  1. get ur friends together, cause it'll be messy. pull the rocker covers off, have a good look at your cams etc, and if need be start it up with the covers off and just hold fingers over oil journals. could be a broken cam lobe. i'll cross my fingers for ya.
  2. thick red one is obvious, purple one should go to starter (fusable link wiring) and the blue/white has me stumped, possible voltage output to computer.
  3. your oil is probably low, oil pressure sending unit is farked, it.s the little sensor next to your oil filter. oil pump going out, and hicas will do that around corners. kind of feels like your steering wheel wobbled.
  4. it shouldnt move. 15 degrees constantly. take it in for a dyno tune so your not robbing yourself of valuable KW and you can make sure the car isnt running too lean or rich.
  5. usually you will get a fluctuating idle, try cleaning the AAIC valve which is on the back of the plenum.
  6. wonderfully done man!!
  7. yes, i would definately replace those plugs. they fire with a screwdriver, but maybe not so good under compression. for the love of GOD, fix that coolant leak and get some antifreeze/coolant in there lmao. The ecu only uses the temp sensor to determine how much fuel the car needs. ie.... when the car is cold it needs to give more fuel, thats why you get a high idle at startup. There is a different sensor next to that for your guage. When the car reaches operating temperature it reads the oxygen sensor to see the difference from the air inside the exhaust and outside the exhaust so it knows whether to enrich or lean. That is called closed loop operation. You will actually know when it is checking when your thermostat opens, the cool coolant hits the sensor and signals to your computer to switch on the electric fan. Your fault code is telling you that your coolant is low. it will not read when it is dry so it knows your out of coolant.
  8. try a compression test and see if you may have a valve stuck open. also any history of head gasket blown? does your exhaust smell sweet? often a simple indicator that there is coolant getting into the cylinder.
  9. you can get the harness that plugs into the back of your ignition for 30 bucks at just jap.
  10. Could also be low battery cranking amps... could try hooking up another battery first thing in the morning to see if it starts right up. My car had that problem after giving a jump to a commodore. Even though it seems to be cranking good enough, the battery could be dying in the arse a bit to make the difference.
  11. keep the 3 bolts tighter, so you need to tap it with a screwdriver to adjust it, that way it doesnt move when you torque the bolts in.
  12. also when was timing belt last checked? could be stretched.
  13. or you can put some fibreglass filler where the handles used to be, get electric door poppers and confuse the hell out of them lmao. if you get a mongoose alarm they are very good and go off before anybody can get in.
  14. Thanks man, she needs a good owner to take care of her. Consider garaging til you can drive it? lol
  15. Thanks man!! I remember you, you were getting your puter tuned lol. Yes that car is driven by my wife lmao, she got the better of the 2. We are going back to the US otherwise we'd never think of selling them. Maybe we'll see you around before we go. Cheers man.
  16. Hey ty for the enquiry.... no she has not been in any accidents.... feel free to take her for a test run..Cheers.
  17. sorry, site was messin up.
  18. not a pro but i have a suggestion... fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or your not getting enough spark. if it was the coolant sensor your car would idle high and not come down cause the comp would assume the engine was cold. maybe some new plugs (they could be caked in oil and the previous owner just *forgot* to mention it) and fuel filters are a cheap part to throw at it. You should just buy one of our cars lol.
