  1. How much you wanna spend on car? Cause if you got 18000 to spend and u spend 13000 on car plus insurance (guessing young male) and good alarm system $3000 you wont be left with too much. Whether a car is boosted or stock you cant entirely tell its history so buying any second hand car is a gamble. Do the usual checks when looking at car and be patient! I would reccommend if your a noob with skylines by a stock one and get to know everything you can about them and their mods. Then when you are ready, do it up and you have a car which is uniquely yours. Just my Personal opinion, all the best on your skyline journey
  2. Thanks DECIM8!! Yes i will most likely get it off 'Kudos'.
  3. I have seen some come with adaptors and some dont? Would one like this be sweet to buy and bolt on? Apexi pod filter
  4. IMO i would say get a FMIC on it or drop the boost to 7psi. Can it handle 11-12psi. some people will say yea but i personally wouldnt. Also box your pod up! Then search search search. Anywhere, Here, people you know. But the more you know the better it will be. I wouldnt go doing mods not knowing what supporting mods they need.
  5. I have raced a Vtec integra 96ish model. He has exhaust and air intake. I had catback on series 1 33... Off the line I got him (comfortably) but top end, Was absolutely neck and neck. I Love the sound of the Vtec when it kicks in.
  6. There are countless amount of threads on this. And as far as i know its still debatable on differences. Size = same if thats what your asking. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...;hl=differences This will help you out a bit more
  7. I personally wouldnt use the 30 bottom end unless i was looking for big power on a drag car. And i mean big. There is nothing wrong with the RB25 bottom end, especially if u wanted 280kw. IMHO the money could be better spent.
  8. I thought id be a nerd and search 'hoon' in google. Then Wikepedia comes up... "HOON" CHeck out the 1st car mentioned. Gotta love us!
  9. As paul said hiflow doesnt = 280. You will have a fair bit less, which is still more then enough power i believe. You could look at this setup for a good 230-250.
  10. The difference in the stock cooler from the 33 to the 34 is its width... They do come with a SMIC from factory. This is what one looks like. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...427&hl=SMIC
  11. I find it best to have your car setup for what u want it for... If u are looking at keeping stock turbo and pushing no more then 220kw then keep your stock SMIC. Their are a few benefits to getting a frount mount and the main one i would say is its there for when u want to upgrade to more power. But you could save your money (for now) and keep the stock SMIC which will be perfectly fine for 220rwkw. And you wont get heat soak with it. With the setup you have described the stock SMIC will be fine and cheaper! But if you do choose to get a FMIC, let me know and i will be more then happy to buy your SMIC off you!!
  12. Bad luck man! Gotta hurt more when u dont have insurance. Good to hear everyone was ok.
  13. Try searching through the victorian section. Here is a list of workshops/dealerships etc. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=13305
  14. If you wanna throw more boost into it buy a FMIC or if your not looking for big power get a 34 SMIC (cheap upgrade). Then crank it up to 10-12.
  15. Take a close up of em and we should be able to tell u.
  16. Hey guys just hoping someone knows the diode colour code/number (or part number if one) so i can get one cause mines rooted. My diode has pretty much exploded so cant tell what colour it supposed to be. The spoiler is a series one R33! Cheers
  17. yea i think we all get that. If its a V8 i will sometimes go him, but if its a "hero" in a VS commodore i let him gun it and sit back and admire the roar power of it
  18. Hey just like to say a big thanks to MANWHORE! U were right about the plug. I ended up having to change clips round a bit but went on perfect and the light works which is good! Now have a hotter looking Series 1. (now to go wash it)
  19. Cheers mate, yea it already has the rubber under it... ill get to work with it tomorrow morning and see how i go!
  20. best way to launch it is practice!
  21. I just picked up series 2 wing i bought. this is the plug connected to it. It wouldnt be much londer then 15-20cm when i extend it which seems short... Now i gathered this was the plug to the spoiler on my car now (series one) but when i disconnect it, the light inside the boot goes off... So im wondering how to connect the new spoilers wire to my car and whch plug is it? Also when puttin the spoiler on, do u just bolt it on or use something to water proof it?
  22. how much for 34 SMIC? you got pics?
