Finally back in "Car mode" after a few months of barely looking at the thing. Almost have enough money to get it tuned. Been running around using its current state of tune and everything is still running quite nicely. Knock levels are fine, injector duty is fine for the way I'm driving it. Obviously cant give it a bootful yet though. Tune is only about a month away now. Thank you tax return. No new photos but at the moment but the new seats + rails are off with the engineer getting sorted. Playing it safe and getting it done properly. No need putting myself at risk cause of a half assed install. They will be finished in about a fortnight. Currently my aim of having all the turbo/tune/seats finished by November for the Numurkah show and shine are looking on track. Just need to keep driving it enough to stop the battery going flat. Luke

Anyone Want To Take Me For A Stagea Spin?
l_uk3y replied to SU8TLE's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I have only seen 1 or 2 around Bendigo. Main one that comes to mind lives (or used to live) on High Street in Golden Square. With a Cooler hiding behind the front bar. Think it belonged to someone working at Hungry Jacks. I'm sure I've seen another one floating around but that's about it. Luke -
If your looking for suspension in Bendigo. Try Bendigo Tyre Centre. They have been pretty good in my experience and do most of the suspension/tyre work for my car now. Seem to be fairly reasonable priced. But very good service. Luke

Hey there. Another one from Bendigo. We must have almost 5 members from here now lol Looks like I'm a month behind. How is the New car going? Don't stress too much about Bendigo Cops. I've found if your not doing anything wrong and your polite then they are quite fair. (You will get pulled up though) Hence why you won't see me on the road much. Luke -
Front Page Advertiser : Restriction For Young P-plate Drivers
l_uk3y replied to Thomas parker's topic in South Australia
Now that would be a good thing to implement into the test. It would help stop all the people who don't really know what they are doing but really want a license anyway. -
Front Page Advertiser : Restriction For Young P-plate Drivers
l_uk3y replied to Thomas parker's topic in South Australia
I think the rules are a good idea. However I also see cars like the current gen commodore and falcon 6's as being the highest risk cars for today's drunk P plater late at night. Hence why the idea of culling passengers after midnight is a great idea. Only issue to combat then is "the mental issue". Unless you can control the mind of the young person then there will always be an issue. Personally I was more then happy waiting to get my Skyline and think I'm better for having my pintara and lancer. Just made it all the more exciting the day I did the 2 hour trip from the other side of Melbourne back home. -
hobby work. lol. How good is that!!! Come on tattslotto tickets. Its gotta be my turn soon.

The Best. Forget It, It's Over, Wrap It Up!

Hard to believe people could drive so hard on that track. Even playing that track on the playstation gets me freaking out. I'd love to actually drive it but I don't think I have it in me to really push my limits. -
Lol. That is the first time I have EVER heard of putting a filter on a BOV. How Bizarre. I'll stick with my factory piece setup the factory way thankyou
-
Yeah. Was a good effort getting it back on the track. Fairly awesome looking rear end once they took all the panels off. Much cooler then a "boot".

I was at JB here earlier today and they have GT5 on preorder. Tempting but I want to see a more realistic date first. Either that or preorder now and get a free steering wheel and pedals

Finally got some of mine. Not that elaborate and certainly not going to get anyone exicted. But it is very functional for everything I use it for. The last pic is of a mobile bench I made up to have a portable access to my main tools. Future possibles. Behind the brickwall (behind the punch bag) is just shelving and the Hot water unit. I am considering knocking that wall out and putting in more shelving and a tirerack and moving the hot water unit outside to get it out of the shed. Please provide any thoughts/ suggestions/ critisizims as I really want to make it bigger and better.
-
I'll try and get some of mine when I get a chance. Not as elaborate as some. But it does the job nicely as a blend of being able to work on the Skyline during the weekend/ Store 2 cars overnight whilst having easy access to turn into a gym type environment if I have anyone wanting Fitness or MA training. Just need to do a bit of cleaning and I'll get a photo.

Meh Can't say I blame him. Courts the way they are at the moment. He will get a slap on the wrist and for the rest of his life can say. "I drove a Ferrari" Jokes on Crown really. What were they thinking????

How Much Can A Factory R33 Gtst Airbox Hande?
l_uk3y replied to Rav3nNZ's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Hmm. Experience lately seems to be pointing to. "Watch out for what they mate reckons". Whilst I don't know the limit of the factory airbox I have heard of several people using them with aftermarket turbos. (Lmao including myself actually but I haven't been retuned yet to give final power figure). How much power are you running?? Or what are your final goals for a power figure?? Either way a poorly setup Pod filter aint gonna be any better then factory airbox anyway without even considering how damn noisy they can be. The day I swapped from Apexi Pod back to factory airbox (with K&N panel) was a very good day. Luke -
lol at Stunts. That game is one of my all time favs. And there was nothing wrong with the graphics at the time. By far the thing that made it the best was the track building feature.
-
Its not a bad thing. The 33 is great to drive. But I would love to have a whirl in an exotic or any 100k+ euro. (even just to putt around town at 50km/h).
-
Sadly another one in the "my own gts-t" pile. I'll have to hit a posh rental place with a few grand one day.
-
Future plans. Once its tuned on this turbo that is the "expected end" of the power mods Its getting fairly close now to where I want it. Brakes are still completely standard and is on my list. Just looking along the lines of slotted rotors (factory size), upgraded pads and brake lines. Nothing over the top as it already stops pretty well. Otherwise just remove Hicac, Oil Cooler, maybe look at a quieter exhaust, and some underbody aero inc rear diffuser but that will be last on the list. So yeah. No more major plans. More then anything just the finishing touches so that I can make the most of it when I finally hit the circuit. After that its time to put more focus into the house and piss off the damn VSIII Statesman for something much nicer as an everyday car. Luke

Arhh well. If thats what it takes to get ahead On a side note. Who cares about AFL and rugby etc. 90% of the people that play them are hardly the brightest or most useful beings in society. Odviously not all but yeah. Not a fan. All a bit pointless to me ** gets ready for flaming ** - (but doesn't care what the reactions are )

Couple more pics. Nothing really new. Expecting Stainless steel BOV return line to be done tommorow. The Seat rails I have ordered I have just found are on backorder until the end of June (LMAO) but I can wait patiently for them. Also got a pic of my comp room. Just for laughs. Still need to get around to getting a Decent sized turbo (non working) to polish up and through on the shelf next to the helmet. Couple more model cars to get to finish that collection as well. Car should be booked in to get the Timing fixed in about 2 weeks. Soooo close now. Cheers. Luke

Older Members Debunk Hoon Sterotyping?
l_uk3y replied to GTR-N1's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Funnily enough I'm seeing less and less of these now. Odviously still lots of 80's "getting tired" cars. But actual "dungers" I think they are dying off. (at least locally). -
Saw A Dude Smash His Ferrari This Arvo
l_uk3y replied to greensa14's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ferrari's are awesome. Its the people that own them bring the reputation down. (LMAO, seem to hear that a lot lately about many a topic) -
It should depend on the quality of the wheel fitment you select As long as its a quality job on the fenders with no structural alterations I don't think there'd be too many issues getting it engineered. Without that then you will be at the mercy of the officers "opinion" which is unpredictable.

Well. She is finally running with the new turbo. Went for a lap around the block last night to make sure it could handle more then just idling on the driveway. First time its left the yard since November. Got her upto 55km/h and almost 3000rpm LMAO Far from running properly. Just need to get a Stainless steel BOV return line fabbed up (currently capped off, with the factory BOV running atmo as a temp). Also going to get a Bell-mouth Dump pipe/Front pipe as I'm not happy with how the Split dump I'm using lined up with the new Turbo. Also going to fab up a new heat-shield to cover the turbo. Once these things are addressed I'll take it to my local Mech to fix the timing on the CAS for me then hopefully it will be ready to take back to Racepace for its final tune. Come on 260rwkw. (My goal). Other things are the happening with the car. I have purchased 2 new front seats. As much as I would love a set of brides I just cant justify the cost. Just waiting on the arrival of the rails before I can install them. Also did a quick install of a Fire Extinguisher (Mounted on the rise between the left and right rear foot wells), as well as put a few more reinforcement brackets to hold the front lips to the front bar a bit sturdier. Its scary to think how far I've come with this car and how my original plans are so different to where I want to be now. I bought the 33 instead of a 34 thinking I'd have 8k to spend to extras. I always declined the idea of a larger turbo and only ever had the goal of lowered springs, a stereo, wheels and an exhaust. The performance bug is too strong. More photo's to follow soon. Luke
