
  4. thats absolute bullshit, if your car is a shit box course it will have issues..... blame the radiator not the cap......FFS i can tell you now if it had std cap it would have spewed all its coolant all over the place then probaly cooked itself.... if the rad was in good nick it would been fine. think of it as fitting a bigger turbo to a tired engine.... not a good idea. the whole point is to increase the pressure to raise the vapourisation point, works very well so well in fact i have them fitted to all the tow cars we use. When towing the race cars around the old patrol (2006 model) used to vent the cap during towing and continue to pump the coolant out of the resevoir now it is sweet. Same with most cars that see track days or hills work. best budget cooling upgrade available.

  6. the KAZAMA ones and URAS ones come off the same lproduction line (some of my kazama ones have come boxed inside URAS cartons and vice versa ) and are ALUMINIUM, they feature high quality rose joints and a dust cover. Honestley they are very differrent to the shite that is often offered for sale around the place. I have a set in the street car and cats for 2 1/2 years now and have not had to change the rose joints at all.... (in fact i have not even serviced the street car ones) i would say they are every bit as good as cusco items.
  7. ok finally here is the Airflow output map video.... i shovelled enough coal into my home server to load it up aflowoutputmap.zip
  8. give ben or grant at otomoto a call on 0298981655
  9. i have bought a few TOMEI pumps over the years and have one in our current S13/26 and it definately came with reg/damper and all associated mounting hardware.
  10. i have the GTR proof that shows it is just as capable. i wont go as far as saying one is better than the other because i do both and both do the job admirably.... what i dont accept is people rubbishing the EMU and making rash statements that it wont match PFC.... cause i see it it match pfc all day everyday. Proof in the pudding is greddys 1000ps emu powered GTR.
  11. I have a lot of respect for the JJR guys because they do what they do well but that comment maybe sour grapes due to them not being granted a GREDDY account.... Look at Jim at CRD he is a pro at the EMU and i would say that he is a gun at every ECU becuase he understands the theory behind the numbers... he is not a key puncher like like many. Greddy even commented on how good his EMU skills are, he matched the jap guru kw for kw in a recent tuning display at CRD and he did it quickly.... the sign of a great tuner. If you are in Sydney and want an EMU tuned you would be crazy to go anywhere else, especially if you want the best you possibly can outta the thing.
  12. same thing with zips.... and pdf's and xls..... its all bad
  13. I might be getting flown up to MT ISA to do some emanage and powerfc tuning later this year so i will sling you a email if it goes ahead
  14. the VQ45 is not a common upgrade due to the low airspeed driveabilty problems (when used with big cams etc) there is not much benefit over a Z32. I have just asked japan to do an update file to include the Q45 so i will let you know what they say and whether or not they will slap one together for us.
  15. yeah that will work, i have done it a few times now and is basically the same as the operation i set about to post last week but i still havent had time I WILL TONIGHT the problem is the video files are actually *.exe files and this forum wont upload it niether will my work computer..... stoopid firewall.
  16. ^ exactly on the highway ie last trip from adelaide to melb the R32 GTR (350rwkw 700cc injectors tomei pump PFC) averaged 650kms.... around town expect 450-500 depending on right foot. Stay away from fuel pressure regs and spend the extra on a decent pump.
  17. nah you must leave it @ 12v 100%
  18. HAHA he picks and chooses components to make up a clutch...... hardly custom.... and why would you need to get a custom (ie genuine custom made) clutch? there is so much on offer which offers advanteges? it just doesnt make sense. Some people just get talked into such babble. i have seen these things and they are no better than anything else i have seen... worst of all the two ive driven were enough for me to stay well clear off. Granted some cases where a person wants a specific combo he can provide it but i gaurantee you could find an equiv which does the same job already off the shelf in any other major manufactures cat..
  19. ORC, OSGIKEN NISMO all day long over JB clutches. Better feel... better everything.
  20. yeah i gave up on turbos eons ago..... hiclone FTW!!!
  21. GREAT FOR POPPING RB'S......... seen 3 rb's now with cracked pistons from owners who abuse these things..... look at me my car sounds cool..... oops look at me its now fcked.
  22. i love the PFC as it is just so easy to fit and tune but if your stuck with a auto or a car the PFC is no longer made for then the EMU is the next best thing, the most popular cars for EMU seems to be GTiR and soarer/supras atm funnily enough.. i have done about 6 in the last 3 weeks. We had some issues with a R34 the other week but i never go to sort it out as the unit was removed before i could look at it but i did another last tueday with no issues so it seems to have been a vehivle specific issue not a EMU/R34 GTT issue.
  23. The a/f harness is best for datalogging and no real need for your tuner, as for the wait on the boost controller interface.... dont hold your breath something is coming but i cant get a date... not even an approximate
