I forgot I also have a set of series 1 chrome hot plate tail lights and new Skyline and GT badges for it too. I've been keeping them off until it's painted.

Hi all, I've been lurking around SAU for a long time now. I first joined to get info on RB engines as I have a 26 going into my 240z. Recently I brought a c210 coupe though and here is it's story. Picked it up from Adelaide in 2010 and drove it home with a mate. Here's the trip. A little hard to read but it says 2015km, average speed 104km/h, max speed 157km/h, total time 20h33m. My GPS doesn't keep track when the ignition is off though, actual total was 25 hours as we stopped at a motel for 4 hours. Not a bad effort from Adelaide to Ipswich QLD. Here it is when she arrived. It had some exhaust leaks from broken studs and a few holes so I fitted new studs and put on a 240z exhaust manifold and front half of the piping. The 240z one is a 6-2-1 system with long secondaries, nothing special but definitely better than the original log. The carby was stuffed so I put on these twins from my 240z. They are the original early round top 3 bolt style for anyone knowledgeable on zeds. This was also part of the reason I put the zed exhaust on too as the original Skyline one has the inlet and exhaust manifolds joined in the middle. You can't really use one without the other. I had them rebuilt and got some sock filters because they look cool. The plan was to leave it as is and use it as a second car until after the zed is finished and do mild street build then. But as fate would have it this happened and changed all that. A guy pulled out onto a roundabout in front of me. Now as I have to repair it and paint it I have bought some of it's plans forward. It will receive a respray and a colour change. I have a set of ZG bolt on flares that are not wide enough for the zed that will be used on the Skyline. Of course with flares some new wheels will be needed. I have a set of 17x9.5 -19 Rota rb-r's that the zed may donate to the Skyline as a little get well soon present. This is not my zed btw. They look like 45 or 50 series though, here are some 235 40 series. and some 255 40 series, I think I would go 235/40/17 if I went 17's. I feel they are too pretty for the zed but I'm not sure about the size on the Skyline. The 9.5 part fits fine (with flares), but 17's will need 40 series tires to look right I think, and even then I don't want it looking too modern. If I decide against these then I'll be looking at 15x9's. These look good for the price. Rota Shakotan's in 15x9 -10. Post your vote for what wheel and in what size you would like to see me go with. Budget for wheels is around $1000. Other than that if funds allow then I would like to throw on some s13 coilovers, disc brake rear and later model brakes on the front to suit the s13 knuckles. If I go with 17's I have a full set of z32 300zx brakes here. If I go 15's I'll go r31 rear and s15 2 pots up front. I have a 2 way Tomei lsd and 4.875 diff for it too. Here is some of my inspiration.

Sounds good. I'll start a build thread.

Oh, I took it to Westside on Turley st today. He seemed optimistic enough that it could possibly be repaired. His estimate was within my expectations too, so looking good so far. I've had my wheels painted by Westside a while ago and they turned out awesome. Maybe a little pricey but it was a top notch job. I took a set of Rota RB-R 17x9.5's (for my zed) and said 'can I get the centers painted dark charcoal please?' and out he came with folders full of dark charcoal paint chips. I chose a colour that was something like 'HSV Phantom metallic with white pearl' or something pretty close to that name anyway. Whatever it was it's a really nice low metallic dark charcoal, perfect for a set of wheels. Cost $550. At the time my zed was destined for the street, that has changed now though. It will never see the street now. Otherwise I would have just painted them myself for the track. Jason, when she's back on the road I'll have to bring my skyline around to meet her sister.

I haven't thrown it out yet. Do you recommend someone around here to take it too?

I am still in need of a left hand guard for my c210. Any help would be appreciated. I am in QLD but I will pay postage from interstate. I don't mind if it has some rust. I had one organised but the seller has decided not to sell. I have all the other parts I need, thank you hcg210.

Try to keep it as close to the tank or surge tank as possible, they like to push not suck. And preferably at the same level as the bottom of the tank.

I don't think there is a better pump for the job than an 044. Get it.

and be prepared to spend $$$ I've got a set that I wouldn't let go for 10 times what I paid, and I paid a lot. Last time I looked they were going for around $600 plus shipping, taxes and any commissions. But as they are only getting rarer, the price is only going up. There's none on Yahoo Japan at the moment. But good luck and what are they going into? Sedan or coupe?

I saw a green c210 coupe turn into Dinmore last week, so I think so. Looked in very nice condition from what I saw.

Ben at Otomoto sells Watanabes. By the time you get a set 2nd hand on IM and ship them here, you'd be paying close to new price.

Hi Rick, Looks like you have a spare LH headlight assembly now. And you're after a gear knob. As I'm not concerned with originality, we may be able work something out where I get a LH headlight assembly and you get a gear knob. With a bit of cash your way of course. Let me know if you're interested.

Hey Rick, I would definitely be interested in knowing what you've got. I am especially after chrome bits, grills, headlights, trim, glass, bumpers and anything exterior really. Could be interested in other bits too though. Thanks. Mario helped me out with some parts, thanks Mario, but I would still be interested in more.

Otomoto can get C210 parts. Have a look in the Otomoto section on Viczcar You can also use a generic style bolt on flare like the 240z ZG style flare. Here's a set from JustJap and fleabay

Spotted: Rare Skyline Parts For Sale
rb26zed replied to D-limo's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Rick, I've got a pair that look the same, they are a little flexible so not hard plastic like the originals and stick on, so they don't use the holes in your panel. I got a complete set including red GT badges for a hell of a lot less than these though. I think they were about $30 inc post from UK. For that price I would expect them to be either genuine or identical reproductions. I could be wrong but they look identical to mine. Oops sorry, just had a look at them on a bigger screen and they do have the little tabs for your original holes. These are not like mine. They do look like reproductions of the originals. I've seen them for more $$$ than these though so these are probably not a bad price. I'm happy with my $30 cheapies though. -
Thanks guys, I don't know how you haven't seen me around either Jason, I lived in Silkstone and drove through Dinmore everyday, but I live in Redbank Plains now. I have seen your car around a fair while ago, maybe a year or two. Yeah Mario I only need the LH guard, but any other parts I could get would make it cheaper and I could always use spares of anything for a rainy day. I looked into getting the bumper repaired and it's pricey, but probably what I'll have to do. The radiator support panel is just bent on the "wing" so shouldn't be to difficult to fix. The headlights are fine, it's just the surround and that strip underneath the grill and headlights that's damaged. The grill appears ok. I have spares of these though but would definitely buy more if they came up. Oh yes the bumper end rubber is missing too, so one of them would be appreciated. Socrates from Perth has offered me a guard, thanks mate. Getting one from someone closer would be nice but I'll take what I can get really. I expect his insurance company will write it off for between $1000 and $1500, so anything I can do to cut the costs will be good. Parts I need are; LH guard Bumper end rubber LH Chrome trim on front of guard Parts I'd like are; Bonnet (not rusted out under chrome trim) very unlikely Headlights, Surrounds and Grill assembly Bumper Any front end parts really I'm always on the lookout for c210 parts so if you have anything you want to get rid of that's c210 related don't hesitate to contact me.

I was driving home today and got hit on a roundabout by a guy not watching what he was doing. He hit me in the front left totally destroying the front left guard but luckily not doing too much other damage. Parts I need are LH front guard, LH headlight surround and front bumper. Would also like a bonnet but it's not critical. Any help would be appreciated. I live in Ipswich, QLD, call or text me on 0401598047 or PM or reply here

Hi all, I have a near comnplete R30 sedan for sale either whole or for parts. I'll be keeping the rear cradle and diff etc. Car is complete and driving at the moment. I'll be pulling the parts out I want over the next few weeks and using them to repair/upgrade my C210. I would like to get rid of it fairly soon after. So if anyone wants the whole thing minus what I keep and pick it up themselves they can have it for free. If no one wants it complete then it will be parted out. I'm not looking to make money from it so if you come and take the parts off yourself you can have most of them for free. Anything I have to remove and/or post I will charge mostly based on how much time and trouble I need to spend doing it. I am pretty busy so would much prefer you take the parts off yourself hence why it will be free if you do so. I can't keep the car long and it will be scrapped around mid January regardless of what is left. The car is/was blue-silver and is in ok condition. Paint is very faded and flakey. Panels are decent with no rust that I have seen. Interior is fairly good. Engine runs well. Only noticable leaks were a couple of injectors leaking fuel. Call or msg 0401 598 047 or contact me through this forum. Terry,

Realism and graphics are what ruin FPS. COD4 was and probably always will be the best FPS and it had absolutely no realism and terrible graphics. A good FPS needs 2 things above all else, a good engine, so you move fluently and freely, and BALANCE. Balance is probably the most overlooked. COD4 had reasonable balance (yes it could have been improved), MW2 and BOPS don't. With enhanced graphics and realism inherintly comes detailed maps and backgrounds which inturn bring camping. When weapons are made to be more realistic the game becomes unbalanced. An example of balance is someone of any playing style should be able to find a weapon class that suits them and be competitive to the point of their skill level with no weopon class or playing style having an overall advantage over any other. The most skilled player ie: the winner, should be the one who can adapt and excel at any playing style or weapon class required. The single player on COD is a waste of disc space really and is certainly not what drives it's record pre-orders. The multiplayer is what sells it and keeps bringing people back. Bottom line is BF and COD are 2 very different games that don't appeal to the same people. BF is for strategists, in COD we refer to them as campers. I'll be buying MW3 and probably won't even glance at BF on the shelf on my way out the store.

No, just a little irritated at the amount of time I spend combing through threads filled with your useless trolls trying to find useful posts.

Just curious Zebra, You do know there are Toyota, Mitsubishi and even Ford forums, hey? So if you hate Nissans so much, why do you spend so much time on a Skyline forum?
