Just got my custom MLS head gasket back the bores in between pistons is fine but the bore towards the outside of the are a little out of shape. Do you think this might affect the gaskets sealing ability?

The entire car is stock except the muffler which is welded on.

Head Gasket Bore 77mm, Bore 76.5, Is This Ok?
R33GTS25 replied to R33GTS25's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yeah, knew they were a little bigger but how much bigger was my drama. Ive also been told you can have them exactly the same size as the bore as long as the piston doesnt hit the gasket it should be fine. Thanks. -
Basic Mods To Improve Handling For Track?
R33GTS25 replied to R33GTS25's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Swaybars are on their way, i knew they were same thing as anti roll bars but just wanted to make 100% sure . Brakes are stock except for Ferodo pads, braided lines and vented front bar to cool brakes. Alignment will be ok for now as i dont want the tyres to wear too fast or uneven, as i said its a daily driven street car. Wont get the bushings done as i dont want to bounce around TOO much on the streets of sydney. Carbon fibre parts are too expensive for me at this time so i have to pass on that. At the track i basically rip out all the seats, rear parcel shelf, door trims, glove box/ under arm box etc.... all the easy stuff. -
Hey, So far: Koya Drift Tek rims, 17x8 front, 17x9 rear, Toyo R888 semi slicks all round. G4 street spec coilovers all round. Engine bay brace and under carriage bracing. Hicas lockbar. Lightened (as much as legally possible for street use). What else do you recommend to improve handling? Keeping in mind i have a very very low budget and it is a daily driven street car. Sway bars? Anti roll bars? Thanks!

R33GTS25 replied to boostin_r33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
R32 GTR - $15000 (j-spec price) R32 GTST - $10000 (j-spec price) Why bother with a GTST when for an extra 5 grand you get better everything. -

Someone decided to break off my nissan badge which covers the keyhole on the bootlid... just wondering how i can fix it? it seems to be missing 2 pieces. 1 which holds it in place the other which limits its swing travel. Can i fix it or where can i get a new one? EDIT: Just had a proper look at it... i dont think its fixable. Where can i get a new one?

Thats good to hear. If they can pull it off, what i would LOVE to see is a Supra, all the GTR's (32 33 34 and 35), the XR8, XR6, F6 phoon, SS commo, WRX STI, Evo, etc.. in a battle on mount panorama! (fully tuned ofcourse) I would also love to see a tuner battle like CRD, DRC, HiOctane, etc.. etc.. battle it out with their best cars (circuit, drag, drift ... whatever)

best motoring and hot version are best... forget about ignition. You dont even need to understand japanese and those are better than ignition. im watching the touge battles right now, f**kEN AWESOME.

-
No budget, i believe you get what you pay for. I want it to last alteast 5 years before i get bored of it and go for a family car.
-
Can anyone suggest where would be best to go for a street/race package....by that i mean taking a stock 1992 r32 gt-r and fixing it up to suit street and track use.... i would like atleast 300kw at the wheels.... So far DRC, CRD and DART are on my mind but i havent had any time to go there during business hours to sit down and chat. Thanks.

Rb30det Not Making Power ? Any Ideas
R33GTS25 replied to MR VLT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Compression test.... leak down test??.... no fkn idea what it means but my cuz said it might help since you did some head work. 8:1-8.5:1 compression: 150-170 psi per cylinder 8.5:1~9.5:1 compression: 170-210 psi per cylinder 9.5:1~11:1 compression: 210-275 psi per cylinder also make sure there isnt more than +-20 psi difference between each cylinder also he suggested pressure testing the intercooler system for leaks.... -
