Datalogit won't do a GTT version for a long time yet due to lack of interest!
-
I've got it as a .PDF file www.r34gtt.net/R34GTT-Brochure.pdf

I'm running 400bhp (266kw) at the flywheel on my GTT and the 1st thing I had to change was the Turbo as it can't make high bhp/kw figures. My Car is similar to Franks and has the following done Trust TD05-18G Turbo FMIC Blitz SBC-iD @ 1.2bar (17.5psi) Bigger injectors/pump head gasket PowerFC GTR clutch and brakes Oil Cooler There's a lot of other bits but thats the main power increase stuff. 250rwkw is about the maximum a standard RB25DET block could take and you should really think about a bottom end rebuild. It should be a fantastic car when it's done!

r34s running 1.0 bar and up...minor setback
IanH replied to toby19's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I'm running 1.2bar (new turbo) and not getting that problem (although it's little bit colder here!). I'm looking for a hard pipe kit tho' as I don't want it too happen. -
It's used because it doesn't expand much when heated. A normal aircraft will land at around 150-200mph and then brake quite hard which causes a hell of a lot of heat near the tyres which won't expand if filled with nitrogen.

It's on the High Octane 2 video. Reese's 800bhp R33 GTR Vs Hayabusi, bike wins by a few 10ths with a time of 10.something seconds (can't remember now, will have to watch it to find out)

Hiya mate, I've got a Black GTT with a Blitz Nur Spec exhaust It sounds great, it's very loud but can get a bit "droney" on long motorway drives. However, let her rip and the sound is awesome. The only thing louder was a 1000bhp HKS Drag exhaust (only 1 very small silencer). I've also noticed that it's got a really small exit when compared to other makes?

I'm in the RAF, been on ops in Kosovo, Sierra Lione, Afghanistan and Iraq with various unit's. Worn body armour for most of them and we wear it when we're on guard.

Yes, you could shoot a bullet at it, and it'd go straight through! Most kevlar vests (stab/pistol proof) are made from quite a few layers of kevlar fabric which isn't hardened (unlike the bonnets etc). This allows the round to be "caught" by the kevlar and stopped that way (it still hurts like hell but you'll live). If you want to stop a high power round then a plate of steel or ceramic is used. Geeky answer I know but I wear one often (goes with the job).

They're the opposite of the GTR ones but I can't remember which they are (I think it's high) the only upgrade I could find (from any maker) was the Nismo 480cc ones, but if you alter the resistor pack then you could fit GTR ones I suppose.
-
Oops my mistake, I got confused when mine turned up and I thought they were side feed, oops  My Top Feed Side feed
-
666DAN - Our GTT's (RB25DET) use side feed Injectors, not top feed (see Here) and, at the moment, I can only find one injector upgrade (Nismo 480cc) because they're some kind of special plastic version and therefore R33 ones won't work! (unless you change the fuel rail and/or the resistor packs) PS Here's a piccy of an RB20'd R34

R34 - Getting all 4 rear lights working as brake lights?
IanH replied to IanH's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thats what I want to do but there's a size difference between the inner (smaller)/outer (larger) bulb holders and you can't get 21w/5w bulbs small enough to fit the smaller inner holder...................Bugger!! Oh and you can't buy small enough 3 pin bulb holders in the whole of the UK by the looks of it, everyone I asked just shrugged their shoulders! I've bought a big bulb holder (outer sized) and I'm thinking of cutting a new hole in the back of the inners and putting in there, wired up as 666DAN suggested. Pekatu - There's no 21w line to the inners to cut. On R34's there is only a 5w wire to a 5w bulb, nothing else. Otherwise It'd be fairly easy. Cheers.....................................IANH -
Hiya all, I've never noticed it before but when my car is braking only the two outer rear lights come on and I'd like all 4 to. I've seen other R34's which have all 4 light up so it can be done but I need to know how. I'm not using the two inners as fog lights so thats not a problem. I've had the lights apart and have found the following - Inner lights - 2 x 5w bulbs (1 in each half) with 5w and earth to each. Outer - A Single bulb with both 21w & 5w Filament (bulb holder has 3 wires, 21w, 5w and earth) Can anyone help me (I'm an aircraft electrian so crimping etc shouldn't be a problem)? Here's a quick Circuit diagram if anyone wants to have a go Here's an acutal pitcure of what I'm facing (the indicator is the tan looking bulb holder) Cheers peeps.........................................................IanH

Hiya Adzmax - They can be mapped on a H/C but it's limited in it's options and only shows you a small part of the overall map (3d picture of your cars fueling etc). A Laptop is the best way to map a PFC as you get the whole map, more options and is easier to use if you've changed injectors or fuel pump. I'm not the expert on PFC mapping, this is what I've been told by several tuners in the UK. This is why I've had trouble getting my GTT PFC mapped. PS Having a black GTT like yours I can REALLY recommend nismo clear front & side winkers (indicators or whatever you call them). They look great. Have a look at my website to see my GTT with them on.

Hiya all, I've being chatting to Franks about his GTT and he's had his PFC mapped by the Hand Controller, so it seems that no-one has managed to get one done on a laptop, Bugger
-
Adzmax - If you go for the PowerFC then here are a few things to think about 1) The GTT uses a different version of the Hand Controller (N001) than any other Skyline (X001) which means that most tuners can only map it with the H/C and NOT a laptop (for better mapping the laptop is essential as if opens more options and displays more stuff) 2) The only company who can produce a GTT adaptor and software is FC-Datalogic but they need a GTT PowerFC to work with 1st as they haven't done one before. I've just found all this out after buying my stuff, which I now can't use properly. Cheers..............................................................IAnH
-
Thanks SydneyKid - The GTT needs the N001 Commander and I was sent the X001 so I'll have to change that anyway. Even with the right Commander there is still no-way to connect a laptop (and Commander won't be as good). I'm in contact with Datalogit about a GTT version so I'll let you know later how that goes. Cheers anyway.....................................................IanH

Hiya, I've just found out that no-one in England can map a PowerFC for a R34 GTT because no-one has the right "lead" to connect it to a laptop (they can map GTR's but the GTT use's a different FC Commander version and needs a new lead to communicate with the laptop) and can only use the FC Commander which isn't ideal. Is there anyone who can get me a lead or tell me where to find one as I assume that your tuners have the right leads as they can map your GTT's. Any help is greatly appreciated and you'll be able to help map the 1st GTT in the UK! Cheers......................................................IanH

Hiya, I just opened my boost controller box and found that the instructions are in Japanese, does anyone know where there is an English version (I've tried Blitz Japan/USA & UK - no luck)? Cheers...................................................IanH
-
I've only just bought some stuff from them, didn't get a confirmation e-mail so e-mailed them and got a reply within hours saying everythings ok. Nothing said about anyone being ill? However, I'm in England so probably use a different rep.

Hiya Folks, I've finally got around to updating my website with a R34 GTT F.A.Q section & gallery (links page still being worked on at the moment as there's 23+ different websites with GTT info on them). If anyone has any suggestions about it then can you let me know please as I'd like it to be one of the best place's for a GTT newbie to find any info they need. Click on the link at the bottom to view, Cheers.......................................IanH

Hiya, my R34 GTT owners manual arrived in the post today WooHoo!...........it's in Japanese......Doh! Has any got (or knows where to get) an english version please? and is it worth getting one, i.e. is there any really important info that I Need to know in the manual?

Hiya, I'm thinking of upgrading my brakes but need to know what Size the standard ones are on a GTT, can anyone help?
-
Hiya, I live in the UK and have just imported a R34 GTT and found that, because there isn't many of them here, I can't find much specialist information about them. However this forum has been a great help to me so far but one question I can't find an answer to is whats the widest tyre size you can fit, front and rear, on a standard 17" alloy (225/45 fitted as standard) before you get rubbing? Cheers.............IanH
