  1. Unfortunately, that's just the way Tein HR's (HR's are high springrate coilovers just like HA's, but without all the adjustability) end up after a while. Most are fairly old now and just about every car I've been in that's had them rattled like crazy. I say time for an upgrade!
  2. I'll add my 2 cents - As a daily car, I'd get the R33 or the Supra. R32 and 180sx are getting a tad too old and it's getting difficult to find a good example that will be reliable; even the later model 180's lack refinement. In a comparison between a 97 Type X 180 and a 97 R33, you can feel the R33 is far better built. The 180's rattle like a b*tch and the ride isn't as smooth. It just lacks the research and development that was put into the Skyline. Don't get me wrong, I love the 180, it was my first car... they're fun to drive and all if you like to go sideways often, but when selecting a daily driver there are far better options. (And definitely stay away from the CA18... unless it's been rebuilt. Every single one that I've known has gone pop because they're getting on in years.) And I agree with the person that said R33's aren't more common than the others. On Brissie's Southside, I see far more 32's and 34s than anything else. In a count one night, I saw 12x 34Gt-t, 8x R32s and 3x R33's. I notice this trend occurring frequently as imports have become more popular and prices of 34's have dropped. R33s=more common? Definitely NOT; may have been the case once, but no longer.
  3. That's funny, cause there's a similar reason behind why I named my box of nails "Ellen" cause she loves it when we hammer her
  4. OMFG DUDE! You named your crowbar after my mum!! What the hell! Sorry to hear about the 32... I'm guessing it was some little old azn lady that got scared and ran off Let us know how today's station visit goes.
  5. Aww, Marki's just jealous cos I dont give him any lovin'
  6. Transformers was better :laughing-smiley-014:
  7. 2.5 inch catback is too small for a turbo car IMO... that's the kinda size you'd put on your honda. Go for 3" :sorcerer:
  8. Just bought the Transforming version today to sit on my shelf. Damn it's a hot car.
  9. Aww, so you DIDN'T have a 2530 on the way? Lies... all LIES :laughing-smiley-014:
  10. I'll try to be of some assistance, hope u dont mind marki.... The catback is Jasma and sounds really sexy, probably the best RB25 rumble I've ever heard. The dump/front section is from FLYN performance and set Sean back $280 not even 3 months ago. I'm pretty sure the cannon is the only part with a few dings on it, have to wait for Mark or Sean to reply for confirmation there. It's a quality system and you wont regret coming down to have a look I'm sure. The 3 gauges were an optional extra that the original purchaser obviously didn't bother with, not all GT-T's have them.
  11. I'd go the white one, can't go past the Ohlins suspension. Plus is pretty much a new car with only 16,000klms
  12. A number of years ago, Hasbro began the "Alternators" line of figures with the Rally Spec WRX which was sold in stores in Australia. The Alternators consist entirely of real cars including the Mustang, Rx-8 and DC5-type R to name a few. There are still a few Alternators left in Australian stores, but most commonly in Toyworld or specialty stores. If you find one, you're fairly lucky. Alternators retailed at $50 a piece, but can generally be found lower back in the day. In Japan, the Alternators are known as "BinalTechs" by Hasbro's partner company, Takara. They are exact replicas of the Alternators, except they contain diecast parts. Expect to pay double the price for these. $80-100 a piece is what you should be paying delivered to your door. As for where to buy them, online is your best bet. Try stores that specialize in Transformers figures and of course, eBay. Personally I only buy, and have a number BinalTechs; as they were far more limited and will hold/gain value better than the Alternators.
  13. I own this toy, frankly.. it's absolute crap. Waste of money. It looks nothing like a GTR, infact, Armada Sideswipe has 4 doors. It may take elements from the design of the R32, but nothing more. You cant say that looks like a skyline rear end That said... anyone looking to buy it is better off investing in a few GOOD transformers figures, like my Honda S2K or WRX figures.
  14. +1 to making a thread so i can post more pics!
  15. No joke.... it's one of Marki's cars.
  16. Someone is bound to ask why... see attachment
  17. Will the coilovers fit a normal R33GTST?
  18. I've got a few Q's. 1.What forms of adjustability do they have? 2. Why did you change your suspension set up if these were good? 3. How do they handle and how low do they go? Cheers
  19. Except they're for series 1 unfortunately. Sorry, I didn't specify
  20. I cant agree more
  21. Yup, there's a number of threads on CF bonnets, but no matter how many there are there's never any info on where to get a Z-tune styled one
  22. I've been considering the Nengun Tein SuperStreets too, but I've been told they only lower by about 30mm? Anyone got them on their R33 that can confirm with pics?
  23. It really depends whether you're asian or white. Oh yes, don't bother trying Pizza Hut pizzas there unless you're fairly keen because the prices are astronomical. Some pizzas were AU$30+. That said though, I had the best spaghetti bolognese in my life from Pizza Hut there.
  24. I'd say it's the people who prefer the no-wing look; since it's the closest you can get without buying the whole flush-fitting boot.
