Any body lookin for work, i need a laborer at springwood next week
-
so the car industry is going the way of so many other industrys in this country. Its about time too, Other than empathy for those who will be unemployed I for one am pleased that millions upon millions of our dollars will no longer be thrown at unsustainable business's such as ford and holden. Ford were always going to be the first to go based solely on a very poor marketing strategy coupled with an oppressive out of touch head office based in the us and a product lineup nobody wanted. Fords earlier demise will probably see holden hang around a bit longer than it should but ultimately it too will follow the same path. We simply can not compete in the manufacturing sector due to an overbearing big brother and unionistic mentality requiring employers and employees to jump through so many time consuming and costly hoops it is unrealistic to think we can compete with imports manufactured in countrys where a more realistic approach is applied to a basically unskilled work force. I havnt purchased a locally built product for more than 30 years simply because the value isnt there. Poor quality products at over inflated prices was always going to come undone at some stage. Get rid of them all and cut the tarrifs and taxes on imports so we can afford decent quality cars at working mans prices.

R33 Gtst Vs Ford Xr6 Turbo Bf Model
FineLine replied to adamss's topic in General Automotive Discussion
you need to come out to willowbank a bit more, I live 10 minutes from the strip and usually visit a test and tune at least once a week. Those heave tubs need a bit more than that to do what you claim. -
R33 Gtst Vs Ford Xr6 Turbo Bf Model
FineLine replied to adamss's topic in General Automotive Discussion
you blokes are dreaming, I ran high 12's with nothing more than a zorst a tboost and a safc. The old skyline with very minimal mods in the right hands can dust the ford no probs. Obviously the henry has potential for more power with the cubes but dont under estimate weight, the henry is some 3/400 kg heavier than the line. -
Nsw: R33/s14 Modified Lca
FineLine replied to Run-It-Hard's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I've used a set modified like this for 4 years now, Infinite camber adjustment and zero issues. -
if you're looking to mac these turbos out stay as far away from the 35r as you can. Even if the 35x performance isnt as good as a 35r I would still use it. The 35r uses a plastic bearing race as opposed to the 35x using steel. Between a friend and i we shat something like 8/9 35r's before we got to the root of the problem. For general street duty on moderate power and boost they are fine but if you lean on them for prolonged periods e.g. circuit work etc I wouldnt even consider one...ever Garret were about as helpful as a front pocket in the back of my sock when we tried to get to the root of the issue.

Wanted To Buy: R33 Gtr Washer Bottle Bracket/washer Bottle Complete
FineLine replied to MillsyR33's topic in Wanted to Buy
Yeah I have one in Ipswich Brendan -
This car is among the most complete packages you could wish for, I have watched its development from very close to hands on helping over the last few years, The asking price is ridiculous when you add up what has been spent to make it what it is. Sorry to see it go Dave and I hope it goes to a home where it will be appreciated and not abused.

For those of you across the border who missed out last time heres your second chance. Proudly bought to you by Shanons insurance, QLD Raceway and SAU QLD A once in a lifetime opportunity has been presented to the club to co host a banquet evening with guest speakers in the persons of Jim Richards and Fred Gibson. As most of you are aware Jim drove the all conquering gtr's to unparalelled success in the early 90's capturing drivers championships and Bathurst wins along the way. These amazing race cars were prepared by none other than Fred Gibson and his team to a standard not found even in Japan at the time. It is doubtful that there would be a skyline following to the extent we enjoy today without these guys lighting up Australian racetracks and the imagination of car enthusiasts like ourselves so come along and relive the part of Australian motor sport history that inspired a good many of us to follow the skyline marque. WHAT...An evening with Jim and Fred including a banquet dinner and oratory by both Jim and Fred. WHEN...thursday 18th July 7pm WHERE....The function room at Lakeside Raceway. COST.... Members $50.00 Non members $80.00 DRESS....Neat casual 130 seats are available so first in best dressed. Anyone is welcome so bring your friends and or family along for what will be a memorable evening. As an added attraction Shanons have offerred a very special prize to one lucky winner. Anyone who gets an insurance quote from shanons on the night will go in to a draw to win...wait for it......HOT LAPS IN THE WINFIELD GTR WITH JIM DRIVING..... How good would that be. Jim is in town courtesy of Shanons for the lakeside classic on that weekend 20th/21st July (2days after the banquet) the prize winner must be availalble at the time to claim the ride. The club has been invited to be the feature club on the Sunday for the event. We have been asked to fill the apron in front of the function room with skylines so make them shine and come along, all skylines are welcome. This will also be a great opportunity for the club to promote itself to the public. There will be a big crowd on hand if last years classic is anything to go by. Remember first in best dressed. 1. Time For A New Engine, Which One ?
FineLine replied to skylinecouple's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
go the 25/30 and keep vct. the best of all worlds right there. Response out the wahzoo and torque to burn. If its a gtst simply use 32 engine mounts and it will drop the engine to not much higher in the bay than the 25. -

LOL..Thats a bit harsh Marcus. -
you're too sharp Roy. And I'll call the fokka what ever I like.
-
beiber has been demoted to the toro rosso team for the chinese grand prix and the other aussie Ricciardo will partner Weber. whodathunkthat.
-
an older head will serve you better dave. There are times I just dont drive the chair for this very reason. Mind you putting around in my tweed hat raises their eyebrows a bit. I have had them do a ubolt to hunt me down then just shake their head and drive off when they see the old foge in the tweed cap driving. The walking stick is my second line of defence, if the cap doesnt swing it the cane usually does. Growing old isnt all shit and shrapnel.
-
side skirts will fit, front bar wont, reo wont either. headlights, bonnet, reo, grill and frontbar are different to the series 1.
-
none, take it to the for sale section and put a price on it.
-
Its unlikely your car will be too loud, but if it is. stiff shit.
-
Weber knew where he stood in the pecking order and so does vettel, If the shoe were on the other foot you can bet weber would be keelhauled or worse. He needs to man up and knock the justin beiber lookalike clean out and flip the bird as he walks from redbull.
