  2. FYI, Mates workshop was compliencing that car. Forgot the name of the workshop but its in the Fivedock (sydney) area. Apparently the owner paid around $250k for it. The owner also instructed the workshop not to take any photos.
  3. Thanks. Hopefully it sells soon, otherwise I'll have to put it in storage for couple of months.

  5. Nice car man! I am tossing between stripping the spoiler on my one also. I've seen a few R34s (all non white), it just didnt look right without the wing.... Umm guess it gives me something to do tomorrow.
  6. Thanks for all the feed backs guys, appreciate it!
  7. Hi Guys, Just clearing out my garage. I need to sell these rims to make space. I used to have these on my ford but have put the ford back to standard since I got the R34. Rim Make: 20inch Lenso LDRs Will fit Nissan, Mazda, Ford, Holden 5 stud pattern Tires : Nitto Extreme ZR 225/35/20 (80-85% thread left...maybe even more) Price: $1800 PRICE REDUCED!! I will throw in custom spacers for free if its a R34 (Paid $330) Contact: Nav Mobile: 0433 550 690 Email: [email protected] (P.S Dont mistake LENSO LDR with REX 106. Lenso's have much deeper dish and the dish curves in-wards and look much nicer....if you know what I mean.
  8. Thanks guys, the tires were expensive but I got offered a real good deal. Car hardly ever gets driven so at this rate it will be couple of years before the tires are due for replacement
  9. For guys who are getting over 400+ km, I presume you are babying the car most of the time? I would be lucky to break into the 300km, guess that’s the down side when you drive your car once a fortnight. Mind you, I do remember getting over 400+KM when the R34 was stock as a rock. The pod and exhaust threw the fuel figures out the window. Would love to see what happens once the turbo, cooler, injectors and pump gets done ))
  10. Just like everyone said, 98oct would be ideal but if you are a real tightass, 92/95oct would be fine if you dont thrash your car. Thrashing your R34 on 92/95, your motor will ping its head off and eventually couple of cylinders (if you are lucky enough ) will come flying out from your block. I know a few guys that were using 92/95oct in their rexies, skylines and 200s due to the high fuel prices couple of months ago, most of these boys were driving in excess of 100km per day so saving every cent mattered.
  11. Softer compounds will also generate shitloads of dust for your rims. Sometimes shit (such as tiny stones etc) get in between your rotors and pads which will also generate noise, just give it a quick clean with a big pressure hose or something. It helped on my brothers rexie.
  12. Thanks guys! The front was lowered 2.5inches and rears 3inches. For the front I had to go 30series as anything more wouldn’t fit, rears are 35 series but considering changing over to 30series....ride is perfect and no scrubbing what so ever. I had 20inch chromes on it before , which didn’t suit it due to the colour. Plus black on white looks tuff and its quite a contrasting colour combination ! . This was my pervious ride
  13. Hi Guys, Just thought I would post updated pics of my R34. Still have a long way to go....
  14. $700 is too expensive. Even a aftermarket computer tune up shouldnt cost that much. Ring up Adam from JEM (www.jem.com.au) His pretty good, I've used him only once before when I first got my R34 (Workshops such as Pac, Pro Form etc use him)
  15. It can be anything. As Sambo33 said, black smoke is usually fuel. My 34 was perfect with factory nismo exhaust but as soon as I replaced it with Xforce exhaust (plus pod)....under full acceleration only black smoke gets produced. Anything after market will confuse the computer...with after market exhaust and pod more fuel is getting dumped to compensate for the power gain...so as a result more smoke. My 180, R33 and Rexie all did that as soon as I started changing things on them but never had any problem what so ever.
  16. I only recently starting playing with fibre glass when I restored my boat so I guess I am not too bad. A mate of mine today told me that "WestSide Mufflers/Exhaust?" near bankstown actually sell premade airbox for pod setups so I might check that out before doing anything else. The price was reasonable too...I think it was about the $80 mark.
  17. hi Sl!m, I havent been defected. I am not worried about getting defected, to be honest with you...if the defect fine for having a pod was well over $500 I wouldnt care less but losing points is what worries me. I am on a limited amount of points atm so thats my major concern. I search RTA and SAU, RTA said nothing about a fine and SAU basically talked about a defect fine. From what I was told at the Toyo Drags, this thing only came in recently and the group of guys I was sitting with all agreeded when one of the guys outlined that defects will cost u points now. I was hoping to find something on RTA which actually outlined that having a pod is a defect and wont cost u a demerit point.
  18. LoL I was seriously considering that yesterday but I dont wanna lose the spooling sound.
  19. PPL FFS! I freaking searched both sites alright. Reason I made this post is because I am paranoid about losing any points, I have 2 more months to go before I get all my points back so I dont want to risk it. Plz note, one of the guys I spoke to about this was telling me how he LOST his 3 points cos of the pod defect and now he only has 1 point left etc etc. So the first thing I did was search RTA and SAU was second. I dont give 2 toss about the fine as long as I dont lose any points.
  20. DIF, I did use RTA search and yes I did find that. That is the REASON why I made this post to clear things up.
  21. Hey Guys, I am sorry if this is a repeat post but I did not find any info through "Search". Last weekend I went to the Toyo Drag meet (which was freaking fantastic) and I was told by few of the guys there that having a pod air filter now will cost you 3 demerits points plus a defect (defect...I always knew about). I've checked the RTA site but couldn't any info on it. I was also told the same thing by a mate of mine so now I dont know what to think. Does anyone know anything about this? Regards Nav
  22. Well there’s a SRS tag attached on both sides of the seats and Side Impact Airbag stickers when you open the drivers side and passenger door. In the beginning I thought that bags were installed on the center pillar but couldn’t find any opening so I figured that maybe it was taken out during compliance. Then only recently one of my mates pointed out that side impact bags are mounted inside the seats. U can feel this round circle thing inside the side of the seat. He also showed me a Maxima which had it side bags deployed….I kind of freaked out when I saw how the bags get deployed…..it basically rips the side stitching of the seat before coming out.
  23. I agree newer is not always better but in 9 out of 10 times it is. A R34 modded with the right kit will look hotter then a 33 on any day of the week and no i am not saying this because I own a 34. I was never a Skyline fan....loved it for being a nissan but that was it. I used to be a 180sx/Silva fan but when the time to get something new I did my research and usual investigation and decided the 34 was a much better choice when compared to the 33 & 32. My 2 cents
  24. Most of my mates are 33 nuts but if I compare my 34 against theirs....the 34 feels like a much newer car (which it is I guess). Plus I like the cockpit like feel in the 34...the 33 has a nice dash layout but it feels like a updated version of a 180SX dash. And plus when you behind the wheel of a 34...you know you are in something special .
