  1. you could get one done here and shipped ready to drop in for your budget. Could you ship a core engine across? that would save about 2k so even if you factor 1k to get it here you still come out 1k in front.
  2. got selby swaybars (signature sway bars) on the case, no -one stocks em anymore but they have the pattern. i used R32 x member, r32 engine brackets (shortened) with N1 gtr mounts (ours is as low as possible sump 3mm from xmember, any closer and it rubbed) Rx7 mounts for fd are pretty common too. similar to simons solution above. i have a few sets of noltec rx7's ones somewhere i will measure up.
  3. use a clean vacuum bag, check it after vaccing down cyl.
  4. vaccum line gaffa taped into the end of your mums vacuum stick vac line into plug hole works a treat.
  5. hmm i will listen to message when i get to work in the morn and check all the threads for things that have been covered. (was offsite all day today, out west actually) being a 26 head it should be fairly straight forward. Just quickly whats the exhaust cam wheel set too?
  6. yes i am a tool... thanks for clearing that up.
  7. Yeah the powerfC has some pretty weird idiosyncrasy, ive had about 5 cases of plug in hand controller when running and car stalls, wont start and tunes are corrupt... reload tune and do it 5 mins later and its all good. loading in base maps and the numbers being show are correct but car wont tune up right...... 3 or 4 pfc's. Have to open 2 sessions and cut and paste each map and write individually. i was off site today so havent had achance to study the ecu pinout to trace the ac circuit yet sorry.
  8. Looks Good, ignore the R33 knockers... the 33 can be setup to compete with any s -series chassis.
  9. what power are you making? standard r34 head is pretty damn good for 360 + rwkw, 1-2 psi gain will generally give better power results than a full port and polish....
  10. Tuning time is the same, for both PFC or nistune, both cars should be indistinguishable from each other drive wise, for track cars i would go pfc d-jetro on a street car i would recommend either PFC (normal) or nistune, nistune is great for passing epa (with all mods) and so far 400kw is about as far as ive pushed a GTR with nistune.. Atm there are some missing addresses in the nistune (all remap software actually) for GTR which are required to allow more control of IGN and INJ vs AIT compensation, once these addresses are found by Nistune or JWT etc i will use them in more hard tuned track style cars. Based on the support we get from nistune i dont think it will take too long for the addresses to be found. BTW im a nistune and PFC fanboy so if you go Nistune speak to your tuner and make sure the addresses for your particular requirements are accessible. Like any ecu, correct application is more important than brand.
  11. why is the iac mount missing? is it an old version? the ones on the website are like the one i had in the shop, had a bolt on position for the stock IAC.
  12. tiptronic is just an electronic gimmic, all it is is a manual shifter setup and a set of steering wheel controls. Tiptronic has nothing to do with the auto performance it is just a method for changing gears.. in fact you can fit "tiptronic" to any auto gearbox that has electronic solenoids to control gear changes. A shift kit is an internal mechanical modification which shortens gear changes and increases shift pressures so it can handle more power and stop the terrible flaring r34 auto's have std.
  13. look for a boost leak, id say a vac line is off. If in doubt take it back to your tuner. Cars dont go out of tune, unless something changes.
  14. i had a plazaman setup in the other day on a R33 and it had the factory setup on there and it worked like factory.
  15. factory reg will have no issues at that power level. The dampers sometimes cause issues over 350rwkw on the R34 though.
  16. Have a customer with the same kit, we sent the auto across to MV and had auto built and shift kit. Best mod for a R34 GTT auto fullstop. nice shifts in normal mode but quick wheel spinning shifts into gear @ full noise.
  17. Have a customer with the same kit, we sent the auto across to MV and had auto built and shift kit. Best mod for a R34 GTT auto fullstop.
  18. are you making over 350rwkw? then std is fine.
  19. yeah map sensors dont actually get effected by minor airflow pulses etc so generally dont try compensate... hence rock solid idle. You can even drill a small hole in the butterfly to help stabilise the idle. but like previously mentioned its not all that nice for everyday streeters that need pwr steer, a/c etc load compensation.
  20. reliable co pilot download? most ive tried have been buggy downloads.
  21. i will have quick look over a r33 ecu pinout on monday for you, see what could be setting it off. ps just got your pm
  22. rubbish the core is irrelevant, the trims and housing are the important part. The turbo in the op post is old tech trim and housing wise... slapping in a bb core wont help it 1 iota, so like i said the core is irrelevant. Plenty of bush bearing turbo's offer awesome response.
  23. cut off her arms and throw them in the river.
  24. should be no "real" difference, but ultimately there will be a smidge unless you swap each timing mark across and load point exactly (same with fuelling). We have done a few swaps between the two as well and to TBH its around 50 / 50 and always within a smidge of each other. bout the only ecu i find has bigger variances is the Microtech due to the way it manages timing in the software.
