  1. Nice, i have a customer chasing one. Have you still got the rear spoiler? looks weird without it
  2. @ 270 we could do run after run without issue @ 290+ it was starting to heat up and required constant timing chances to keep it happy. do 2 or 3 runs and the timing would fall back to where it was @ 270... then it would do run after run @ that timing all day long with around 3 degrees headroom
  3. Ask Tao to post up a ramp rate comparison, ive had a few cars come in lately that are being tuned on unrealistic ramp rates, this ramp rate moves the curve around alot. the above graph will make 18o-200rwkw @ 4000 by runnning a pretty popular Dyno Dynamics ramp rate.... makes for a nice graph but unrealistic.
  4. yeah thats what we are doing (source of fuel is the same) until we can get a 100% fix on ethanol content.
  5. same thing so hardly.
  6. i would be checking the crank collar. Check the gear on the collar for free play.
  7. we used to do all of them by dropping it down, far easier and quicker. Think i have some pics somewhere. Becomes a 2hr operation instead of a 3-4hr head fck.
  8. interesting, we just did some testing on a S14. i will list the below in afr even though we use lambda bp98 230rwkw on 16psi @ 11.8afr E85 252rwkw on 16psi @ 12.4afr E85 244rwkw on 16psi @ 12.1 afr E85 239.9rwkw on 16psi @ 11.8afr no timing changes.
  9. True, 12+ is fine. i tune in lambda though so 0.84 on E85. We have found atm that pump e85 is a little more like e75 so we fatten it up abit we are seeing a 0.5-0.7 jump in afr or 0.05 lambda towards LEAN when refilling with e85 so be aware.

  13. std rb30 na bottom end, 26 head and t04z. about to kill it with a std 1.5jz thats in the shop atm, we matched the output of 469 last thursday... shooting for 500 by the end of the week. btw both on e85.
  14. 469rwkw on a 3l slapper is the current record in my shop, nothing like a time bomb Slappers FTW if their mates cars who can deal with the consequences if it lets go... a no no for customers
  15. whats the idle af?
  16. sounds like its dropped a cylinder
  17. sounds like its dropped a cylinder
  18. all the diagrams needed are on the microtech website, we get guys ringing 10000 times a week with similar issues and it is always wiring related, so unfortunately we just refer them straight to a dealer of whichever product it is. I dont take on half wired jobs as it often takes longer to fix than a new install... jump on the microtech website and check you cas wiring to their diagrams http://www.microtechefi.com/pdf/LT12NISSAN6CYLign.pdf
  19. i to want to test the gearset this is paramount. i have a customer bringing in one for me to look at. I have a Greddy one here we can compare it too.
  20. nah, think 1st gear vs 4th gear... 4th gear more load = quicker spool.
  21. Ramp rate is also something to look @ i had a GTR in here with a dyno graph from a well known shop and it was only possible to replicate it with an artificially high ramp rate (brings it on alot sooner). Unfortunately ramp rate is used alot to skew results. Not saying that this is the case here but it brings up the old adage that the only good comparison can be done on the same dyno.
  22. pop can be lean so take it easy
