  1. Kind of, it isnt possible with your run of the mill chips but it is possible but i'm not sure 100% how its done, i had to retrofit a PFC D-jetro to a imported car from japan (GTR) with remaped ecu running map. I tried various ways to pull the base image off it but failed. It would have been quite nice to use the modified address information for other Nissan ecu's. It is still a pet project of mine atm for SR20.
  2. is it on the right channel? there are 5.
  3. has it got the factory boost sensor conected? sits behind the factory bov.
  4. best things ive used off ebay are the ASI gear.
  5. depends on your base gate pressure but BLITZ dual solenoid, Greddy profec-b are a good start, im not a fan of the HKS controllers though.
  6. people forget that with the SAFC there are always 2 actions for every adjustment. SO if you get the mixture nice (usually by leaning it out from the factory rich settings) the second action is to the timing table. Reduce fuel = increse timing Increase fuel = decrease timing If you take out too much fuel you generally add too much timing especially around peak torque in the midrange. Finally if for some reason the car switches over to the low octane map the tuning is done based on the wrong map. A good practice is to run a very aggressive ramp rate once finished then turn the car off for 30seconds and redo the run just to make sure both runs are identical. If it was in the low octane map for the first run the car will most likely knock its head off and be lean on the second run. I hate SAFC's on anything mildy smart (r34's etc) as it is impossible to get what i consider good results... especially as i monitor the base tables with nistune and see just how average the base figures are to work with.
  7. hmm this thread... unsubscribed.
  8. Cap them on the intake side, and block the feeds in the engine block.
  9. bullet cylinder heads pretty much lead the country for 26 heads, many shops claim to do cnc in house but all they do is send it to them....
  10. oil cooled, bin the water lines.
  11. definately not so.
  12. N1 r32 are pretty average but 5500 is a bit late. I have had a lot of R32 GTR's in lately with leaking intake gaskets and itb gaskets. Spray aerostart around the intake manifold joins and if it idle increases they need replacing (do the lot though including the one to the head) if your in sydney take it to jim at CRD.
  13. no stress, i can monitor and adjust all these parameters once we fit the nistune board
  14. sounds lean, possible the afm is screwy.
  15. only after each event and new engine build.... so only about 25 now
  16. use new studs, i can tell you now reused ones fail. We tuned a 250000km $150 wrecker NA rb30e (still single cam) @ 22psi (300rwkw) and the brand new gasket failed due to poor clamp pressure (pushed into coolant channel) fitted new studs and it has run like a charm.
  17. UM your sign in is dorifta... any correlation?
  18. the container i have with dead ones in it....... next to one bosch (that was 5 years old and ate rust)
  19. Agreed we strip all the "crate" motors and check over everything (especially the american stuff). I would much rather drop the money locally and do it myself but hey. On the other hand i have a nice 'ESPIRIT' built SR20 crate motor (strip and check over, for new owner) in ATM and i must admit it is spot on 400kw, solid head is on the money (no need to touch) mains and big ends also spot on (just replace the nismo bearings as its apart).
  20. someone who values added protection, these filters filter ~10 ten times smaller particulates than ryco or oem and i have the wear check data on my built engines to back it up. We were using K&N (regarded as one of the best money can buy) but found the DRIFT bettered the filtration (particulate testing) and as i buy in bulk cost me substanially less. i use these on engine setups costing upwards of $25-30k without any qualms. Ryco are far from leaders in performance filters but they make a great general filter, for general applications.
  21. is it reverasion causing bad idle or is it shuffle whilst driving? Ive heard some cars get a bit of shuffle going up a slight incline at low throttle.
  22. Never had an issue, used over 250 drift oil filters.....
  23. theres your issue for starters (long way off), and if tuned correctley an SR20 wont like an additional 15 degrees either....
