  1. I know all about lan parties but I've never been to this place so I don't know what they'll be like with people coming late. Also, I'm on a tight budget at the moment as the melbourne trip is coming up and Hungry Jacks doesn't pay well.
  2. I haven't played most of those games.....or any games for a while so I'll probably get pwnd at the beginning but I'm interested. My only concern is being able to come after you guys start as I might have work till about 10. I might bring a mate along if I can come at a later time.
  3. (Referring to Nene's post) Although I just spent a while defending young drivers(some of them anyway), the guy driving the wrx caused the death of an old man and seriously injured an old woman and showed no remorse and didn't make an effort to help the elderly couple. Yes he and his friends would have been in a state of shock but surely in the time it took to call their friends and ask for some maccas they could have made an effort to check on the condition of the occupants in the other car. I can't speak from experience but surely if they could ask for maccas they could make an effort to help the others/call an ambo/cops.
  4. I've been following that story on boostcruising and apparently the driver escaped but has since been captured....he'll be spending some quality time in the slammer.
  5. Hmmm, it might be time to crack out my old halo pc name for the lan party Although it might not work with all fps....depends on the wording of certain things.
  6. Yeah just went out and had a look...pretty cool.
  7. Nah, at least not when I saw you.
  8. Cheers Pete. I'm not saying that the generation I'm in are better drivers than earlier generations, all I'm trying to get across is that not all young drivers should be blanketed by the same criticism of showing off to mates, generally "hooning" everywhere, etc because there are some of us (even though it may be a small percentage) that drive accordingly to our skills/experience. That's another thing I agree with you on Roo, stat's are rarely consistent over long periods of time as methods change which makes the data almost redundant as we can't tell what group made up what percentage of the accidents.
  9. Fail! Cheers for trying anyway!
  10. There ya go! Although I do agree with you on one thing. Driver attitude is the major issue. Not all young drivers think they're the next drift king/V8 hero. I for one know I'm not capable of driving as well as others and I drive accordingly (as stated before) but I'm not saying I'm perfect (also stated before).
  11. Ummm, well for starters I wasn't judging all drivers in one paragraph and even if I did, you did it in one sentence then totally contradicted yourself by saying I shouldn't judge all drivers as one. I can't speak for all 16-24 year old drivers but I take it fairly easy in the hills and most other times because I wasn't brought up with fast cars or particularly good handling ones either and I know I lack the skill of others on here so I stick to the middle/back of cruises, etc. I'm not saying I'm a perfect driver by any means...I've made mistakes but fortunately I've never been in a crash/been caught speeding. What I was getting at is that no-one is a perfect driver at a young age and you shouldn't go generalising. In regards to taking it to a track....I don't know what was available back when you were learning but there is only one track that is bloody expensive to hire and I for one don't know anyone with a large enough property to improve me driving on so I stick to the limit most of the time (even with friends in the car) unless it's safe to go faster and even on hills runs I rarely exceed the speed limit (not to say it's not dangerous).
  12. And news travels far faster these days with the speed in which technology has developed so the media can get the story out asap even though they don't know the full story (see the crash thread on NS as an example). I'm in no way claiming it's always the case but people like to jump to conclusions and generalize. Also, I don't think anyone is trying to say a 16-24 year old driver is better than a 30+ year old driver, they're trying to point out that everyone did stupid things when they were young (some worse than others) so I don't see how people can compare their driving now to a 16-24 year old when in reality they probably "hooned" around at that age.
  13. Yeah, I saw this the other day. Has anyone gotten up the the part where the intercooler piping doesn't line up?
  14. Spotted Andrew on Pirie Street. A white 32 gtst on East Terrace lowered on stockies. The black Audi R8 with the plates 808080 (or similar) on Hackney Road. A black Audi A4 with the plates Auwi (Member on NS) Finally a white 34 GTT in a servo on North East Road.
  15. Did you speak to your mate about the pedobear stickers?
  16. They can be a bit hit and miss so it's best to check the product you are getting before buying them. I have viva front guards on the 32 but they don't fit well and you can feel/see undulations that shouldn't be there. That being said, JDM032 has some stuff from there that looks great and fits well.
  17. That volvo you posted the other day?
  18. I like the fact they didn't use any regular forms of advertising the R35.
  19. I recorded supercar
  20. lol, I love the part where Carlos goes green in the face after a couple of laps in the gtr.
  21. The problem is that driving courses can make people bigger "hero's" than they already are. Back in the cruisingsa days there was 1 or 2 members who had done some form or driving course and they drove like the biggest hero's out of the other members.
  22. Spotted 2 black 33's heading down North East Road last night.
  23. Funny car ad
  24. +1
  25. How far back are the seats in that photo of the interior on the last page?
