n15m0 - They arrived about 7days after the auction and look fantastic, no dodgy weave, lots of laquer etc.

I found going to 235/265 like Abo Bob said had a good affect on my speedo as it's now exactly right even at 260+kph (compared to GPS) as the oversized tyre takes out the speedos over-reading error (saying 170 when you're only doing 165kph etc).

It's a hong kong lad who sells them, heres the ebay link for you http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WDVW Worked out about AUS$100 for mine!

Both Autos AND Manuals can stall with atmos BOV's, if you get lucky then your car will be fine but 85% of owners will have stalling problems (I didn't but I hated the "Jerkiness" when it dumped - can't explain really, just prefer re-circ now)

I've just got some CF ones from ebay which are very similar to those Yellow ones.

The correct size will be 225/40-18 If the width doesn't change (ie 225 wide) then for every 1 inch bigger take 5% off the profile % (ie 45 to 40) Try it on this Tyre size calculator to see for yourself - http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Hope that helps........................................IAnH

There's one on the drivers side by his feet but it's a tight fit as it already has some cables there. If you've got some heavy duty gauge cable (2 or 4) then you might have to cut your own hole.

The GTR FMIC pipe run is different to the GTT's. We've had to move the battery to the boot and use a GTST washer bottle so we can run the I/C pipe to the GTR plenum. I'm still using the stock GTR re-circs at 1bar but I'm thinking of a single HKS SSQV although I didn't like the sound that much when I had one on my GTT. My conversion is almost done (should have picked it up the weekend but got a week delay now) so I'll get some pictures up for you then. Cheers.............................................IanH

They're top feed and thinner too. All the GTT powerFC readings (with standard injectors) I've seen (about 5-10) show 95-100% duty at around 320/330 fly hp (200rwkw roughly) which means about a 330-350cc injector. I've only seen 1 set flow tested and they made 380cc with an uprated FPR.

You could consider Greddys E-Manage for your Auto. There's a few GTT's in the UK running them (1 has a 2530/FMIC etc and is running200-210rwkw I think). Costs around $2k to get everything done at UK prices (not sure if stuffs cheaper for you guys).

I'm doing it on a Manual GTT. Including labour and the following bit's it's been around $13,000 R33 GTR Engine inc Turbos Tomei Poncams 260' in & 252' ex Camshafts (Type A kit) Denso 550cc Injectors Apexi Power Intake GTR kit HKS Downpipes Apexi PowerFC 2x Z32 AFM's New R33GTR clutch to take the power

Hiya Shonen - Thanks for the praise! My mates 2835 fitted fine, he just had some of the standard pipes replaced (AFM-Turbo & turbo to FMIC etc)

Reccomendations for modifying a stock r34 GTT
IanH replied to Edstrodamous's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
For more power - 1 - Full turbo back exhaust 2 - Better turbo (either stocker re-cored or HKS etc) turnedwith a Z32 AFM 3 - Fueling (pump & injectors) and PowerFC to map the new stuff 4 - Cooling (FMIC/Oil Cooler/Radiator) 5 - Clutch (stock R33GTR one can be used) But I'd add better suspension and brakes TBH as well. -
Had a TD05-18g on my GTT and it started to run out of puff by 230rwkw @ 1.2bar (17.5psi roughly) Go with the 2835, got a mate with one on a GTT and it makes the same rwkw with lots to spare. He had some custom pipe work made though to get his turbo to fit.

Best fit tyre size for GTT
IanH replied to zymotic's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ECL - Do you have any Traction contol problems (TCS) or do you turn it off? I had 235/40-18 front and 255/35-18 rear and the TCS could see that there was 1inch difference in Circumfrence and activated the TCS over 80mph I changed the rears to 265/35-18 and solved the problem (1/3rd of an inch difference which the TCS can't see). info from - http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html -
AFM has stopped working? (had this problem on a mates GTiR)
-
235/40-18 Front & 265/35-18 Rear both running 32psi Cold (and with an OK geometry setup - could be better as I would like some decent camber adjusters). Works well for me.
-
How's this doing now Dan, I think the sensor is Lost in the Mail somewhere if it ain't turned up yet Hope you get it all running shortly!
-
Here's the correct camber/tracking details for a GTT. Mine had twice angle it should have (after lowering) but there is an offset adjuster built in to the standard suspenion (rears only) so you can alter it back to normal. http://www.r34gtt.net/r34tracking.jpg

Set up a HKS EVC4 on a RNN14 (pulsar) and it was a very easy unit to use, setup and fit but it looks "old" now. Same again with an AVC-R (on the same car after he sold the EVC4). Lots of trouble with spiking boost, ECU wiring etc. In the end he sold it on and went back to HKS but got the newer EVC5 which was fantastic (but expensive). I have an SBC-ID3 on my GTT and ran it at 17.5psi (1.2bar) on a TD05-18g and it held boost really well (no spiking) until 6000rpm when it died off to 13psi (1bar). Most likely the turbo was the cause but I never got around to finding out why it'd happened before I broke my engine (lost oil cooler hose at 80mph - 130kph) I'll definately have the ID3 again in any turbo car I'll have (or the EVC5).

Aftermarket intake plenum for R34 GTT?
IanH replied to Downforce's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Would the GReddy Plenum for the R33GTST work (fitting?) I sure they would but you'd lose the TCS. -
Power FC - R32/R33 are the same.
-
It's a sparkplug in the exhaust and some PowerFC tweaking (they're not that big when I drive, only 6ft! )

After having a bit of a chat on skylineowners.com about not seeing my car in ages I had a look back through all the videos & pictures that I've ever had of it and decided to make a compilation of them all which should get me through the next few months! It's not quite to the quality of a certain Mr Spielberg but for Windows Movie maker I'm well chuffed 3mb sized - Not heard this song done this well in ages and Had to use it! Enjoy..............................................IAnH
