  1. Only the pfc is left.

  2. haha those gas love that 11.5AFR dont they.... shit it was more like 16 to 1.... was lucky we checked their work.
  3. i just throw the sandwich plates away and use a decent earls one with tapered thread AN fitting..... no leaks, no friggin around with thread tape which can fray and dislodge... ultimately block an oil gallery.
  4. Injectors are 800cc... bonus customer received them today.
  5. to lose 1-1.5l per 2500km it should be soaked.
  6. bahahaha yeah google that business for a good old read....
  7. yours falls under the bigger category... i get asked about porting and polishing on std rebuilds and 250-odd rwkw setups... WOC.
  8. are these high or low impedance? customer has bought them and i need to find out prior to them being dropped off... i assume they are seimens (vdo) as SARD dont make a 750cc. http://www.sard.co.jp/after_eng/products/engine/injector/injector_hanyou.html
  9. why bother run another 2pounds.... i have had lots of 3000 dollar head build and port jobs on the dyno and at the end of the day they make no more power than many of the std ones.... for most setups we see throught the door port and polish is a waste of cash and time. If it is a bigger setup then gains may well be worth it.
  10. 2mins max, on big setups maybe 5mins as i prefer to get to a better spot on the block instead of the head.
  11. Some PFC's have this issue we come across it every so often, its generally a knock sensor issue or a loom issue... One of the reasons we like to use secondary knock detection when tuning.
  12. pull spark plugs and wind it over.
  13. Hey Snozzle check your gasket between the head and manifold adapter seems as your so close... looking at the tb gaskets id say its also compromised.
  14. leak down test... but if your using oil and the oil breathers are fuming... its not a good sign.
  15. water or fuel in pots.
  16. engine has an issue, should be no breathing at all.
  17. could the trend be the ecu thats being used? Most of the trigger issues are with particular ecu's not liking the nissan pattern. Maybe post the ecu's (and engine combo) that are having the issues? I can say its not inherent in nissan CAS's especially in these cars which are being mentioned.
  18. the Nissan CAS do weird things when on the fritz i've had a similar issue to your NZ mate but it had nothing to do cam belt stretch.... as for your actual issue i could not say.
  19. wow your tb gaskets were leaking like sieves.... to get the rest off from where you are now is only 5mins...
  20. yeah we just finished a car tonight which had a std 1.5jz (Knockbox)knock sensor on head set to super sensitive) in it and we were running 27psi through it... really want decent knock detection..... end result 520.7rwkw and smiles all round. Feel free to drop past with the kmon ill run it up on my laptop to check it.
  21. microtech is the easiest and quickest cause its as simple as a calculator BUT MY SUGGESTION is ---> Powerfc as its the safest to self tune as you have the safety net of the knock monitor system so you can learn the ins and outs of timing. ecu's like vipec microtec haltech etc require you to know what an engine can safely take and to tune it properly you should use some kind of listening device.
  22. That why i recommended running a different brand in it just for a test. We have ahd a bit of dodgy fuel lately with all the rain, some places worse than others.
  23. try bp or mobil, before panicking. The shell near us seems to have similar results.
