  1. weeds out the time wasters and gives you an idea of whether or not its in a realistic price range (i always bid up to the reserve to see what it is, and it ticked over once i bid 2500), its auction sniper time now.
  2. yeah you will need to sleeve the bottom part or go a new intake pipe. They generally dont suck the bottom part shut but yours is making a meal of it...
  3. 123_bit_and_pieces
  4. 60 psi base presure? is it tuned for that? drop it to 40 psi if not. Rest is hard to diagnose without the car.
  5. 3/4 thread.
  6. It will be interesting to see how it goes with your nistune cable, i have one of yours and it is perfect everytime on every car. The only time ive ever had issues is with a 3rd party cable when out helping mates with home tunes etc... i would bet it is the "other" cable causing issues.
  7. i tried a 6cm on a sr and it was a disaster so you did good its was a 45 degree power line... not a curve.
  8. td06l2-20g 6cm x 2 seen 600rwkw on my dyno.
  9. 210 coupe: Efi + ITB's, head shave and cam (subtle exhaust so i can bath in induction noise). fender flares, duck tail and chin spoiler (not so reversible). Rims which i cant locate atm
  10. cas pinout is different on R34 to R32, did you repin it?
  11. is your gate one of the new generation 45mm? they seem to punch above their weight flow wise... its the smaller tial ones we had issues with, swapped it to a 50mm and issue solved.
  12. if you can go the bigger gate, we've had issues with boost creep and the 6 boost manifolds. If possible get an ungated 6boost version and run the gate off the housing.
  13. Twin l2's
  14. Ignore the pull down in the final 200 rpm, i use a 6900 rpm pull and the final roll off is just exacerbated by the dyno pulling the revs to a standstill @ 6900rpm. These graphs are just a snapshot of a few hours of dyno tuning i do a few runs going to 7250 or 7500 depending on the car and setup and in the case the car was slowly nosing over after 6800 (like most turbos in this size) so there is no point revving the bejeseus out of a car endlessly whilst tuning (and to keep well clear of the limiter)... so i clip it 100 rpm after the roll off. I will make sure the graphs in the future continue to within 50rpm of the limiter. Im not buying into any arguments here as our dyno is only used to test each of the hypergear turbos (we dont align ourselves with any brands), but if your worried about the sudden drop off dont be its no worse than any other similar sized offering from other companies.. what is true is they prefer higher boost levels 22psi is the sweet spot for peak power, i like to run them around 18-19psi on customers cars which will see about 15+rwkw less than their peak, i find it keeps the intake charge more stable. From what ive seen they are hard to beat $$ per HP.
  15. power extreme II from GCG is a good start on the exhaust, nice note without being loud. Decent return Floe inter-cooler is a must too as the std one is shouse. Body kit well... there is about 11billion variations. post a pic of what you want and i can give you details of people in the business (we used to supply alot of kits to distributors). Rims... well again it comes down to taste, some nice offset rims in 18" look the best, s15 are a bit lacking in room in the rear but a 9.5" will fit in a decent offset and 9" on the front no worries.
  16. Seen a few Td05 kits, very similar to -5 and 10cm T517z's. Or twin L2-20gs on rb30 and 2jz, easy 800hp.
  17. hoping to heavily molest a 1 owner 210 in coming weeks.
  18. ah, a few friends of mine live in Mt ISA and said there are allot of puppets up there (townsville etc) if it aint what they sell then they dont want to know.... if it blows they always blame the ecu. Not sure if its the same in your case without knowing the shop. Link is a great ecu but a good tuner should be able to tune anything.
  19. sawl bad unfortunately
  20. where are you? what are your mods?
  21. Best bet is to go to your local nistune guy and suck the timing and fuelling settings out to analyse it, i have had some come in that are PERFECT ie i have charged for a dyno run only as they were so good it was a rort to charge for a tune. Other times they are rich and advanced too much. PS its not tunable, once off unfortunately.
  22. T04z needs the revs.
  23. it will be the operating system, or a compat issue with the cable. The nistune cable works fine on XP and VISTA but iver heard of issues with other cables and Vista. I run XP as it allows more access to DOS fo all my Motec stuff, the upside of XP is it is far more stable for ALL tuning suites, i used to run vista and have phantom issues now on XP i have NO ISSUES at all. Find out what OS the tuner is using.
  24. Brake clearance should be no problem with the different hi and lo disc spoke options.
