  1. Steve May I ask a serious question...... Have you put the wolf on any EJ20, 2J, etc motors - and what sort of results did you see on these motors? Im just asking to determine if its just rb motor that the Wolf seems to work its majic on, or have you done it on some subi's, supras, etc ...... Thanks

  8. Dave the thread was which I would buy - i stated my answer and followed on. I then went on to answer a question asked by fane. Whats the problem. Im sorry I didnt realise the high quality of posting in the West Section of late was not met by my first hand experience encounter. GUN - who the fark said you needed 4wd ??????? Your the only one. And just so u know - I dont think WRX is oh so wonderful - I was just giviing a guy another option so as to help him make a informed decision in purchasing a car.
  9. mine 60 footer was crap - around 1.9ish @ 170km mods to fix understeer will cost around $300 (150ish for Anti Lift Kit, 150 sway bars). A MY98 rex can be had around the 22 mard these days with mods, less for the 96/94 models . great value - the older models - pre 96 came with a TD05 standard. not bad hey. Dan
  10. Fane Understeer is fixed very easliy with some sway bars and ALK. The WRX kills, and i mean absolutely destroys the gtst for handling and corning. With mild mods and value for money - a rex will kill a gtst. I had on mine a link ecu i bought second hand for 800, exhaust was there already, vf22 turbo 1200 - and some tuning - and was running mid to high 12's. My mates bug eye with same turbo and computer (as well as the standard tmic) ran a 12.78. So on the street where top end is not such a huge factor ...... WRX > gtst. For your money your get more value. PS - sorry not trying to start a shit fight - just answering fanes question. GTR and the RB26 is a completely different story.

  16. I think your heads to far up SST ass. I looked at ecu's at length when buying one for my last car. Comparing the autonics, motec, apexi and wolf. So i actually do know something about them.

  18. BBQ He made 450 at SST dyno dynamics dyno. He made 511 at PAS on the weekend on a hub dyno.

Read back to the start of the thread - I congratulated you and said what a good effort it was. Im not doubting the power of your car - I was simply stating what a awesome effort HI PSI made from a 4 banger 2 Litre. What shits me is that one thread on HP figures can't get posted without someone stating that the dyno is shit, reads high, etc ...... Dan

Steve with all due respect - if you believe what you said above - then I can't see why you would put a thread in Forced Induction section stating the proud fact that one of your cars made 511hp???? Yes its a great effort - but maybe you should have said in your post that it made 511hp - but you feel thats not a true indication of the cars power?? Dan

  25. Sorry Paul I don't agree - i would put my money on a hub dyno reading more accurately than a roller dyno. And if it was reading a little high - then all figures for all cars are a little high - so Tristans would be to high as well???? What did Tristans make at SST during tuning??? Can't people just say "Top Effort" without having to make excuses or add there opinion. 588 was a top effort - no matter what fuel he used, how much the car was warmed up, etc ...... Dan
