  1. Thought it would be useful to share my turbo upgrade as i know many people are looking for a reasonable budget turbo upgrade. After searching the forums constantly i noticed the gt3076r was probably going to be the best option for me. The hks range was just to expensive and the high flows dont offer enough power. Thankfully people like Cubes, Lithium, Al and The Mafia had posted up there results and problems so most of their issues were avoided. List of mods before upgrade eboost 2 pod 3"turbo back exhaust fmic pfc mods purchased for upgrade bosch 044 sard 850cc injectors gt3076r 0.82 housing, with larger waste gate flapper & hole. (made by mtq WA) Oil & water lines (supplied by mtq) z32 afm custom required piping done by hyperdrive ie dump, cooler piping etc i think that is all I have attached two different dynos. One was from December last year where you can see there was an issue with lag (this was caused by a faulty 7psi actuator). Unfortunately as the workshop closed the next day i had to drive it around for the next month as they only just re opened for tuning. I was stuck wondering whether this was just the way the car was going to be as many workshop said it was normal, (bullshit). After speaking to cubes, lithium and discopatoe and showing them the dyno they all agreed it wasnt normal and to look at putting a larger psi actuator on there as they had experienced similar issue with lower rated actuator, thansk for the help much appreciated. Cheers to dangerman too. The Mafia for not bothering to respond to any of my query's. So yesterday i had them put on a 18psi garrett acuator and problem solved, full boost by 3900 rpm. Note i have stock manifold, stock cams and it is rb25. The car was getting one ping of 80 so the tuner took out heaps of timing and managed to get it safe. Never goes over 10 knock on the road. As you can see 271.8rwkw is not huge but it was the power i was chasing as the engine is stock and i need it to be realiable. Also you can see the dip in power from 6500rpm onwards probably due to over heating because of faster boost. It had also done about 10 power runs so it was pretty hot. This was done on a W.A dyno so there MAYBE a lower figure compared to the eastern states. I am sure a set of cams, maybe a new manifold and i could see higher figures but at this stage i am happy with where it is an achieved my desired result. The turbo sounds awesome just like a jet. Must say cheers to hyperdrive also for putting up with my constant phone calls. Andrew your a champ. msg_a198025_.pdf SKMBT_C25209012111010.pdf SKMBT_C25209012111011.pdf SKMBT_C25209012111020.pdf
  2. well if only i had a choice to go somewhere else i would. But i am stuck with BP for U98, i might be able to use V98 but well theres none near me and they have shot up too. I am waiting for the day e85 comes out.
  3. Farken awesome dude, these are the rims i wish i purchased. You might not have as much fun in them as you would with your old ones but they are very angry rims.
  4. i'll assume your running the standard turbo. The standard 7psi actuator currently on there will be fine.
  5. I promise nothing
  6. Why dont you want to go the 3l?
  7. Lol yeah there are plenty of diy e85 websites.
  8. i will be there Mel that more then makes up for them absent
  9. with JC your level of mods makes fark all difference to the premium and excess is not based on your mods.
  10. But i want it NOW!
  11. I am sure most of you have noticed alot of the eastern states skyline owners have had great results with E85 fuel. Increased power and more importantly for me little to no detonation. I have searched and cannot seam to find any suppliers here in WA. Does anyone know what the situation is with this? Is it here, where is it or when will it be available? Cheers
  12. i always found i got more kms out of the caltex 98. But i agree that i saw higher knock readings with V98. However my car was tuned with B98 so i shouldnt really have put it in there in the first place.
  13. Can anyone confirm the size of the stock wastegate actuator? I thought it was 7psi?? Cause i think they did the same with my gt3076r upgrade. Its a lag fest. I got a 18psi spring going on next tuesday. In your case there is no way you will make 350rwhp with a high flow. I bet Andrew told you that you wouldnt see those figures too. Thats why i went the gt3076r and not a highflow. However i reckon you might get 325rwhp at most on his dyno with a 1 bar actuator. The boost will come on heaps early and should hold all the way.
  14. as you can see m8 everyones different get what you like. I would advise searching this website as there are alot of topics on r34 kits and you will see many photos. Use google too Then after you have spent extensive time on finding one that you really like, purchase one and make sure you get a quality fit.
  15. just get a cooling pro from just jap. Intercoolers all do the same shit some just dont fit properly.
  16. Dress up as a priest, maybe they will pass you then.
  17. ouch why did he go back to the same place?
  18. bomex has a nice front but the rear bar is like the veilside on the r33. I dont like the C west kit heaps better ones out there My options would be in this order do -luck east bear
  19. best to just replace with stock in my opinion cause upgrading to higher hp turbo will mean new injectors, afm, ecu, piping, dump, oil lines etc. With a budget around 2200 it wouldnt be enough imo Unless that gt28 is a direct replacement for the stock one which i doubt, correct me if i am wrong someone. Then if it is a direct fit your looking at around 300rwhp before the injectirs/afm max out anyway. Is the price worth an extra 40hp?
  20. again what size actuator, maybe it has a 1 bar garrett or something on it?
  21. i cant make it anymore my car is so dirty too. dam it
  22. just for a drive, lol
  23. Mel likes to rape I suggest making a route/map first, then when your happy with the setup post up a date and go from there. If you put up a date and come cruise time your not prepared, things go sour
  24. got luck with the yellow ricca Welshpool is the place to go. So fingers crossed you get somone nice. Try go as early as you can, there always more likely to pass you first thing in the morning.
  25. cheap/chinese intercoolers like cooling pro are fine for a mild to medium modded skyline, there really all the same thing. i have a cooling pro fmic looks good and i run 400rwhp with no issues.
