It wasnt more about the extensive rebuild..it was more of the fact of those things that just seem to pop up on engine replacements... if you use most of your money up from the engine etc.. doesnt leave a lot for the unknown. I also got quoted ( wholesale price that is) full forged components ( ACL ) rods///bearings//gasket + the build + bullet proofing + port n polish on a SR20 for 2000.. 1000 for parts..1000 for labour. So you can get good deals.. if i was him i would just like to have some money on theback burner just in case things pop up. Some dude at east coast customs has spent over 15,000 on a 180sx and its STILL off the road due to the ECU being dodgy. (incorrect wiring made ecu go boom boom) just giving a heads up of what i have seen.
