  1. yeah, i thought yours was just an isolated case (first southland e85 car) but now all 3 cars that have run the E85 from there have needed an adjustment. Hamish has noted a loss in low end response too compared to the old E85 tune so i would like to get it in and tune it specifically for the southland brew. i reckon it has too much fuel still in the transitional parts of the map (we only did a quick adjustment for the southland fuel to map it safe).
  2. go the r34 Neo better engine and auto package than its predecessors.
  3. Bugger, i would be looking at using something fairly large 270 10.8mm minimum, you know that setup is good for around 800hp and Bee-R made close to the ton with a pair. If it was mine id lash out 280 or 290 11.5mm (and associated head gear)... wind up some boost hold the fk on
  4. or 20% on the southland gear.
  5. the final graphs i give in AFR as people relate easier for some reason (the offset is petrol on those graphs), the dynapack has the abilty to offset the afr output to suit E85, Petrol, LPG, Alcohol and diesel. If your worried about it just tune in Lambda, i dont know a dyno that cant be switched in a mouse click if not drop past and i'd be happy to show you the differences live.
  6. what turbo?
  7. could even just be a simple tps issue, its auto yeah?
  8. Not a bad comparo, some one pm'd it to me today (mirrored what i was saying earlier) http://www.carcraft.com/techfaq/116_0701_p...eter/index.html
  9. For the southland E85 Power is the same, but needs 10% less fuel and 5 degrees less timing to get said result. (red line represents first run with old e85 settings, too rich and too much timing)
  10. If your engine is upside down the crank is fully rested against the bearing material on the low side so your measuring the clearance on the high side (sum of both clearances) no need to divide by 2. That said i no longer (since i was an apprentice) use plastigage as it is not precise enough, it will often read tighter than it actually is giving you a loose engine. A mic is the only way to go TBH see stolen interwebs picture.
  11. If it still fails check that the start wire hasnt got constant 12v wired to it also (orang wire or orange with blue stripe). I had some issues with a similar conversion and i found the "start" signal wire at the ecu was wired to ign power not start power. This adds to the injection time = rich and epa fail. I only mention it as its had a conversion.
  12. Use this gear over the drains, if you CBF'd using an fittings http://www.mpsracing.com/products/Earls/Flame_Guard.asp
  13. try bike places. ktech on westall does bike suspension. http://www.promecha.com.au/site_map.htm If not shock rec in qld http://www.shockreco.com.au/reco.htm ive used the shockreco joint and it is cheap but is also hit and miss. Thats why i use bike places as they do a better job as usually if you stuff up bike suss someone dies....
  14. Ian rose does supply content for the age.
  15. there are two type R's std and hard, just make sure you dont buy the hard if your running a small setup.
  16. the four in your particular app.
  17. Yeah we have one of thier circuit based sumps and it is very nice. ASR / high energy sumps are the only tin sumps i would recommend.
  18. the tank in the R32 gtr is under the floor to fit that i would just remove the std tank and spare wheel well to make sure you dont raise your C of G to high.
  19. or the pickup could be loose. Could be a myriad of things all of which the results could suck if left too long.. Best bet is to drop the sump and look for play in the big ends (conrod) and pull a few main caps off too just to be sure. Thi swill tell you what is damaged.
  20. well for 600hp i would be looking @ a blitz kit from just jap not a hdi or cooling pro kit.
  21. 300zx should be on NO to buy list.
  22. same guys, top blokes too.
  23. is the head off? as your gonna be limited to fairly small lift cams (the tunnels need machining to allow the lobes to clear)
  24. very impressive shop, i have dyno room envy that shop alone is responsible for me moving into another premises which allows me to build a room like that ...
  25. hmm i saw GTR in avatar and GT2835, surely we are talking x 2 yeah? so big hp big setup?
