  1. nissan. but seriously i bought a new supra 6 speed from toyota japan for our supra and it was very reasonable. through Nissan here i predict drug money for a 33 box.... i just bought a 20k old R34 box for our 26'd s13 $1500. why new?
  2. They are great we ran one in a drift car all last year with 280-odd rear wheel kilowatts and a good friend also a drifter ran one in his 30-26 with mid-high 300rwkws all with no dramas, they are virtually maintenance free if you opt for the billet selectors. the std selectors are weak and can cause issues down the track. this skyline was even liveable as a daily. PAR dog boxes on the other hand are unreliable and i see more on workshop floors that in cars... poor truscott had his in for one event and it detonated and the boys from hyperdrive in WA have had theirs out more than its been in...
  3. ^^6 so true best instant way it to check (among others) gear boot and hand brake boot. see below
  4. true we personally import our 1994 32 GTR from an enthusiast who hardly drove it full history 35k on the clock but we paid a price for it too....
  5. i know of a warehouse that supplies quite a few importers and they dash swap/mods all day long, never trust a import dash 90% are "clocked" if it dont have a service history consider it "clocked" electronic dash's included... nearly all soarers i saw whislt over there were getting clocked by as much as 100k.
  6. Has anyone had issues with the DBA 4000 rotors? i seem to hear of lots of issues from stores with hot spots and shuddering.
  7. haha yeah for sure i love that kit. the old TRUST SR20 i built for it is now resting in my kitchen , gonna give it a freshen. Not sure whether to sell or keep for a rainy day same with the $9k PPG box attached to it. SR stuff always comes in handy.
  8. uras 17" will also fit the G4/ K-sport/ D2 brakes from memory. 17x 9.5 +15 offset we have a set on a 10 sec r33 GTR here with 355mm AP's and there is about 4mm to spare.
  9. if you get stuck (or use the car for motorkhana or drift) i keep all the D1GP (URAS) rear drum shoes in stock. We supply a few targa and classic cars (R34's) with them.
  10. What about a R33 complete rear cut? BBQ front ice box boot? we did a similar thing to an impala years back..... just used the drawbar off a 6x4 and its rego
  11. Greddy TYPE S is an obvious omision from that list. Engineered and developed for street and track by Takeshi Tsuchiya GT500 and GT300 fame. ER34 run 8kg front 6kg rear $1999 retail (aimed as a competitor for TEIN RA (one step above FLEX) for specs) monotube 46mm pistons variable rate springs etc etc http://www.trust-power.com/06sus_spring/pe...nce_dumper.html
  12. Needs the T517Z's on my desk fitted then we will be happy..... the Std RB26 is no match for the old worked SR20 that was in it..... we thought we would get away with it in WA (as turbo's were still in transit) but we struggled majorly for power (4th gear track) Mallala should show its full potential.
  13. usually lower control arm bushes or hicas tie rod end play.
  14. sweet brakes, i just dont like the tacky logos on them. Nothing a quick anodize cant fix:)
  15. Nathan weisel has one in his 26 powered 32 gtst, seems to be nice and responsive. i will be running either K5-660R or twin T517Z's..... cant make up my mind.... both sitting here waiting on my decision.
  16. cheers, link to new pics www.uras.com.au/democar.htm
  17. yeah.... the supra got done last week needs to be returned to stock.... never gonna happen as its a demo car, lucky it was inside, or else i probaly would have got fined for driving a unreg defected car off the trailer lol another $500 fine would make me even unhappier.
  18. i see your after front gaurds. i have these gaurds if you get stuck.
  19. This is The soarer kit but both include the same things, slighly differrent shape of course lol. Killer kit.
  20. ^^ off topic but that is the first time i have seen cooler piping done that way.
  21. haha ok, MR DRIFT DRIVER TRAINER......pffft.
  22. no, trial built RB25, RB25 box with os giken internals. PFC is AP engineering and runs "psuedo" d-jetro. i think typo on box.
  23. cheers, putting GTR owners down would be stupid as i used to have a T517Z'd 1994 R32 parked in the garage, now in the old mans. Fantastic car but lets be honest i dare use the word again "MOST" GTR's i see at these track days would find a modded late model EVO tuff to compete with can someone give me the quickest times at recent track days?
  24. i dont have any, nor do i need any all my laps in it lately have been sideways. I stand by my statement it will still maul "most" GTR's round a track. For sure one with more mods will but from most of the cars ive seen at these days sport RE555's and bolt-ons.... ooh and big ego's. The crew i see associated to racepace (hardcore respect for) would have to be the most hardcore, and for sure i have no doubt they would give it a lashing but they are not "most" they are "few". what is your issue R31NISMOID what do you drive?
  25. yeah for that money you could get a set of the greddy dampers ($1999) which are better than both k-sport and tein (at that price range) the greddy's are a monotube 46mm piston item with realistic rates and plenty of track testing and development. they are a great comprimise between road and track. Takeshi Tshuchiya of GT500 fame was one of the developers. http://www.trust-power.com/06sus_spring/pe...nce_dumper.html
