  1. dont go the Td-06sh 25g the extra power is not worth the lag diff.
  2. nistune is in SA you could get Pete to do it?
  3. Forget the suggestions it was not enough oil on startup etc... WD40 or even a wipe with auto fluid on a rag is enough. It would be interesting to see the rings (side, back and end gap), it even looks kinda looks dusted so put a eye piece on the rings. Explains your catch can, restrictors are not the answer here. Its gotta be pulled and rebuilt so measure the skirts and bore and see where thats at also, may explain your scoring if the rings dont.. When it was first assembled what was the: Ring end gap Ring side gap Ring back gap Piston to bore clearance
  4. we were comparing different cars so the folder thats opened last will be shown.
  5. we usually make over 290-300 on std bov no issues, so they generally are very good. Drive ability and return to idle on the R34 is far superior with it too. The r34 graphs posted above @ 290rwkw are all with std BOV and piping. I advised jeff to bring in a block in plate next time after he had checked all his cooler pipe joiners just in case his was faulty bt they generally are not an issue.
  6. The innovate gear is notoriously buggy and failure prone. I have a cupboard full of failed LC-1's. Try tech edge or PLX.
  7. flow your head and cam it to suit the flow split, simple solution.
  8. its probably humming like the blue gates belts..... they figure it is the bearings damaged from accident? not familiar with noisy RB cambelts (overtight).
  9. doing it now, you have a good eye the comparo is very close, i forgot about abes car... as its a R33 not a R34
  10. Here are the graphs i get asked for: GT3071 bolt on kit vs Hyper gear high flow. This is Harey's result in a R34 vs a R34 with same mods but a GT3071 bolt on kit from GCG. As you can see there are differences in performance and price so pick the one that suits your budget or needs. I also posted the results from Tao's runs @ 21psi against it, the GT3071 could not crack 300rwkw but was more responsive. The GT3071 results are typical and i have not seen one be more responsive unless a unrealistic ramp is used. ALSO IMPORTANT NOTE IS THAT ALL RB25 TURBO's around this size roll off hard near 7000rpm (i thought it was the dyno @ first but i did runs to 7800 and it still rolls off) i sent the car round the corner (dyno dynamics, brand new) and the roll off was not as violent but was still shown as a flatten then slow decline .. obviously the inertia of the rollers is dampening the roll-off effect.
  11. yeah and soarer, i actually thought they were stock jzz30 for a minute until i saw the part number on the box.
  12. My favorite workshop in japan, shop downstairs and on the upstairs level is a cool shot bar which over looks the lower level... and a no f**king sign on the toilet door
  13. Ahh that makes the difference. P16 is your real boost threshold then.
  14. does it feel steppy between P16 and P17 (N07 and N08) drops 20degrees in one cell. Pretty aggressive timing map.
  15. maybe they can blow up the local top gear production house as part of the show and save us from its lameness.
  16. ^^^^ sell it and fit a NISTUNE, we do that with all the R34 Autos now.... much better results with the Nistune.
  17. yeah i sniped it @ 3960 about 5 days back but when it went to snipe with 5 secs to go it was too low and lost. I had an initial bid of 2500 which cleared the reserve. I was not willing to pay over 3960, so good luck to the high bidder hopefully it is as good as the description.
  18. All those Chinese ones give issues (had issues with all of them), splitfires or nothing
  19. he said he has seen... no where does it say "i have". i will have a look for you tonight.
  20. This is the only one i have handy (ie on this comp), full owner built car him and his old man did a great job, went on the dyno with no issues (other than bit of boost creep from the 6 boost mani) The power graph is not really a good example as the boost curve starts at 14psi and tapers up to the 19psi point, not enough gate pressure but until the owner gets used to it we wont dial it up (the blitz gate and blitz i-color will dial it out a piece of piss). If it was making the full 19psi by 3600-3800 like the normally do the they make around 220rwkw @ 4k and 270-280rwkw @ 5k etc... with the ramp rate i use, maybe more responsive on a roller.
  21. pot a pick of the coil pack cover and coil pack harness plug.
  22. ignore all this.... for starters only an insane person would swap out a haltech for a wolf.... in fact i would rather gargle glass.
  23. check the boost sensor at the back of the coil pack cover. If its unpluged or the vac line is missing it will pfreak out.
