  1. i'm just waiting for them to email me bank details so i can pay the entry.
  2. haha i was just getting the address. good meeting, i like the new venue
  3. I used Jason at Dent Vanish (0402 699 924) and was very happy with his work and prices.
  4. just thinking out aloud here but maybe we could try compulsory volunteering at 1 event if you want to compete for the championship? like what they do with wrx club track days
  5. are you good with IT/coding? I made the current deca autocalc spreadsheet for the last deca last year, it still needs a few tweaks which I will do before the next deca. the previous spreadsheet looked to be all manual sorting/scoring whereas now it's all coded and formula based but still the time killer is manually entering in 600 times for people. i'm not in IT (I did mech eng) so my coding is below average and i'm sure there's more that i could do with it. basically next thing i want to do is auto timing or something using iphone/android or anything that lets you enter the car number and start timing on a phone/laptop which would automatically log the times to a file that can be put into the spreadsheet. other than that, the only thing i can think of that will help save time is adding some code to the spreadsheet to automatically generate all the scrutineering forms for each entrant (assuming that's still done manually).
  6. i still haven't battled you at deca Kez... maybe next time?
  7. another great deca i really liked the MK layouts. can't really slide around like some of the turbo cars but the handbrake was getting a good workout. thanks to the organisers and the officials who helped out
  8. thanks for the pics martin and katie final times are up now: http://wrx.com.au/ms/WRXResultsBryantparkFeb132011.pdf
  9. had a great time, thanks to all who organised this. ended up with a 64.60 which is 4 or 5 secs better than i did last year and the car is the same so was pretty happy with that. still alot more to learn about that track, i kept trying new things every run and still not sure where i should be on the track in some places. getting Mark in the 944 to be a passenger was very helpful, took about 1 sec off my time straight after that. martin, i am in standard rwd but i think there should be an NA class
  10. anyone know if gopro cameras with suction mount are ok for events like HH? cya tomorrow.
  11. oh yeah, i mean sunday i'm in SE suburbs so i was actually thinking the kfc/maccas/bp on the monash fwy outbound after you pass south gippsland fwy exit I think.
  12. anyone meeting up on saturday morning? i got lost last time so wouldn't mind tagging along with someone from a meeting point (maybe BP/KFC/maccas on the FWY)
  13. I'll second wayne for president. i'm also happy to help out wherever needed. still working on that deca results thing so will chat to ryan/martin/leon at next meeting.
  14. just submitted my entry, cya there
  15. sorry everyone, Ryan and Leon had finished the results a few days ago and emailed them to me to look over. My phone stopped getting emails so I didn't know about it until this morning as I was busy playing GT5... The results are all done now and have emailed them back to Ryan for hosting.
  16. another great deca and i had a front row seat and got to watch everything from up close. hopefully we can get some more volunteers next time. you can learn a lot by watching all the cars from up close, seeing how the faster drivers do it. plus free food and drinks.
  17. i'll be there too
  18. speak to Ben from J-Spec imports if you are interested in bringing in a Z32. He was one of the guys who started the aus300zx forums so he knows them pretty well. as already posted, '98-'00 can't be imported (besides private imports) but there are a few in the country already but you rarely see them coming up for sale. there are a few '95 TTs for about 15-16k at the moment on carsales and there aren't too many differences that I can think of between the '95 and '97 model.
  19. i'll be coming up as a volunteer and will see if i can drag some mates along to help. i will have the results stuff ready for you by the next SAU meeting (tuesday 16th?) so will show you what i've done. haven't had time to work on it due to exams but it is pretty close now.
  20. thanks to organisers and sponsors for another great DECA event, looking forward to november.
