  1. i dont like cp rings, i would substitute them.... but like R31NISMOID said listen to your builder as there are some brands i just wont use and some require more work to get satisfactory results... oh yeah do not use thier recommended piston to bore.... way to big.
  2. leave it out... its the first compliance thing i remove on all my cars.... im lazy and hate having the unleaded restrictor in there especially when filling up at the airport
  3. what happened to the setup that was on it? all it needed was a TD06sh-25g and it would run high 10's or low 11's......
  4. Some castrol and Penrite facts; The name comes from Castor oil which is ok, they then turned their hand to esters.... and failed giving synthetics thier bad reputation early on in the piece.. they no longer use ester... it is left to oil professionals. did you know that castrol/Penrite Sin fully synthetics are actually only partial synthetics? the only full synthetics in australia have to say 100% synthetic on the bottle.... stoopid loop hole in consumer law. Also to achieve a wide spread of 10-60 (penrite too) you need to add alot of additives these additives are not lubricous therefore actually reduce and dilute the amount of lubricant in the oil....
  5. haha yeah i remmeber that bathurst where the sponsored Castrol car is pumping in tins of Motul 300V in the pits

  7. hmmm..... where do i start?
  8. i have been to the factory and it aint in the netherlands but yes the above applies.... capn rebrand, use a well known base to build from and modify (in some case colour only )accordinly. Bit like the URAS coil-overs.... they are poison dear 3k plus.... but each set is hand built and bench tested, they start from DG-5 cartridges, get new shafts, new valving, lightwieght swift springs (first spring choice of 80% of jap race teams) and a individual certificate of specs.... they will even build to order if you have the relevant specifications. 99.9% of the aussie market will never even consider a coil-over at this price..... even die hard guys stuggle to invest 1/3 of thier car in suspension.....
  9. australia does not have the track support to boost the profile sufficiently, drift australia does a great job and we will continue to support them.
  10. if your going remap speak to CREATD in campbelfield, nice new hands free dyno dynamics and a world of GTR experience. If you look in my signature you can see how clean their workshop is... the floor nearly blinds you....
  11. yeah true dat, Aragosta claim to be made in the netherlands.... but yeah me think its a bit like the made in japan stickers on a lot of gear Aragosta is good gear but not ohlins (yamaha) good....
  12. yeah thats why i said not exactly relevant.... i build a lot of engines and if you do it right they dont need much bedding in (1500 is way overkill), machine tolerances are 100 times better than what they were.... gone are the days where you have to wipe bearings to get em exact. Shit i get each bore finished to suit each piston and filter through a pile of bearings (maybe up to 4 boxes) to find as close to perfect as i can get.
  13. haha you have a keen eye, and hence my enthusiasm towards getting them here. some more pics of the aragosta's.... as for ohlins......
  14. 8 and 6 will be fine for street use provided the dampers are decent, i run the greddy coil overs in my cars and have the same rates in the S13 it is actually a very good rate damper combo.
  15. eeek dont bother.... stick with bilstein, greddy or tein. on another note we have just secured a deal for DRIFT performance products, their coil-overs will be made on the same line as TOP SECRET and TRIAL but branded DRIFT.... RRP 1700ish old pic below
  16. Everything regarding price is relative.... I value my time very highly and i charge accordingly... a few weeks wait to me is far to long to save a few $$$ they have never not had what i want either... the other week i bought a d-jetro (rb26) for my emanage ultimate vs PFC test (results soon... quite suprising) and no-one could get one to me faster. Online merchants like nengun quoted weeks maybe months. i needed a ap hand controller for a JZX90/Jzz30 chaser/Soarer PFC and they had one...... Price was irrelevant as no-one could get me one.... even my contacts in japan laughed at me. If you shop on price alone you will never be happy...
  17. Happens to about half the R33"s i tune.... a few tickles in the ign and inj maps will have it sorted. Nothing to worry about, your tuner should sort it in about 30secs.
  18. access have never let me down on PFC's and they are local..... i dont know why more people dont just go there.
  19. yeah but i dont want to cut pauls lunch. I do a similar thing for silvia dudes... resolder jumpers and shite so that all the models work...
  20. well it just took a nose dive..... run in wasnt the cause.
  21. HAHA bed the rings in (use str8 mineral oil) for a few hundred km's.... then bag the shit out of it. We drove cats car (9k SR20 build) to mt buller... dropped the oil then road tuned it fully (1.5bar) on the way back the next day, never missed a beat. Not exactly relevant but: Ever seen them break in a comp engine at the moto gp or F1? few small revs then 5mins of 2000-redline-2000-redline-2000-redline-and so and so on... crazy shit. Sounds nuts, i was nearly deafened
