Hey everyone I was pulled over last weekend near RE customs. The copper got me for not displaying P plates and bald tyres. On Friday i received another infringement notice stating that i was driving a highly powered vehicle. Ive had my license since 0ctober 2006, im on my green P's and i drive a 1993 r32 GTS-4. It makes 123kw per tonne this means it does not exceed the power to weight ratio which is 125kw per tonne. I called the officer that issued the notice and told him he made a mistake. He told me to go to vicroads and get a letter from them stating that it isnt a highly powered vehicle. They said they could not write the letter because they didnt have the power figure on record. has anyone been in this situation before? What should i do? thanks

Hey everyone I have 18" Gmax enigma rims on my r32 gts-4 they are 8" wide and they have 235/40 R18 tyres on them. I was defected for having bald tyres. I went to vicroads to clear the defect and they told me that my tyres and rims are too big for my car. They said that the largest tyres i can have are 215/50 and rims no larger than 16" on the front and back. is this true? are my rims illegal? thanks

It started!!!! I changed the plugs and it started. No smoke, runs as good as ever thanks

I didnt check the fuel filter, but the battery is reading 9.9V and when i jump start it the battery only goes to 12.0V Ignition was 30.6 and Injection was 24.88 thats with the key at ignition When i try starting it the wolf hand controller turns off. thanks

i thinks its working, i took of one of the pipes and it was pushing fuel to the engine

Hey everyone About a week ago i tried starting my car a couple of times, it wouldnt start. I realised it had no fuel , so i put 10 litres in and tried starting it again. Nothing, the gauge read there was a decent amount of fuel but it didn't start. The engine cranks but it doesn't fire. I jump started it and it didn't start. The engine is definitely getting fuel. The injectors are working - used crank angle sensor to check. And there is spark Im running a wolf v500 ecu i swapped it with the stock one and still didn't start, i used consult but consult wouldn't turn on???? What could be the problem?? The engine cranks but it doesn't fire?? Could it be a CAS related problem? Could i have damaged something trying to start it with no fuel?

im in SE suburbs hey mate i dont know if anyone has said this or wether your cars been painted. i didnt want to read all of your thread. go to as many panel beaters as you can and ask them if they would paint your car if you did the prep work yourself; make all panels and kit straight. sand it back, body filler, and primer. if you have time and the right tools this will save you shitloads of money, and you can get a better paint job with the money you save. i fixed my damage and prepped it for paint. but ive had some experience in panel beating. im still waiting to get it painted. lol. i have photos of my repair job, if you want to see what a home job looks like. goodluck

e i dont think the clutch slipped once the clamping pressure was good for my power. it started slipping when i started riding the clutch exessively. (know i shouldnt ride the clutch) im pretty confident that the exedy HD has the clamping pressure i need, and that it would last alot longer if i didnt ride it. ill definetely give jim berry a call and see what he has to offer. thanks

hey thanks, yeh i did ride the clutch very often i think ill just go for the exedy HD should i get the cushion button or the button? i have the cushion button atm, its reali heavy. can anyone give me an opinion on the cushion button and button clutches, and which one lasts longer. thanks

sliding performance said not to buy a cushion button. i have a cushion button now and it didnt last very long. the last owner went through 2 extreme HD, im not sure how long he had them for but he said they didnt last long. what do you think of the exedy ceremetalic?

hey i PM'd sliding performance about buying a clutch. i told him i have a r32 220kw gts4 with a gtr gearbox. and that i have a exedy HD cushion button thats slipping. he said to choose between the HD 5puk and the exedy ceremetallic. i read about jim berry clutches on sau and only saw good reviews. my budget is $650. could i buy a jim berry that suits my car for under $650? or should i go with the ones sliding performance offered me? this might be a stupid question, does it matter what flywheel i have? (extreme lightened) will any clutch fit any flywheel? and where is the cheapest place i could get my clutch fitted? im in melbourne. i was quoted over $700 labour by most mechanics, they said its a 10hr job because its 4wd sabbadin automotive in melb quoted me $350, it sounds cheap to me but is there anywere cheaper? thanks
