  1. yeah they dont make one, i love the wheels on this car and th exhaust note.. i see it down at CREATD alot, sweet car and top bloke.
  2. haha the extra coin you shuold have spent on a decent upgrade....... jokes.
  3. How many ferraris have you driven..... the amount of times i got out with a sore back nearly outwieghs the panty wetting effects.. i bet the lexus will do everything better except have the badge prestige. i love my ferraris but i know plenty of owners who own a badge in the garage as they cant stand driving them much.... bastards wont let me drive em much either... something about seeing me drive
  4. BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHA wankers.... seriously the owner must be fully labotomised to have all 4 come off.... first rule always check thread...second rule always have enough thread third rule...do the f**kers up correctly......lucky rx7's aint worth much over there.
  5. Just took delivery of a 180 shell (new project.. not drift )... need heaps of gear pm me when your up and running.
  6. Well we have what i would consider the perfect 300+rwkw onevia... super responsive... loves to rev....makes a super lazy 312rwkw on literally std wastegate pressure... big dollar suspension.... but it still sucks to fang round a track compared to the built SR that proceeded it, dont get me wrong the power is nice but the package is not, it is handicapped by the weight over the front wheels. Remmeber this post is about whether a rb20 in a s series is a good idea... i cant think of one unless the car was CA18DE to start with. RB20 is good....rb20+s series chassis= poo...
  7. i have seen (turbo CRX) and heard quite a few good things about the adaptronic (as a budget alternative) too, i may try to get hold on one to have a play with. Let me know how you go.
  8. Well ARC have come to the party with a neat little tunning aid (or toy )called a Down Force meter, it is capable of measuring downforce in Newtons and can compare cornering g's (+ or -3g's) Test case S13 Silvia with a 3 step adjustable URAS wing (budget 3d style) 1550mm wide and 290mm high Above results are in newtons (example 120kmh step 3 (full deflection) saw 40n of downforce at 120km/h) I always wondered exactly much force one of these things actually makes at what i will call normal road speeds. We had some real word testing results at race pace but it is never easy to gauge results at a street level. So this information comes in kinda handy. During wet testing last year Cats gut feeling was that with the wing on full deflection she was experiencing more rear grip whilst entering (3rd and 4th gear corners) was indeed correct.... now we just need to measure it real time at a track and find the relationship between yaw angle and down force.
  9. Nice list i predict 247kw and boaty handling nah sawl good i just hate pedders springs and kyb's.
  10. haha i remmeber thinking i "must" have 350rwkw (FD3s) when i got it..... i wished i had what i had before i started.... 300.... too much power is more a pin in the ass than it is fun... shit is forever breaking.. power will always be pub talk and pub talk always raises the bar higher and higher back in my day my old v8 clunker with 280rwkw was a weapon now i do a quick edit on a stockie and pull this but 400rwkw.... f**k me where do you drive such an animal and what would you use it for?
  11. oil world or bursons
  12. yeah they are about the only decent factory position aftermarket manifold, i am still trying to find HPI's factory in taiwan, as i believe there is a good market here for some of thier stuff....
  13. STATUS

    New 350z?

    ist the new silvia....
  14. hehe dont believe me? walk into repco autobarn or supercheap and make a list of all the oils which say 100% synthetic.... you will be suprised you will find 3 or 4 the rest are marketing hype.... you are buying the name or slogan not the oil. MOBIL 1 MOTUL NULON (crap though) REDLINE Of course there are other boutique brands like AMSOIL etc but they are not available at most outlets.
  15. i have offered to pay up to 3k (split between 3 or 4 makes for more laps than you could possibly have tyres for) to hire out a track and they were not interested in the past even if the track was not booked on the day.... they still look at drifters as the devil hopefully with time things will change..... if not we will take a little trip overseas i must admit the new manager at calder may help our cause, looking forward to the changes.
  16. No they are great.... but not in a 180. Even the 26 in cats car is not worth the effort.... way to much weight over the front axle. I remmember James from d1 garages RB20 cefiro std engine HKs 2535 240rwkw all day evry day for 4 years till he sold it.... unbreakable.
  17. cause it would eat the average 23k skyline.... like my old 180.
  18. hhha i agree practice nights should be free for spectators.. even if we have to pay more. It will weed out the tools anyway. Paying spectators at calder expect to see drift and when they see us do only a few corners at a time or trying differrent approaches to dial things in they go away feeling jaded and it refelects badly on the drivers and the sport. practice days should be free. That said some of the DA teams have the family connections and coin to rent out the willing tracks for a few days before each event... peer and robbie are known for this. Well done to them, i just wish we had the coin and connections to do the same. hey guys send us an invite next time
  19. tracks other than queensland, oran and wakefield HATE drift and go out of their way to make it difficult to get track time.... try getting normal practice sessions at calder... i mean they offer other race teams days but soon as you mention drift "oh drift, nah sorry'
  20. yeah same deal with ARIAS, i use alot of ARIAS (great cheap piston) in jap engines and unless you tighten them up they rattle like all hell and you get excessive ventilation.
  21. yeah i learnt that with my FD rx7.... did a crazy build up 350-odd kw then realised i liked the 300 far better. for me the ultimate setup on a rb25 is evrything you already got plus one thing.... a TD06SH-25g kit. This kit has proved on std internals to run mid 10's on slicks (CREATD MSA manual r33) and mid 11's on street radials (andrew manual r33 from autobarn frankston... now wearing a T88 and transbrake tho ).
  22. I tend agree with the wiseco comment, we used a lot of wiseco pistons in race bikes (with no dramas) but i have heard from plenty of skyline guys (not from personal experience mind you) that the wisecos are not the greatest. comparing V8 supercars and top fuelers to your average rb is hardly a good comparison. Overall the most important factor with pistons is the machinst and the installer.... both of with determnine the sucess or failure of a build. I can recount 100's of stories of late of customers who have engines built that are so loose they trip the knock sensors..... these were built by so-called reputable shops.... the same guys who build top end v8 engines...
  23. yeah even a bit earlier.... these are equivalent to a HKS 2535
  24. or look down a plug hole.. interested if your in melb
