I have no problem with working with the police but it really annoys me when I hear about them being abusive but like us the minority ruin it for the majority.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see car crushing over here in the not too distant future. The reality is that you will never eradicate the issue. London is a great example of this. The CBD has cctv cameras covering just about every street and most businesses have multiple cameras setup and yet people still deal drugs, attack others, damage property, etc despite the extreme amount of surveillance. No matter what legislation is bought in people will still drive like idiots.

Yeah, I made mention of that in the Tapleys Hill Road thread and how quick the media are to blame the "hoon" to get more hits.

I never said about it being bullet proof. Unless we become a police state there will always be people who think they are above the law or can outsmart it. Edit: If we were only allowed 100kw 4 cylinder cars there will be people that modify the cars to get more performance out of their car.

Plus....why get up when you can look at pictures other people took!

I have no idea to be honest but I'd say so, it would take a bit of digging but again they are just stats so the effects of such restrictions may have similar effects here but it could turn out better or worse here. From what I've read they aren't allowed to drive a restricted vehicle regardless...some still take chances but if they get caught they're in big trouble. I'm not entirely sure of the consequences but it's either most of the demerit points take, big fine and car impounded (I don't know how long) or they get their licence suspended, big fine and car impounded. It would again be better to research the topic through government sites though. Edit: Found some info

They've done those restrictions to P platers in Queensland and New South Wales (Not sure about Vic). It would be good to compare stats from before and after the introduction. Although the results won't be the same; it would give us an idea of how effective such restrictions would be.
