  1. some cars do dont worry. some cars with differrent drivetrain components will knock to 15-25 on start up. ie changed a clutch and it starts picking up the plates on startup.
  2. this pretty much rules out the turbos, do you overfill? do you have a sump baffle?
  3. ^^^ its a bit long winded..... we spin our 350rwkw 26 to 8000 all day long at track days with only sump baffle and head oil restrictors.... most issues are build related like piston to bore clearance and bearing clearance etc....
  4. i bet whoever fit them used the sard o-rings instead of the factory o-rings..... same issue happens if you do the same with blitz injectors. If in doubt fit new o-rings.... probally 5 bucks at the most. remmber to visit your bedside table and vas them up before fitting too
  5. oh dear could be a few things but if your bovs are venting oil and your oil air separator is to atmosphere you have turbo issues. if it is recirc you have either oil surge of excessive blow by. the puff of smoke leads me to believe surge but without seeing the car in person it is a guess at best.
  6. If you like frigging around you can press out the ball joint and fit a s13 type bush, convert to a s13 c-shape rack end bracket and use a threaded tie rod end knuckle. I made a set up using R33 front tie rods for extra strength and used moon face spiro-bush inserts instead of the rubber bush. i will cobble together a rough pic in paint
  7. being cheap chinese wheel they would be comparable to most other things like bsa, lenso that you could lift up at your local mag joint.
  8. make sure the com port selected in the datalogit is the same as the com port listed for the usb to serial converter in device manager.

  10. or the box aint compatible with the pfc, i have the older style fc datalogit an d the new and trhe old one has two boxes to cover all the cars. box 1 does s13, s14, r32 and r33 box two does r34 supra soarer etc.... new version is black old version is white. and yeah check your com port setings for your usb driver.
  11. you will need the spacers, not sure if the bar will line up either.
  12. normaly the ORC's come with a GTi-R release bearing carrier, you would think NISMO would include it too if necessary? i will check with link and my catalogue tonight for you.

  15. STD are the best performers but are drug money to buy new, the split fires and superspark and JJR ones are great cheap replacements.

  19. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...2133&hl=Q45 The Nissan TPS uses two 3 wire connectors on it. One is on a short section of harness about 6 inches long and handles the actual throttle position signal and the other made to the body of the sensor is for the idle validation circuit which you also need or you get a code (51 I believe). With the sensor standing up, with the mounting tabs on the right side and the TPS wiring harness coming out of the bottom while your looking at it the top 2 pins in the connector made in the sensor body are your idle validation pins so disregard the bottom pin. Your TPS wiring harness that comes from the bottom of the sensor will terminate at a 3 prong plug and have red, white, and black wires in it. The wires colors correspond with these functions: Red is the 5 volt input wire White is the TPS signal wire Black is the sensor return wire With the connector lock up the white wire will be in the center, the red wire should be on the left, and the black wire should be on the right. When adjusting this sensor I found the best TPS voltage was around .385 on the sensor check but this car vary from car to car. i used this on the SUPRA we built for AutObarn.
  20. done two now with no dramas.
  21. yeah, look at JET200 (ignition DVD project car) it had a millenium motorsports custom plenum on it, replaced it with a GREDDY one and bang .... more power everywhere low, mid and top..... there is a lot more to plenums than just a pretty weld job....
  22. PFC boost control is average to say the least anyway, so your not missing out on much.
  23. ring your transport authority or download the regs.
  24. fit a lock bar, its easier i mix and match cradles all the time but have not tried that combo sorry. It should be fine though as i just finished fitting a R34 GTR cradle to our S13.
