  1. your on crack if you make that much power (cant be nice power either) on a r34 SMIC... its a time bomb. I hope you monitor your ait's.
  2. Andrew came past last wed and said the dirty 30 crank is not far off, should be a good thing.
  3. here is a mines map versus factory... bugger all diff. It is doing jack for you... time for a decent ecu and cooler as posted previous.
  4. for starters you need a tune to suit the hiflow the mines ecu is nowhere near optimal and secondly the r34 coolers are junk. Fit a decent cooler and get a tune.
  5. Back to back testing on my dyno revealed coppers always make more power.
  6. neo runs twin regs and a damper.
  7. Very nice, at the end of the day GT3071 and 3076 are by far the best bolt on option for skylines... even the internal gate ones work a treat. Killer to see it pulled 224 on sams dyno, my memory is shit so i pulled your old hypergear file (jan 09) and it pulled 224 here too
  8. Wagon Paints in victoria for your floor epoxy paint. Ultimate garage floor covering i used the left over from the shop at home and its sweet as. http://www.wagonpaints.com.au/
  9. Yeah if you can hold it one load point lower (where yours probably was) it will make more power and no dip the trick is to increase the boost until the dip appears then back it off and tune the safc there.... it will generally make more power on less boost.
  10. True but to be fair many engines are not built by the tuner. When i build my own customers engines i will run in and tune in one dyno session, BUT if it was built by the owner or by someone else i have no previous experience with i will often do a decent run in tune say 80 % of projected peak then ask the customer to drive the car for 2000-5000km to heat cycle everything (joiners, gaskets etc) to iron out any potential issues then come back and charge by the hour for the final 20%. I figure 5000km will show up any potential issues.
  11. i would take a Dsbc any day over anything
  12. there is NO POWER difference between the plugs, only lifetime. ^^^^^^^^^
  13. yup read this as gospel ^^
  14. No a customer of mine drove it and said above 5000 it felt flat, which for a turbo that comes in as quick as this does is to be expected.
  15. unfortunately the std ecu has a huge dip in the ignition value on higher load areas of the map (R34 is worse) and your safc can do nothing about it as it only manipulates the airflow meter signal to the ecu. You need a ecu that allows ignition control. If you follow the blue fake trace i did in paint across the r33 std ecu ignition map you will see the timing goees 26 - 22 -16 - 14 -20 - 28 and the bold timing figure give you that dip. Once tuned you smooth out these timing dips and bingo nice smooth power delivery. Bear in mind my trace is rough and is only an example it wont correlate exactly to your rpm scale as i dont know the exact ecu model in your car and the timing scales are slightly different between ecu releases but the underlying issue is as described above.
  16. Looks like a great upgrade for those who do only the gymkhana and deca days (low and low to mid rpm), rolls off too much up top for my liking (interesting to know the exhaust pressure above 5000?) but boy it would be quite the traffic light hero im sure you will sell a truck load. Congrats on another niche segment turbo.
  17. get some decent coil packs (SPLITFIRES) as nearly every R34 GTR ive had on the dyno has had spark issues that could only be sorted with new coil packs.
  18. powerup. probably more like 5000 total units including the single stage.
  19. Its up to you we have around 6 or 7 std NA + T engines making around the 250rwkw mark reliably. The only downside to the NA block is lack of oil squirter's if you are after big horsepower, just source a turbo block and use the rest of the NA gear.
  20. after selling over 1000 units wholesale i can honestley say put the turbotech back on
  21. terrible news, its also upsetting to see the media always jumps to the street racer scenario in circumstances like this. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/104945...way-truck-crash
  22. yeah wood is the go try not to use anything thats hardened just in case it slips and centre punches something useful
  23. Shane i reckon the boost t might be getting a bit excited in the cold weather. We will look at it for you asap.
