Hmm I'd much rather change both seeing as I've already bought them both anyway, any ideas on why it's not lining up? And also waht does the VCT actually do? as in is it necessary? Thanks for the advice though. Cheers Steve

I'm currently installing HKS adjustable cam gears in my RB25, the gear does not appear to line up with the original bolthole on the intake cam, can someone who has fitted these please give me some advice on how to solve this problem. I have done a search already and found nothing other than SydneyKids guide which does not address this issue. Also what does the VCT on the intake cam do and do I need it with the HKS cam gear? Yeh man I used turps on mine and wrecked the duco, my mistake was I was at work and someone had sprayed C**T in huge bright orange letters on the boot of my car, so like an idiot I wiped it off using too much turps and didn't really wash it off all that well... So I had to respray the whole boot MAKE SURE you wash it off well if you use turps!!!

No mate, not where the spare tyre is. You don't need to remove the bottom of the boot. when you open the boot you have the boot lining on the back, take that off and you'll see the battery for your car on the left and on the right is the assembly for the fuel cover. That's where it is. To memory there's a few screws to remove and wires to unplug and a large black circle assembly which is the screw top to the top of the fuel tank.

I wouldn't use metho mate, you can damage the paint over time doing that, happened to me after some annoying little s**t spray painted the back of my car with obscenities Maybe just apply heat as suggested and perhaps that big kevs goo remover os something similar?

At Mount Colah just now, saw tyre trails off the lights that went across both lanes, smelt burning rubber and spotted a gunmetal grey R32 parked at the rubber duckies. Mate if you weren't avoiding an accident or some other legitimate reason you're a bloody idiot, I hope you're not in SAU.

The cooler I have now is not a Trust one as far as I know, it's a universal one from a well known trader on here(not slide) We are doing the installation ourselves and so I'm not worried about costs in that regard, so yeah I might just buy a universal 19 row core. Blitz, thanks mate for the info, that's what I needed to know, I've actually gone and decided to get just the oil cooler core from justjap in 19 row for $100 and just cut my losses on the other one, so if you want a spare... Chris, pm me and I'll tell you who NOT to buy it from incase it happens to you as well, ordering the right one and receiving something smaller LOL. To answer your question a oil cooler and filter relocation kit cost me $380 delivered.

I am fairly certain the standard oil pump can support a cooler but I have a GTR oil pump anyway

Hi guys I recently purchased a oil cooler kit from xxxxx, wanting a 19 row cooler for my R33. It finally arrives and it's a 10 row cooler. How much worse is this going to be for my car? Can I still use it? It'd take ages to send back to Japan and recieve a new one that is 19 row. The car is a series 1 GTS-T running a garret 3071R and all supporting mods.
