  1. Hey buddy, I was also researching into putting an RB26 into a 350z over in the states, I'm moving there fairly soon and wanted a ride. But in researching, I found that it's difficult to put the RB into anything that's LHD as the turbo and ancillaries are going to interfere with the steering components, unless you spend copious amounts of money into putting a high mount single turbo onto the RB. RB26 into 350Z That's just an example, be it a drag car, but thought you might like a link of how it can be done. It can be done, but it's a big cost hit, compared with rebuilding a VQ series engine. I'm sure you've come across the U.S. sites which do sell the RB's like I have, which is why your looking at shipping from overseas direct. Perhaps wait for how the new VQ35HR engines are like? but im unsure how it's going to be be boost-friendly as it has a higher compression than current VQ35DE's.
  2. I have them on... only because my sil80 has crap all lighting!! anyone who's got a cef or a silvia/180sx knows the normal headlights are crap.... I use the foglights to see the ground right in front of me for any pot holes (lol), but turn them off once I get at a well lit area, really not needed around there..... on the M4 in sydney though, I need it
  3. heh, wish I could, but not enough track days, need to have more track days to burn tyres!
  4. been drifting for all of... 2 events, and i've gone through 2 sets of tyres already. Not going to add onto what's already been said, basically the bases have been covered. It's just a great sport to get into, to be able to control the car on the verge of spinning out. Just come prepared, mech. diff, coilovers, and LOTS of tyres, and you'll have fun. Power would be nice, but handbrake is a good tool to get sideways also.
  5. I was just wanting more information about the EzyTrak tracking system that you've mentioned, a site that I could go to, or even a phone number I could contact them on for further information. I have tried to pm you, as such your Inbox is full. Thanks.
  6. links broken?
  7. help desk!!! i'm in help desk, not getting anywhere though, hahahah... but wanting to go to system administrator.
  8. Or just have one of those tyre inflator canisters. It'll save you weight, but I suggest this only for short trips, i.e. preferably 50km or below from your house, as the tyre inflator doesnt last long.
  9. if no one has suggested it yet, get the V35 coupe, but chuck in any of the RB motors in!!! I've seen workshops in japan fit the RB26 in the 350z, i'm sure they can fit them in the V35. As for styling, i've seen the coupe in america when I went overseas. When you see it in person, it looks a lot more sexier than in pictures, and, to me at least, it doesn't remind me of the 350z anymore. My opinion anyways.
  10. bring the photo diary back rezz!! they're cool,
  11. he is? wow, hey martin, hopin ya read this, magstore.com.au isn't doing a good job of gettin u're subscribed readers their mags!!
  12. yeah, get a shite car first, i got a mazda 626 1984 model, pretty crap, but it does drift very well, for a fwd'er, hehehehe, i got no grip at the back and the shocks are gone
  13. heh, least u got a Hot4's mag, they'll have to send you the HPI magazines sooner or later, so u got a free mag outta it, lol...... i kept thinking someone stole my mail, cuz i never received anything for weeks, then i emailed them, and they said that it was just sent, so it was very late
  14. yeah, a nice confirmation of what you ordered and when it was shipped woulda been nice, do they have a suggestion box on their site? lol
  15. are they doing the subscriptions for HPI, or can you go directly to HPI and order the subscription from them? next time, I would rather do that, than go for an intermediary company such as magstore.com.au if this continues
  16. mmm, i got a subscription of HPI mag from them, it takes a while for them to send things, like i'm not sure if i even got the latest issue of HPI, i'm in the states, so i'm going to check once i get back.
  17. off topic but hey benm, where in penrith u bouts? i'm in penrith, kingswood to be exact
  18. what would be the rev limiter? the peak power is at 7200rpm ,wouldn't this mean it could rev a lil more, say till 8500rpm, maybe even 9000rpm? cuz the GT-R's now have peak at 6800rpm(?) , and rev till 8500rpm(?) ..... figures just the top of my head btw, correct me if i'm wrong
  19. i was at the 1/8 IFMAR(?) Internationals in NSW, pretty awesome little things, i had it on video tape, but dunno where it went..... those things just rocket past you, and they sound awesome
  20. ok, i might be opening up a can of beans that'll spill into what should be another thread but........ what would be cheaper, if you wanted to have a weekend car, and a track day car..... a worked gts-t, or a worked gt-r, both having say...... 600hp at the engine? or would there be too many variables involved? just running on my train of thought here
  21. the site for info used to be the HPI site(no not high performance imports, lol), HPIracing.com ....... the forums there used to be flooded with ppl, but now it's only for ppl that actually own the HPI cars..... i'm not sure where all the ppl went ...
  22. what kinda kit did you get?
  23. doughboy, how much rwkw do you have with the 2530's at 1.2 bar boost?
  24. hey guys, this is all turning into like one of those american threads, domnestic vs imports..... i don't want it to turn into one of these!! they go on forever!!!! i was at car and driver(?) forum, and one of these threads went on for like 10 or so pages, bash this, bash that..... my point.... leave whatever be, if someone likes the domestics, let them have their opinion of what's best..... if someone likes imports, let them have their opinion of what's best.....and i mean no disrespect to anyone, i just want the bickering arguments over which is better, to stop... plz
  25. sweet, give me a pm when u get here, i'll eagerly be awaiting to feel what its like to have 200+ rwkw .............. i've had a diet of ford tx3's and 200sx's up till now, would be good to compare
