  1. I love that about GT4. So many people neglect the enduros with B-Spec and fast forward. They are among my favorite races (Good old pause whilst at work). Although yeah. 24 non stop 1 driver would be insane. I'm sure somebody, somewhere in the world has done it though. Shame im selling my PS2 shortly Ive only kept it this long because of that game. Curse GT5 taking so long. Not that its a shock. But thats another discussion. Ive been hitting Diablo 2 LOD again, a mixture of Snes Roms, and UFC 2009 (Only to stay in form for when i visit mates. lol) Luke
  2. Calder Park Heathcote Park Winton Just to name a few Ive only been to Heathcote personally. All you need is a licence, a car, long sleeves/pants and a helmet. On a Test and tune you just rock up with all of the above. Give them about $50 get a quick car check and you can run as many times as you want. Easily upwards of 20-30 if you are racing like a hero and not thinking about what your doing or a good 6-10 if you give the car time to cool down and work out where you are going wrong to improve your times. I'm not sure the setup of Calder Park but I'm sure its would be fairly similar and I'm sure it is closer to your location. Not sure what circuits you have nearby. Also not 100% sure of the way Winton works although hopefully I will soonish, but there are people here who would have been to several track days there who may be able to explain. Either that or do a search. Surely it is covered on here somewhere.
  3. Lmao Thats pretty creative. Butt ugly though. I say if your on P plates you should be driving a slow car until your on opens. Keep that bad boy in place for giggles. But get it chromed. I honestly dont know what a cop would say when they saw it. "What is this?" "Its a Chrome Plated Turbo bypass kit officer" Luke
  4. A highway is still classed as street racing. Maybe a Huge Rear Wing and Canards to add some downforce to try and settle it down. It'll suit the "racer" image. Regardless. What suspension setup do you have? All standard parts? Or a mix match of upgrades? Besides alignments and such. Is everything done up tightly? Suspension Components and Wheel Nuts etc? Luke
  5. Yeah. So far all painting and polishing is done by me. Although I'll be sanding back everything thats painted so far and redoing. And everything that is/will be polished I'm going to get done professionally for quality and time reasons. Today I found a higher rated hose (150 degrees) to connect the water lines together as well as heat wrap to protect it. This arvo I'm hoping to get that done so i can continue on with the install. Luke
  6. Another new photo. Comparing New and Old turbos. Overall dimensions fairly similar, new ones a bit bigger. Inlet is clearly bigger though. Almost ready to whack it on the manifold and start doing things up. Just playing around with the waterlines still. Ive been recommended to join both ends of the water lines with fuel hose (only like 5 cm's or so). However its only rated to 125 degrees. So needless to say im quite concerned as to halting progress till this is delt with. So before i go further im looking into a really good heatwrap and position of the water line to get as much clearance from any hot parts as possible. Today I did have a 15 second go at putting the Turbo on the manifold just for a look. It will be an extremely tight fit until i get it on the studs. Didnt get long to fiddle though as the wife came home and started telling me to get away from the car and get back to fixing up the house. (Why do i always take holidays when she isnt working ) Luke
  7. Where are you located? I have a super nintendo that i pulled out of the cupboard earlier today looking to garage sale off. + Mario Allstars Super Metroid Zelda Streetfighter 2 etc And a few others that i cant just think of right now. Also have the Scope Gun with the game that came with that. Im located in Bendigo - Victoria. If your interested pm me and i'll get a full list of the rest of the games i have as well.
  8. Yeah. Dont bother. Be a nightmare of a thing to drive back like that if it would do it at all without a new ecu and tune. Not to mention the effort to do it. Get someone else to bring it back for sure.
  9. ATR43i - G3 0.63 housing. Cheers. I'll stick with just the copper washer. And just keep an eye on it for the start to make sure she seals. It'll be a fair while before i will be able to post real results. I'm doing a bit of cosmetic work under the bonnet whilst its all out which im in no major hurry for, and with both cars insurance and rego due shortly, I wont be able to afford to get tuned for a while. Luke
  10. Hey guys. Silly question but i better double check. Just about ready to throw my new Hypergear turbo on. Just getting the space ready before i do. It comes with a braided Oil line. Now banjo fitting on turbo side (easy enough), On the engine side it is a 2 piece setup. Male thread which screws into the stock location on the engine. Then it has a threaded compression type end which screws into the female thread on the braided line. It Screws in quite easily to the engine. Now i am trying to work out what i can use to ensure theres no oil leakages. Whether a copper washer connecting to the engine would be sufficient and whether i would need anything to seal the fitting to the braided line. If this make no sense at all I can get pictures up tomorrow. Last thing stopping me from getting the turbo onto the manifold. Cheers for any help. Luke
  11. Its not perfect. But yes. Certainly better then tipping it down the storm water. Thanks for the comments guys. What about coolant?? Am i right to tip the water/coolant mix down the drain? or is that a nono?
  12. Both the Front lip and Spoiler came from Just Jap. Just told the painter to paint the central section in a blackish color to blend with the window surrounds. The Wing Blade of the Spoiler is done in the same black
  13. I just bought that Turbocharger (ATR43g3) for my RB25 (internal gate). Product itself arrived in good time and looks fantastic sitting on the floor. While i havent finished the install yet. I can see that it looks fairly bolt on, except for the turbos water lines not being needed anymore, and a short segment of intercooler piping will need making up. They are the main things that stand out as needing a bit more effort. Which rear housing you looking at? I opted for the .63 for better response. That price is a bit higher then i paid new from Hypergear. Is that including install or tune etc? Also. Do you have a suitable Fuel pump and set of injectors to suit the specified power level? Cheers. Luke
  14. Hey guys. Just a quick question regarding the disposal of the various fluids that are removed from our vehicles. i.e engine oil? Where abouts can you take it? Dont really want to be dodgy here. Coolant Fluid? Sure its mostly water, im thinking of just tipping down drain. But want to clarrify before i do it. Power steering? Brake Fluid? (guessing both these would go with the engine oil?) Cheers. Luke
  15. The simple fact is though, they are being ADVERTISED as REPLICA. And every part on those particular models is designed to match the model. Different league to a factory R32-33-34. With a set of fibreglass copy panels and some badging. Now if that same person was to take that gts and change the drivetrain, engine, suspension, bodywork, interior, etc etc etc. To the point where is matchs the specs of a GTR exactly. THEN advertise it as a replica. Then i dont see it being a problem except for financial loss in doing such a thing.
  16. My R33 about 1 week ago Same car. Right now. - (except minus the CAS and cam gear cover) Cheers. Luke
  17. I agree with this although i don't believe in false rebadging. It is upto the seller to list the product exactly how it is or be liable to fraud. But it is also upto the buyer to do their research. Theres too many people out there looking to make an extra dollar these days. If you are going to be spending up on something valuable, you need to know what your dealing with, or have something trustworthy/experienced to help. (Or alas you will be stuck with an RB20/25 instead of a 26. or worse still. No turbo at all) RULE NUMBER 42: If your GTS is dressed up to look like a GTR and has matching badges. We will find out and you will be mocked and frowned upon. Gts-t's trying to stand out from the crowd FTW Luke
  18. Go to a gym and ask a massive guy. Dont post on a public forum regarding sources for illegal substances
  19. Located in Bendigo Central Vic. Thanks for answering. I shall stick with the existing manifold as it is at the moment, except with some new bolts. Yeah i still have the cover so im not fussed at all with what the manifold looks like. Concern Solved. Luke
  20. Yeah its just surface. Just whilst i have access to it i might as well find out if theres a better alternative. i.e the caramic coating that will be better for me in the years to come
  21. Hey Guys. Just another quick question before i bolt the new turbo in place. My factory Manifold is looking a bit worse for wear (Not leaking or anything though). Corroded away along with most of the bolts in it being stuffed. (Part of being 13 years old i guess) Option 1 and the easiest - Leave it there pretend it isnt corroding and worry about it next time there is a problem. (maybe something could spray with to help protect the new bolts i will be putting in??) Option 2 - Take it off (will be a nightmare i am sure) And replace it with a new Factory piece. If this is the case would it be well worth looking into ceramic coating? and would there be anything else you can do to improve the factory manifolds performance. Option 3 - You tell me what this option is. If replacing with a non factory manifold it would have to line up like factory on both ends as well as sit in the factory location. i have ZERO interest in a himount setup. Cheers for any help. Luke
  22. Hey Guys. Hoping you might be able to help. Whilst engine bay is being stripped to bits im looking at replacing a lot of the larger rubber hoses for new as part of general maintanance, upgrading looks. Now i would like to upgrade to a nicer looking alternative but if i have to maybe just stock ones will. Question being where to source diff hoses types, and what options i may have? (I would love to use a braided line for the one over the rocker cover but there isnt enough room to get it around the tight bend.) Photo for some examples. (The smaller point at the top right is referring to the long hose that connects around the circle then right angles towards the drivers side and heads down just below the plenum). Cheers for any help. Luke
  23. Ok. New that is a scary looking engine bay. Robotic Octopus is correct. Few new pictures to add for my build. Started pulling the engine bay down yesty. Before Pic Stripdown pic 01 Stripdown pic 02- (Car currently in this state) The main new parts being installed. More to follow as becomes ready.
  24. Lol. A Hyundai Excel running on 3 cylinders could bag em up in the wet with some agro.
  25. Maybe at 25 yo im getting too old for this sort of thing. I say give it a 2 min wash at the servo then hand it in. What is so exciting about flogging a Vectra anyways? A month after youve dropped the car off you'll barely remember it unless you do completely stuff it.
