  1. That blue oil filler cap is just the sex.
  2. if thats where it is then thats where it is.BnR will be as cold as a witches tit both literally and reception wise.
  3. I do recall the boat chase in "puppet" Terry. It was well worth the watch. The movie I am referring to was lauded for its chase scene well beyond the actual movie use by date but fell off the chain somewhere in the 80's when car chase movies becme the norm. I'll keep looking.
  4. many years ago I saw a black nd white movie with a car chase through a euro city rome or paris or who knows. Very vague here but the cars were possibly a peugot and a fiat or similar. At the time it was coined as the father of modern car chase movies and the driving was incredible. No special effects or gimmicks just raw talent steering through some of the tightest strteets you could imagine. I hav been trying for years to get a handle on it but cant find it any where. Any old fogies here remember it ?......Terry
  5. I took my briggs and stratton lawnmower to ERD and now it will only cut the neighbours grass. Shit job is shit.
  6. I use a ross tuffbond with no issues. Daniel put mine together and from memory he rams the crap out of them with a rattle gun, and I mean RAMS the crap out of them..
  7. Find an experienced ethanol tuner and take advice from him. Most good tuners have a databank of customers using e85 and have a good knowledge of what works on individual setups. I chose my tuner based on his experience with alcohol based fuels, That and my engine builder trusts him and him alone to tune his builds. Its a great feeling knowing you have someone you can trust dialling the numbers in to your hard earned outlay.
  8. Get a new tuner. I have run the stuff for over a year now both summer and winter blends. If your tuner is tuning your engine to the edge of destruction to the point that a minor variance in ethanol content will harm your engine he's doin it wrong. Either that or he's trying to sell you drums of e 85
  9. Nation wide from what I can glean. The plant is definitely under construction as we speak. A friend has a supply contract for parts for the new truck fleet delivering cane to the plant when it opens.
  10. You need to get out more.Caltex goodna caltex springfield caltex yamanto Caltex goldcoast (suburb escapes me) Caltex upper m Gravatt All carry Eflex. I fill up at the yamanto outlet regularly and have used most of the others. Plans are underway for a major increase in outlets, A new plant is being built in north qld right now. Once completed you will see a major increase in the number of outlets.
  11. Wouldnt that be considered social climbing in Korea Marcus?
  12. Stop it Dale, you already know the answer. I dont give a tinkers toss if garret originally made the 37/88 for a briggs and stratton lawnmower, It owns the 35r in every department. Most importantly in longegivity, Stop thinking man, It weakens the team.
  13. You forgot to mention you used to be an 80 lb dystrophic weakling who got sand kicked in your face at the beach until you went to ERD, Now you look like Arnie.
  14. you hit the stageing lane with space savers and you will go out backwards far quicker than you were going to go forward. Its a big no.
  15. Tune in winter when the pulp content is higher, Not that it makes any differece unless your tuner is taking your setup to the ragged edge, My setup was done in winter then rechecked a couple of times in summer , no issues what soever. Once you have used e85 you will never go back. The car runs so much better and engine temps are noticeably cooler. Good stuff!
  16. Plenty if reliability is of any concern to you.
  17. To the op the answer is a simple yes. A 33 is a brilliant turbo car. Pound for pound I doubt you could match it. The engine, drivetrain, suspension and brake combo was/is far superior to the 32 and the interior particlarly in the series 2 looks very modern compared to its predecessor. body styling is subjective and very much to personal taste. I certainly wouldnt be influenced by comments from anybody (other than my wife) simply because I buy my cars for me. There are still plenty of good examples of the 33 around if you're prepared to wait for the right one. Be prepared to pay that bit extra for a good one rather than a cheap rape victim and you wont regret it. A few simple mods can enhance the driving experience to no end, A decent front mount and a boost upgrade Is all required to add a fair bit of spirit to the drive. Throw in a set of sway bars, lower it slightly , add a decent wheel/tyre combo and you have a well rounded very easy to live with package. As for the 3 shapes in question I prefer the 33 over the 32 or 34 but that is as I said a personal thing. Any of the gtr's look great because of their phatness, Its the gtst/tt's that cause the most conjecture in the looks department. Too many times I have looked in the rearview mirror thinking an early model ford laser was following me when it fact it was a 32. The 34 reminds me of a pencil, its just too narrow looking to my eye. They are all skylines and all have their advantages but I prefer the 33. You like chocolate I like vanilla. Enjoy your icecream any flavour you like.
  18. Having owned (until recently) a bone stock gtst and currently a stock suspension wise gtr IMO the gtst wins hands down in the handling department. Both vehicles had/have rubber upgrades only, With the gtst it was a simple matter to dial the understeer out on tyre pressure alone. a couple of pound difference was all required to turn the handling to neutral verging on slight oversteer (ideal imo) The gtr is a freakin plough in comparison, No amount of playing with pressure has any effect whatsoever. It would take some handy spenshun mods to get the gtr to turn in like the gtst. Wet roads are a whole nutha ballgame, the gtr owns the road on a wet track. Both cars are great to drive in their own way but the gtst is far more nimble and agile up to a point than the gtr as a street driven daily. The VCT also makes it a more responsive package to boot. My black ERD gtst is a good example of a highly modded gtst, it gives nothing away to gtr's of a similar ilk, Some are faster some arent, (I aint sennaesque in my driving ability) I still rate a 33 gtst very highly as a user friendly tuneable all round package. . .
