I dunno, I guess i viewed this day different to some peeps. I went there to see some fine lines and hang with liners. What happenned at the dyno was simply the medium that gets people of a similar nature together. WTF do you want for 40 bucks. Heck it was worth more than that just for the entertainment value alone. And dont forget the free sausage sizzle lunch and cold drink to members. The day I am paying a tuner 100 to 200 clams an hour to tune my car I will be the most critical person on the planet but for days like this if you saw it as anything more than fun you were there for the wrong reason imo.

178 mark. basic mods. fmic. pipes from turbo back. apexi pod. 10 lb boost. Not a bad ground zero to start from. I saw some rides make plenty of ponies but I suspect they could be animals to drive. Plan is to finish up around the 250 rwkw mark with most of the power in a very useable range. Mod selection is gonna be the key and i am going to drive a lot of people nuts before i settle on what I want.

Just amzed at the dyno day yesterday as to how many lines (and others) cruised on by without the stones to stop and shoot the breeze with fellow liners. Are we ugly or diseased or, are they just plain chickenshit. There were a couple of nice cars among them too.

I think they overinflated your readout Col. My seat of the pants dyno reckons that yellow submarine of yours was only good for bout 78rwkw. On a more serious note, could some explain to the difference between "shootout mode" and other . cheers.

Thanx Dave. As i said, my reading was about where it was supposed to be so no gripes here. What i dont understand are those havin a cow about the lack of service. Like..WTF. the allstar crew worked their freakin arses off from go to whoa. I know if I were one of them I would be totally pissed if anyone shitcanned the effort of the day. No they are not my tuning shop but if I ever decide to change I will most definitely be giving them a call.

You need to check the dump pipe on that model, they have been known to leak a bit.

Bought a cheap aussia standard approved bash hat for the upcoming test n tune days and thought i might play along with the general theme of the geriatric wheelchair bound old codger some of the puppies have tagged me with. Dont know if any of you are old enuff to remember but there used to be a sticker around depicting a crazy old coot in a v8 wheelchair with his eyes bulgin out doin a burnout. Asked an airbrush artist what it would cost to have it airbrushed on the hat and just fell on my arse when he told me. Any body care to take a guess at the figure?
