  1. still cant belive your going to spend all that money on fitting solids when an hour and a halfs work would have it fixed..... crazy.
  2. sif you didnt get it tuned properly... lucky it didn't pop.... no two cars even with the same setup are 100% with another tune..
  3. if the are 1bar you should be able to tension them up to 15-16psi @ least just make sure its the right one, very common mistake.
  4. That could be noise (wiring issue) as your map signal is also pretty average around the same spot or its just picking up the duty (map pulse) on the boost controller..
  5. are you sure? check your hand controller "live" timing screen then adjust CAS so it reads the same on the balancer. i often change the base timing as do other tuners. NEVER ASSUME IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE 20 DEGREES If you have nistune etc then use consult to hold a particular timing whilst setting.
  6. did you pre-load the new ones correctly? i like to use about 10mm preload. another thing to check is the cooler pipe under passenger front wheel well (common leak spot) And finally the bov pressure line often gets swapped with another close one and the BOV leaks under boost. (seen this about 5-6 times)
  7. put it back on the shelf.... doesn't do much, been covered heaps of times. I pulled the return off ours and ran it into a coke bottle and.... well nothing happened.
  8. haha i must admit there was a definite push towards jz's for awhile there after that article... i put them on par with each other.
  9. OK, no stress, was just making sure i hadnt overlooked something. We actually tunnel bore all our engines so just wanted to know your experiences... bad or good.
  10. What issues have you come across with tunnel bored rb's?
  11. if you get stuck i have the rb20 xmember and brackets used on our s13 with rb26.
  12. How long till you can pay the lot? just that i have a few guys looking at it this weekend.
  13. thats a warranty cop out (all manufacturers have the same clause), i worked for nissan and depending on the attitude of the customer and its previous use we made report, then a decision was made to replace or build engine. We actually replaced a few blown nizpro engines under warranty for the special edition 200sx-R's they built 10--odd years back.
  14. HAHA its coming together hey? good to see! keep us updated If you do decide on the PFC d-jet we have i will leave the tune in it to give you a starting point.
  15. TRy some known coil packs ive had some issues with all the cheapies, and if you want email me the tune file and i will check out the AFM scale.
  16. i like the haltech more than the SM4 but thats only my opinion, with the sm4 i recommended getting a A/M trigger setup.
  17. Horses for courses i like both ecu's, TBH if i had to choose between those two it would be whatever suited my hip pocket.. as end results would be the same. Just finished tuning a haltech plat pro on a 3L which made 520rwkw on a std bottom end so it too is very capable.
  18. IM in vic where are you? i have a d-jetro 4sale atm if your trust worthy i may lend it for a day or so.
  19. I have had a few questions regarding running it on a RB20 and RB25, the Re-pinning needs to be done on the engine loom (male ecu plug), i cannot do it on the ecu without soldering to the board etc which i prefer not to do as its hard to reverse neatly.
  20. the pin swaps need to be made on the car loom. its nothing i can without the car.

  21. they are a dog turbo and really inefficient, need at least 18-20psi to do anything special even then they are still laggy. I will look up the dyno graphs i have of them at work. It is the garret equiv of a hks GT2540 but without the nice hks rear (which is still crap when compared to later offerings)
  22. Located Victoria $1250 or if you prefer safety of paypal http://cgi.ebay.com.au/POWERFC-D-JETRO-R33-R32-GTR-RB26-PFC-ECU-POWER-FC-APEXI-/270700508449?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f0701f521
  23. got a str8 registered shell you could put it all in? $200 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/S13-SILVIA-180sx-sr20-rb26-Drift-Australia-race-car-/270700370715?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item3f06ffdb1b
  24. Hi this is a complete POWERFC D-Jetro kit for r33 and r32 GTR skyline (414BN026 Kit) it can be used on R34 GTR, R32 GTST (rb20) and R33 (rb25) with pin swaps. This ecu will handle any mods you are likely to encounter, we have used these on std GTR's all the way up to 1000hp cars. This particular unit has done less than 5000kms and is off our workshop race car. The car has been split up to make way for another project which is not a RB engine so it is surplus to our needs. It comes with both map sensors and harnesses, if you are going to use it on a RB20 or RB25 let me know and i will include a RB26 Air Intake Sensor too. Being a tuner i can objectively say the POWERFC djetro is probably the best ecu you can buy for your GTR regardless of cost... hence why we used it in our own car. CAN LOAD IT WITH A BASE MAP FOR THE WINNER TO DRIVE TO YOUR LOCAL TUNER FOR IF YOU SEND ME YOUR MODS (injector CC and turbos etc)
