  1. turbosmart bleeder, a turbotech one would fix it and hold boost better.
  2. Hey glad your enjoying it, the ecu is effectively a stand alone too, lots more sophisticated than a piggy back you should not outgrow it for a long time. In regards to illegal im not sure what you were told regrding the nistune but unfortunately all mods are illegal but we can slip through with the nistune as ive yet to have one fail epa testing and it comes up std when tested via consult. in fact we just sent a 380awkw GTR through epa testing and it passed with flying colours, i have just under gone a 2500 dollar upgrade to the lastest motec AFR setup and will soon be doing a 5 gas upgrade aswell so hopefully we will do alot more EPA aproved tuning for variuos manufacturers and customers who are willing to pay the testing costs @ epa. (excuse spelling and grammar just got all my wisdom teeth pullled and im still half cut on drugs)
  3. was it tuned and installed by a apexi factory approved dealer? then no warranty. ps there are no factory approved tuner dealers in aus
  4. theres no reason it wouldnt work our sv6 we had for 6 months had liquid injection on it and made about the same as a std gtr at the wheels, i just think the technology for decent power LGI (250 up) is just not reliable enough or cost effective, give it another year or so. Mixer type is a no brainer but subject to different power levels with the climate.
  5. dont think they are legal here, i maybe wrong though. Our tow car has 200 litres of usable gas makes 180rwkw so im not against gas just its use in a skyline
  6. power has never been a problem, its mixture stability thats the main issue and those new "fandangled" liquid injection systems you talk of are still having injector freezing issues at high hp. attached is the 700hp engine i was talking about aerlier on the engine dyno, running a aeromotive 1000 pump and in tank and regulator, ecu compensation for pressure is clearly seen on the fuel rails.
  7. Propane (the better gear) only yields about 86% of energy per volume of petrol but is partially compensated by the higher stoich of 15.6:1.... so it always yields lower results... ie a step backwards. Tank pressure is the biggest issue, much like nitrous a lpg tank needs to be stabilised temp wise to deliver consistent pressure otherwise your mixtures change with the seasons or days etc... simply dangerous for high output engines. Much has been done lately to alleviate these issues including running fuel pumps inside the LPG tank and a pressure regulator. Currently around 700hp is the sensible limit of these kind of liquid injection systems Normally Aspirated
  8. my gripe is the quality of the work being done....
  9. you can get the equivalent gear from camtech here in aus for the same money.
  10. better off @ the horses mouth, a good friend works as an auction agent and is forever sending through tempting 34's and 35's.... they have around 100 auctions to trawl each week its amazing. missed out on a grade 5 black r35 that went for 5,969,380 plus 7% agents fee, cry most nights over it
  11. wouldnt it be nice if we could just pay for the compliance then not let them fck up perfectley good cars with cheap shit cats, seat belts and generally poor workmanship.... thats my experience with alot of complianced cars that come through.
  12. DE and DET pumps are the same, tomei and jun dont make sr oil pumps, the only way to upgrade is use a s15 or GTir item but SR's dont suffer oil pump issues like RB's. I have NEVER had an oil pump fail and the only car ive seen one fail was running a GFB solid crank pulley. those gfb pulleys kill oil pumps. even our big dollar SR builds run s15 pumps no more ($90 from nissan for the rotor set). The GTiR pump mod is a waste of time and uneeded, the SR's weakness is RPM due to the rocker and lifter design not oil pressure etc.. the revs dropped from 7600 in s13 to 7200 in s14 for this very reason. Upgrade the rockers and run solid lifters (with correctly ramping cams) and 9000rpm is achievable.
  13. these guys should be able to source them B N B Engine Services 155 Westall Road, Clayton South, VIC 3169 p: (03) 95479674, (03) 95482316 f: 95471608
  14. there is no oil outlet for the turbo and no oil squirters in the block. Thats the only difference. I would not waste a 2.2 kit on a de block as det blocks are cheap like 100 odd dollars (way cheaper than modding the de block)
  15. call the cops.... repeatedly... they wont like the heat and move on, as cops are bad for business.

    Tolunene

Just about any good paint shop sells it cheap. Shit this old trick has been round since the ark. we used to add a bit of acetone too
  17. leave the stock manifolds one and make sure to use all the std heat shielding.
  18. a few of those things dont fit at all (especially r34) so just be wary. The factory one is fine with a insert.
  19. Splitfires only.
  20. i think you will find the exclusivity clause on the some of above products from the ROC factory that was producing the kits for the original company is now over, i can tell you now the kits i was going to bring in come from the same factory as a huge US based stroker company just unbranded. Many factories wil subsidise the developement stage by offering a set exclusivity period after which the product become free to market just without the branding. Another scenario is qty, if the company fails to move sufficient quantity or a pre agreed qty then they are able to sell to anyone. If you paid the full tooling and development cost then yes it is wholly and solely exclusive. As for your product it would be plain stupid not to produce it overseas for a fraction of the cost... higher margin for you, lower cost to consumer but more importantly it gives you room to keep the sell price relevant after the product plateaus. If your worried about quality then its moot as the factories i have seen have newer equipment and harder working staff than most local outfits.... sad truth. Again this isnt aimed @ Spool or Rips as i dont know either of them its just my personal experience in these kind of matters.
  21. i don't want this to come across rude and im definately not taing sides but if it isn't patented you have a hard road ahead... funny thing is it may actually help you sell more in the long run.. spools version will sell to the same market as the rest of their gear. It is generally accepted as off the shelf china sourced product and they have priced it accordingly, yours on the other hand will still be the premium product and there are always customers after the branded premium item. The more widely known the concept is, generally the more sales be it low end or high end, the key is pricing yours as the easy upsell. Sure it may be conceived as morally wrong but unfortunately that is business regardless of product type or industry. If the original manufacturer does not keep their pricing structure relevant then it opens up a market gap that is easily filled and SPOOL, NITTO etc are doing that with their whole range, who can blame them? they didn't open the gap... they only filled it before someone else.
  22. Good catch ^^ yeah unfortunately the r34 GTR has the worst ignition issues of all skylines and as i posted below i dont hink ive had one come through that didnt need them ( http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...e-t319966.html )
  23. dont bother with the HG, it should be sweet as is.
