  1. Funnily enough my tuner has already sussed out the "sniffer" used by holden to allow for variations in fuel quality and or E content. Reckons he can make it work on our modded cars a piece of piss so if all else fails there's the answer.
  2. At the worst it will involve some minor corrections to your tune once a year. either that or run 2 maps. As I am to understand it the change in ethanol content will not be random. Merely a summer to winter adjustment. That will not be difficult to work around.
  3. LOL, Yeah the pimply face flatcappin drift kids think they are hurting me really really bad because i shit can them on a regular basis.
  4. The conversation I had with the caltex dealer implied that whilst the ethanol content would vary between summer and winter the ron rating would not. I am going to use wide band just to be on the safe side and some logging over a period of time should make or break what they had to say.

  10. Good choice Mark. No sacrifice at all to low down grunt and driveability there. Should be a sweet tow job.

  16. Did my first "organised" event there over 30 years ago Harry. Years later I kept on looking for that west moreton dirt track Not realising I was driving past it every time I went to qr. Its a tunnafun for sure.
  17. Call it what you like Harry, There's no denying the popularity of it. Yes it has been going on forever. If it wasnt popular it would have died.
  18. It must be that its new to you guys down there, We,ve been running time attack with full fields for several years up here. New kid on the block it aint. Its place on the qld scene is well and truly established to the point where other promotors are now duplicating the idea. In hindsight I am thinking this is why its a big deal to the southerners, You dont see much of it, we see enough of it that we build cars around it. Poor old mexicans down in vic havnt even got a sniff of it yet it would seem.
  19. I dont think so Steve. all drive v rear drive doesnt enter the equation imo and neither does the single/twin debate. For the sake of the argument lets put a hp limit on it, say 750 hp. Every man and his dog would prefer the one with the fattest curve making the most torue early and the quickest spool, It aint rocket science. The cock floppers building 1000 hp plus engines for no reason other than to look good on a dyno are just that. The lower hp engine would probably make more power under the curve (average power) anyhoos and be a far more driveable combo.
