  1. I agree it would want to be a "known" engine but really 600whp is a walk in the park especially for a few dyno runs....if it was my own personal car like it is with jez i would have no problem running it regulary at 400rwkw. We see this power quite often on std 26 engines on E85. I reckon in realistic power @ 35 odd psi 700whp is achievable with that setup but i would stay sub 30 on std bottom end.... i still find it difficult to believe that 760whp result with the 0.63 housing.
  2. It looks like it comes with a v band converter ring. Without seeing it in person it looks like the ring is held in place by hte normal 3 bolts / plates then allows the vclamp to attach the cartridge.
  3. ^^ very nice quality though... definatley lohomo.
  4. the engine will take allot of abuse with that turbo on e85.... just dont be scared. These turbos come alive at around 28-35psi.
  5. ^^ 4 plus years on e85 and we have seen no issues like you describe... yet we see drilled injectors fail all the time... on all fuels.. the common deniminator is the driling not the fuel.. the different fuel may be a minor contributor due to its differrent specific gravity but that same factor means any other race fuels will also kill your injectors...
  6. yeah with the 06ll2-20g on the rb25 the egt is getting too hot on 98 as the rear is really too small to for rb25 even with the 10cm. The e85 cheats and allows you to stretch it legs abit.
  7. Fit a 70hp NOS kit hide bottle in your sub box.. done.. we used to do heaps for the non turbo guys... super reliable decent power gain.
  8. Exactly, that combo of GTScoT is a real mismatch way too much exhaust pressure... high comp small rear always ends in ping city. What are your exhaust temps?Perfect E85 contender though for response / vs power..
  9. it will be real close we use them all the time on emanages etc... even tb45 6cyl are the same pinouts basically and we use gtr patch harness on them...
  10. they are damaging the injectors when drilling them out... plain and simple. we see high flow ones fall over all the time on any fuel. ID1000cc and rail locally is under 800. so why bother with importing?
  11. he is on drugs no r33 nistune. Guilt toy is a big fan of the sprint 500's, he uses quite a few nowadays he may be worth a PM. Im still a LINK fan ($1550 - 1650)

  13. I run my own cars at 12.5:1.. never had an issue..... especially as the boost is so low... could go easy 13 depending on engine
  14. i bought a few of the leak down testers off ebay and they all were faulty.... 3 in fact. It turns out they were calibrated for "small engines" and the seller in china just thought removing the sticker would make it suitable for your average motor car.. bought one locally from snap on and it works perfectly.
  15. HAHA busterd cars.... definitely know the feeling.I fitted pressure fittings into the exh manifold yesterday so i hope to gain a few insights into whats going on with inlet/exh pressure ratio.
  16. That is a combo i have thought about allot lately
  17. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/uploads/monthly_01_2011/post-9237-12954259068471_thumb.jpg ^^ this design.
  18. The trust design seems to work better than the 6BOOST design anyway on rb. Try BRAE fabrication they do some nice work.
  19. Did it take the extra timing but make no extra power? it will tell you a fair bit. What where the exhaust temps doing too?
  20. More comp and bigger housing... do it. We did a SR autech NA engine plus t67 10cm... was fantastic. Beams engine from altezza (11.5:1) plus turbo also a massive winner.
  21. 6% extra on the factory flex VE v8's
  22. I have a gt2535 on my 20 and it hits a huge wall at the same rpm as yours and Kriss (and all rb20's). i have also had another with a gt3076 and step 2 cams fall off at the same point... working on a few things to test once we get the upgraded hardware for the dyno in a fortnight. Cams are not the easy answer unfortunately. Tried every combo of cam timing on both setups too with no love.. Its also interesting to note the drop off is less obvious on roller dynos as wheel and roller inertia flatten it out a bit. One of my customers did not believe that the drop off wasnt tune related so i asked him take it elsewhere to get it checked... he did on a mainline it looked kinda normal but once i ran it back on mine it was the same as before.. the drop off seems to be at the same point but at different power levels... the 3076 made killer power but the drop off is more pronounced.
  23. must have been a massive doh moment.... by the sounds of it..
  24. Not to be rude but um... you just said said your GF has customers with big heads that hurt on the way in....
  25. ive been real happy with my gt2535 makes 245 @ 17psi on e85 will make probably 20rwkw more once coil-packs are replaced....
