  1. Lol I had to stop and look when I saw Joeyjoejoe asking about bodykits. Something just wasn't right Its hard to go past custom wide body from CARBON (painted to look factory) including unpainted carbon front splitter and rear diffuser. With a V8 supercar style spoiler to pull off a suitable GT car effect. That said. Very impractical for real use so i'm going to stick with nice simple add on front lip and a gtr spoiler. Leave the rest of the bodywork standard. Very practical, generally looks clean, cheap. Easier to replace/repair a lip then a full bar and it looks much nicer to me then a big chunky missmatch of parts (or veilside ) Luke
  2. Nice Color. So you masked up the rotor face when you painted then??? Sounds like a nightmare if you didn't and plan on rubbing it back to remove the paint. Or... Maybe i'm just confused at how your going about this. Look forward to seeing the next round of photos to clarify how your going to finish this off.
  3. Certainly not the sexiest. But god damn that looks tough . Looks like it was built with a purpose and guideline and sticks to it all the way. Nothing on it looks like it doesn't belong there.
  4. Wow. That is one of the most impressive dyno rooms Ive ever seen. You know someone takes their business serious when you see something like that. Glad to hear you have a great result. Always good to hear of quality workshops. Luke...
  5. Nice photos. Came up really well. Very professional looking shots.
  6. True. But we do have a fairly solid track emphasis on this site with a lot of people either using their cars part time on the track or building full time track cars. The comparison is definitely warranted as not everybody wants to do the wrong thing by using no cat on the street. If they do, Bad luck if you get caught.
  7. Although I haven't tried this since well before my Power FC went in (so the typical exhaust, cooler and boost). For laughs I swapped my 3" metal cat to a gutted factory cat. Couldn't feel any difference in the seat of the pants in terms of revvability or speed. Just a bit more crackle (No idea if it popped any flames or not as I was in the drivers seat) With a video camera from behind whilst the car was stationary revving it didn't do squat though. Needless to say. The metal cat is in place full time. With plans for an unrestricted bolt on side pipe behind front wheel for track work to save weight and hopefully pop flames on the track. Luke
  8. Yeh agreed. Seen much better model photos then that. Not really that she aint any good. Just doesnt look like it turned out right. How did you score that shoot?
  9. Nice Wheels PM-R33. Did you take that photo yourself? If so what type of camera did you use?
  10. Lol what a joke. The Media. The only group of people more untrustworthy then Polititions
  11. Man I hope they pull this game off and it runs on my computer. The original still rates as MY "most addictive game of all time", and favorite online game. Go the Protoss
  12. Hey guys. Just stumbled across this site whilst looking for sites on aero design on track cars which I think is worth sharing for those that feel like a read. Has a lot of details on the way air flows around a car body both above and below and how it effects the car. Also covers several other topics that some may find usual in regards to race car design which you may be able to put to their own use. http://www.gmecca.com/byorc/dtipsaerodynamics.html Cheers. Luke
  13. Of all the cheap tacky accessories i've ever seen. That one actually aint to bad. Also very versatile. Different types of creatable engine notes. Or you would be able to program it to come in at 4k rpm with a turbo woosh. haha. That would get great for all the Vtec and rotary owners. Lots of revs should make for some crazy stereo engine sounds. I certainly wont be getting one however. My RB is makes enough of its own noise. Luke
  14. Although I don't have experience with any other brands of coil-overs, I have Jap spec Superstreets on my 33 gts-t and am happy with them. They make a little bit of noise (nothing worth worrying about) ride is fine, can be harsh on some bumps but hey. Not many aftermarket mods have no side effects (Roads here aren't perfect but they certainly aren't bad). They also seem to have some support if you require repairs on them. My vote says there is better out there. However they are a very good option for their price. Luke
  15. Yeah it was actually a bit embarrassing how easy it went in after a small hit of grease. Here i was panicking that I had broken something getting it out. (was a bit tight to get out- once again prolly cuz it was dry)
  16. LMAO. Problem solved. Poor little baby just needed a bit of lube.
  17. +1 for a new replacement. Mine came with an Alpine Double Din CD/mini disk player. Lol. 0.3 short of triple J And I dont have any mini disks (nor think ive ever seen any locally). Still have it somewhere. Replacement head units aren't that expensive in the grand scheme (unless you change to touch screen dvd ) Luke
  18. GTR - Higher Excitement. Higher Risk of something going wrong that will cost up big. Got the "awesome factor" GT-T - Newer, probably less history, more comfortable, much nicer interior. Slower but in theory cheaper in the long run. If I was after a toy and had a daily I'd go for the gtr in a flash If I was after a daily driver I'd go the GT-T
  19. So the 4 Stove Taillights don't give it away enough??? Lol. The only question I have. If they are that far away not to be able to follow, how do they see the glow on the ground? Unless the Neon Tubes are actually visible themselves??? I'm still considering putting them in the footwells like I had in all my other cars. But I just dont think I have it in me. I think I will just put a fire extinguisher in the footwell instead.
  20. Maybe he read the thread on here about any bogan being able to afford a skyline and causing trouble with it putting the bad name on us all. Hence bumping his price up to avoid that. Sounds like a good idea to me.

    Burnout Mishap

I feel sorry for the person in the Golf. What hope did they have. I don't know why they bother anymore. I don't think anyone actually cares anymore. Watch for 2 seconds to work out what the noise is. Mumble something like. What a tool then go back to what your doing. I used to work with a bloke for a short time who would go out and buy a set of 18" tyres for his zorst and chipped EA (ish?) Falcon XR8. He on average had a set of tyres for about 4 weeks (sometimes less) before he replaced them. EVERY TIME. Beyond a joke really. Seen one burnout seen them all. (except for an awesome oldschool rx7 burnout I saw on the net about 10 years ago (A proper burnout comp though)
  22. Lots of gamers here. Hmm. spare time. There is not much of it. If I'm not at work then I'll either be working on the car, hanging with the wife (Full time job in itself) . Also train in Wing Chun and Hapkido which takes up a few nights a week. Generally fairly anti social so you won't find me out and about much in town or at pubs or whatever people do these days Play a few games on PC and PS3. Generally you'll find me a couple of years behind with my game selection though. Currently working on Sim City 4. lol Otherwise I guess general work around the house. Drawn up a big plan of the lot that we need to get done. And slowly plugging away at it. One section at a time. Never ending journey. Possibly more never ending then the Skyline!!!! Luke
  23. Not a fan of the lower lip on the cma, The top secret is and simple which wont ruin the lines of the car. + another Top secret
  24. Problem is solved. Even then it is a very tight fit with the air box due to the angle of the AFM, combined with the pipe from Intercooler to Turbo Exit. Just need to get the PVC version made up in Stainless and I'm set. If I was only using a pod filter it would have been a piece of piss.
  25. Hmmm. Sure there is a few things out of place. But iron those flaws out and that car would look absolutely mint.
